Spacious and wonderfully positioned corner unit condo on the third floor that offers privacy, no noise from above and only one wall connecting this unit with others. The main living area and bedroom face the ocean for spectacular views. There are no elevators on Molokai so only steps can get you to this beautiful view.
The main bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom (a rarity at Wavecrest) has a queen size bed, a tv to watch DVDs, and views of the well maintained Wavecrest grounds and the mountains.
This nicely decorated condo with Hawaiian décor comes with a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable furniture, a 48 inch flat screen smart tv with cable service and a Blu-ray player. The condo has 4 ceiling fans and all the windows have jalousie/louvered windows allowing the trade winds to flow through the condo whenever needed. Wireless internet is also available at no cost. You will have all the comforts of home, but with paradise right outside your door.
From the lanai you can enjoy the view of the palm trees blowing in the ocean breeze while drinking a morning cup of coffee or whale watching in the winter months.
You will also have all of the resort amenities at your disposal including an oceanfront swimming pool, a large covered cabana, gas barbeque grills and kitchen area, coin op laundry facilities, shuffleboard, and tennis courts. Wavecrest Resort also offers a calendar of events that you can have via contacting us.
The Molokai tropical East side and spectacular mountains create a lush backdrop for Wavecrest Resort. Molokai is known as The Friendly Isle. It is also considered the most Hawaiian island. Like stepping back in time 50 years, you will not find traffic lights, elevators, shopping malls, or night life on Molokai. What you will find is a natural Hawaiian paradise, a place for relaxation, beautiful ocean views, quiet beaches, friendly people, and old Hawaii.
We reside in the Pacific Northwest and love the beauty of the outdoors, sunshine and traveling. We found the natural beauty of Molokai to be a slice of paradise and wanted to make it a bigger part of our lives. In Molokai we can enjoy some of our favorite outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking any time of the year.
Randy and Lisa Carpenter purchased this condo in 2014
We visited three of the Hawaiian islands, Oahu, Maui, and Molokai on our honeymoon. We fell in love with Molokai because of its natural beauty and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We're excited to be able to share our 'slice of paradise' with others. We hope you'll love Molokai as much as we do.
There are only a limited number of 2 bedroom condos at Wavecrest Resort so we feel fortunate to own one of them because they are the only units that offer an ocean view from the main living area as well as the main bedroom. It is amazing to wake up to the sun rising over Maui. From the lanai we can sip a morning cup of coffee while whale watching in the winter months or just enjoy the spectacular view.
We enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect for 2 couples. We loved the third floor. The view was beautiful. Molokai is a special island. The people are very friendly. We hope to return to the island. Thank you!
This was our second visit to Molokai and the second time we stayed at Wavecrest. We really like Wavecrest - the ground are immaculate, people are helpful and nice, the pool is beutiful and the views are great. As an added plus Goods N Grindz is not far (the honey dipt chicken is amazing). This visit was so much better though because of this getaway.
-first and foremost - the layout is SOOOO much better than the 1 bedrooms there. This unit is not as updated as some, but that didn't matter - everything you need is there. Last year when we were there in a 1 BR I couldn't sleep - people walking by and I felt weird having the windows open when someone can just look in. Not to mention that we could actually hear people snoring! This place was so much better...relaxing and the view from king bed so so nice. Even the front bedroom is situated great - no walkway behind it.
-so much stuff in the kitchen - and the pots are like new. The cooler was really useful and lots of ice cube trays.
-there were lots of towels and they were like new. It was great.
-we really appreciated all the hooks around for stuff in the bacthroom and other places.
-the windows (louvers) were SO much better than the other unit we rented before. The wind was crazy strong most nights and we couldn't hear much at all once they were closed. And they worked smoothly.....
-my husband really appreciated the tall shower head - and they made the most of the bathroom/shower with the curved rod
-loved the decor - especially the wooden turtle!
-of course the views were heavenly.....
-one thing to note which we found out - Makani Kai is actually off airport in Oahu. We read that they are acquiring space on airport - but we had to take a cab to get to it! That was a surprise - they don't really mention it on thier website (I think). After trying both I'd go back to Mokolele....
-the owners were so promt with any questions we had....exteremly responsive
We highly recommend this property. Someof our favorites on the island....Goods and Grindz. Get the chicken - we get a 20 piece and have iit cold for a lunch or two. Hikes on the west side to the beaches you can't drive to. Snorkeling at Morphy's - lots of fish - even saw a turtle there. Eating waterfront at Hotel Molokai and enjoying the music on Friday night.
..sigh...wish I were going back soon....
We looked at a few others and ours was the envy amongst our seven other friends (8 units rented). The front bedroom doesn't have a common hallway creating a privacy issue so we were able to have great cross ventilation with the trade winds. Without the winds blowing freely through the condo it would have been a little too warm for sleeping (early June). The balcony is spectacular with better than advertised views. The condo is a little older than others but had all the necessary items. Some specific extras would have been simple to provide and greatly appreciated like beach towels (there was one), toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap. We did enjoy the bamboo beach mats and the large quantity of DVDs; thank you!
The owners were great to coordinate with and they helped me cancel one of the original days. I would absolutely recommend this property and would definitely want to rent it again.
My brother and I stayed for a week and had a great time. The grounds at Wavecrest are beautifully maintained and clean. The people we met were all friendly and laid back. Go without an agenda and enjoy what each day brings. We drove around the entire island and loved the lack of tourists. Had beaches to ourselves, snorkeled, played games, and explored. Be sure to grab groceries in town before you head to the condo. Came home completely relaxed. Thank you Randy and Lisa!
Our stay was great. All necessary amenities provided and the owner's personal touches/art/furnishings made it feel like a home not a rental condo. We enjoyed the property and would stay here again when visiting Molokai!
Randy and Lisa's condo in Molokai is a wonderful spot. Definitely one of the best units in the complex (top floor, two bedrooms, updated and comfortable). We spent five nights and did a lot on the island; Wavecrest is a very convenient base. Whale watching, a hike to/tour of Kalaupapa, and drive up the East side were highlights. We also spent a morning lounging by the pool enjoying the Wavecrest environment, which was peaceful and relaxing. Jackie and Peter, Seattle
Shop at the Saturday Farmer's Market in Kaunakakai, hike to the waterfalls in Halawa Valley, visit the longest white sand beach in Hawaii--Papohaku, hike, take a mule ride, or fly to the historic leper colony in Kalaupapa.
