About the property

Oceanside 2 Bed/1 Bath, Top Corner Unit With Remarkable Ocean And Mountain Views

Spacious and wonderfully positioned corner unit condo on the third floor that offers privacy, no noise from above and only one wall connecting this unit with others. The main living area and bedroom face the ocean for spectacular views. There are no elevators on Molokai so only steps can get you to this beautiful view.

The main bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom (a rarity at Wavecrest) has a queen size bed, a tv to watch DVDs, and views of the well maintained Wavecrest grounds and the mountains.

This nicely decorated condo with Hawaiian décor comes with a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable furniture, a 48 inch flat screen smart tv with cable service and a Blu-ray player. The condo has 4 ceiling fans and all the windows have jalousie/louvered windows allowing the trade winds to flow through the condo whenever needed. Wireless internet is also available at no cost. You will have all the comforts of home, but with paradise right outside your door.

From the lanai you can enjoy the view of the palm trees blowing in the ocean breeze while drinking a morning cup of coffee or whale watching in the winter months.

You will also have all of the resort amenities at your disposal including an oceanfront swimming pool, a large covered cabana, gas barbeque grills and kitchen area, coin op laundry facilities, shuffleboard, and tennis courts. Wavecrest Resort also offers a calendar of events that you can have via contacting us.

The Molokai tropical East side and spectacular mountains create a lush backdrop for Wavecrest Resort. Molokai is known as The Friendly Isle. It is also considered the most Hawaiian island. Like stepping back in time 50 years, you will not find traffic lights, elevators, shopping malls, or night life on Molokai. What you will find is a natural Hawaiian paradise, a place for relaxation, beautiful ocean views, quiet beaches, friendly people, and old Hawaii.

About Randy and Lisa Carpenter

We reside in the Pacific Northwest and love the beauty of the outdoors, sunshine and traveling. We found the natural beauty of Molokai to be a slice of paradise and wanted to make it a bigger part of our lives. In Molokai we can enjoy some of our favorite outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking any time of the year.

Randy and Lisa Carpenter purchased this condo in 2014

Why Randy and Lisa Carpenter chose Molokai

We visited three of the Hawaiian islands, Oahu, Maui, and Molokai on our honeymoon. We fell in love with Molokai because of its natural beauty and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We're excited to be able to share our 'slice of paradise' with others. We hope you'll love Molokai as much as we do.

What makes this condo unique

There are only a limited number of 2 bedroom condos at Wavecrest Resort so we feel fortunate to own one of them because they are the only units that offer an ocean view from the main living area as well as the main bedroom. It is amazing to wake up to the sun rising over Maui. From the lanai we can sip a morning cup of coffee while whale watching in the winter months or just enjoy the spectacular view.

Sunrises and whale watching

  • 4 of 5

The ocean views and sunrises from the lanai and even from bed were spectacular! It was nice having binoculars because we loved watching the whales spout and jump from the lanai. We grill all of our meals so access to the grill and the cabana was convenient and we were also able to attend the annual luau which was delicious and fun. This was our 5th year on Moloka'i and I have to say being on the third floor for the first time we loved that it was "pest" free (of course we keep everything in ziplocs). The breezes and fans kept the place cool throughout. The hosts are wonderful and extremely responsive to any needs you might have. Thank you for sharing your home with us for 6 weeks.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Aloha,

We sure enjoyed our time at your place, it was all what we expected and more. We love the end unit. To relax from the busy world is what was so nice. We also had chicken at Molokai Burgers, oh and the pizza was great next door. We were also able to go to Mass at St Damien's in Kaunakakai both Saturday Nights while we were there. We met a couple from Church and had a nice dinner at the Paddlers Inn. We also took the flight over to Kalupapa, everyone should go sometime it is very humbling. Slower pace, beautiful beaches, gorgeous sunsets, ocean views, friendly people, perfect weather, and the grounds at Wavecrest were very well maintained. We enjoyed the pool, and also cooked on the grill. But what we enjoyed the most was watching the water and whales from the lanai. Your unit was the best. I hope it is available when we can vacation in Molokai again.

Thank you for making our trip most memorable.

Wonderful property on Molokai

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week at this condo. The hosts have thought of everything when they furnished and stocked their place. It truly is like a home away from home. The kitchen has every item you can imagine, the bedrooms are very comfortable, there are lots of bathroom amenities - lotions, first aid meds, towels, ample closets, and new beach and pool gear. In fact it is so well stocked, you could come here with just your clothes and you would be fine.

The current photos don't do justice to updated furniture and decor. Best of all Lisa was very responsive and quickly answered our questions and followed up on a couple of things after we arrived.

As other guests mentioned, this may be the one of very best locations at WaveCrest (2 bedroom on the end, on the water, on third floor). The condo is spacious, airy, private and directly on the water. We enjoyed the books on Hawaii and Molokai, and all the small thoughtful comfort touches. As I write this, I can hear the waves outside and the view over to Maui and Lanai is lovely. We travelled all over the island, and think the east side is a better side to stay, more lush, better scenery, not so remote, closer to the action, with small beaches. The west side has a gorgeous beach, which you can drive to.

We found food prices not as high as we expected. We shopped often at Friendly's, which had specials at mainland prices (eg. salmon, Greek yogurt, fruit), and had very good meals at the local restaurants. There are enough places, you don't have to eat anywhere more than once, if you don't want to.

Because of the time of our stay, we were able to participate in many native Hawaiian activities, since Molokai was celebrating their Winter festival, Mahahiki. This got us meeting and spending time with key people on Molokai, which was an unexpected treat, who were very generous with information on local going-ons and including us in their lives.

Don't miss the weekly kapuna music jam at Hotel Molokai.

We would return to this condo in a heartbeat. Hope we get to.

Thank you Lisa and Randy for providing us a great vacation rental.

Not your usual tourist destination-but our speed!

  • 5 of 5

Condo is lovely, on 3rd floor view great. Accident with toilet-owners incredibly nice and responsive. Rapid repair by condo staff. Don't go to this island if you want Waikiki intensity. "Let Molokai change you, don't try to change it." Beauty abounds, with peace quiet and love.

Great Place - Cant Wait to Go Back

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Molokai and the second time we stayed at Wavecrest. We really like Wavecrest - the ground are immaculate, people are helpful and nice, the pool is beutiful and the views are great. As an added plus Goods N Grindz is not far (the honey dipt chicken is amazing). This visit was so much better though because of this getaway.

-first and foremost - the layout is SOOOO much better than the 1 bedrooms there. This unit is not as updated as some, but that didn't matter - everything you need is there. Last year when we were there in a 1 BR I couldn't sleep - people walking by and I felt weird having the windows open when someone can just look in. Not to mention that we could actually hear people snoring! This place was so much better...relaxing and the view from king bed so so nice. Even the front bedroom is situated great - no walkway behind it.

-so much stuff in the kitchen - and the pots are like new. The cooler was really useful and lots of ice cube trays.

-there were lots of towels and they were like new. It was great.

-we really appreciated all the hooks around for stuff in the bacthroom and other places.

-the windows (louvers) were SO much better than the other unit we rented before. The wind was crazy strong most nights and we couldn't hear much at all once they were closed. And they worked smoothly.....

-my husband really appreciated the tall shower head - and they made the most of the bathroom/shower with the curved rod

-loved the decor - especially the wooden turtle!

-of course the views were heavenly.....

-one thing to note which we found out - Makani Kai is actually off airport in Oahu. We read that they are acquiring space on airport - but we had to take a cab to get to it! That was a surprise - they don't really mention it on thier website (I think). After trying both I'd go back to Mokolele....

-the owners were so promt with any questions we had....exteremly responsive

We highly recommend this property. Someof our favorites on the island....Goods and Grindz. Get the chicken - we get a 20 piece and have iit cold for a lunch or two. Hikes on the west side to the beaches you can't drive to. Snorkeling at Morphy's - lots of fish - even saw a turtle there. Eating waterfront at Hotel Molokai and enjoying the music on Friday night.

..sigh...wish I were going back soon....
