About Bill Torongo
Im a life long resident of Roscommon. I grew up on this river and love all it has to offer. We fish, canoe and swim in the summer and ski in the winter. Roscommon is home.
What makes this House unique
This house is cool because it is close to town but may as well be a million miles away. There are no canoe liveries upstream so there is no canoe traffic. it is totally peaceful. The trail head for the ski trail is a short walk down the road. The open floor plan with a fireplace in the middle makes for the tops in relaxation.

The property was beautiful and spacious!!
I loved staying at this property. The owner was very friendly and hospitable! The view of the lake and backyard was awesome. I will definitely come and stay again!
Comfy home in a lovely, relaxing setting.
Bill is an excellent host and has been so helpful throughout our whole rental! A couple friends and I rented this home as a small, end of nursing school celebratory trip. We had such a great time! The home is beautiful with plenty of natural light from the large windows on every side. The backyard was my favorite aspect; the river and bonfire pit made it a perfect area to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. There were a lot of activities in the area as well. We went hiking at Hartwick Pines State Park, had breakfast at Rosco's Restaurant, and went bowling at Fred's of Roscommon. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a few nights in the woods. :)
We had a fantastic weekend in this great house! Lots of beds, lots of room. Really enjoyed the yard and the pool table Thanks so much for renting this river house! The Pines & The Lowes....
Great place to have a family vacation.
This beautiful house is very unique in that all 4 bedrooms have windows facing the river. I also appreciated the beautiful view out of the kitchen area as well. The kids and grandkids enjoyed the pool table as well as the basketball. It was a very cozy house with lots of sunlight coming in the many windows. Very peaceful surroundings. The firepit was also very nice with lots of firewood.
The property was as advertised. Loads of room in the house. Perfect location for a visit to Higgins Lake or the kayak/canoe livery for a trip down the river. Hiking trails just at the end of the street. Bill was a great host asking if there was anything we needed but the house had it all. Wi-Fi worked great both upstairs and downstairs. Would definitely stay again :)
