About Tracey

This is our second home and we are excited to have you experience what made us fall in love with the area. We will be available via phone for any questions you may have. If any problems occur we have an onsite manager that we can put in touch with you if you need further assistance.

Tracey purchased this condo in 2014

Why Tracey chose Brian Head

We looked at many homes and condominiums before choosing this one. We had rented here before and love that it is near everything yet secluded. The management team is top notch and maintenance of the few buildings is impeccable. We also like the idea that snow removal is maintained and firewood delivered directly to our front door. The ability to ski to our place and have lunch or cocoa was something we had only dreamed of until staying here. When we can ski, sled and snowmobile outside our front door we envisioned this as a place our family would continue to gather even after the children have grown. Here's hoping!

What makes this condo unique

We feel fortunate that is is so quiet and you cannot see storefronts or busy roads, only towering pines and open sky. It is ground floor (no stairs to climb) and right on the mountain allowing easy access to skiing and boarding and mountain biking too. We feel it is an added bonus that there is a great sledding hill outside our front door. It is a small secluded complex and it feels more like our own cabin vs a big condominium complex with multiple levels and buildings. A lot of places advertise as ski-in ski-out but we feel this is one of the few that truly is. Many others depend on heavy snowfall to cover parking lots to traverse to the lift. This is not the case as we are located right on the mountain.

Best Brian Head Experience Yet

  • 5 of 5

Tracey and Joe have provided a beautiful place to stay in Brian Head. Their renovation and attention to detail was amazing; even the smallest conveniences were though of. We've stayed in other condos that showed their age, but this one truly felt like someone's pampered home. The location couldn't have been better. We literally went off the back deck and onto the ski run. We hope that everyone staying here will help the Rudmans keep the conditions bright and new. Thanks for a wonderful time... we'll be back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. We try to think of a five-star resort experience in our attention to detail. We stock premium grade coffee and tea to use with our Krupps, include a variety of entertainment for all ages from games to movies, premium linens and so much more to give all the comforts of home. When we furnished "Moosen Lodge" our goal was to have the feel of a rustic mountain getaway with an updated modern touch and are so glad you enjoyed our vision. We chose to purchase our second home away from home because we loved the feel of quiet seclusion with the convenience of being right on the mountain. As you said, truly ski right off the back deck to the lift! We even posted a video to illustrate the point. As you know, we speak to all our guests before renting and it pays off as we have always had the kindest and most caring of people like yourself take great care of "Moosen" like it was their own. Cheers - Tracey & Joe

CAN WE JUST LIVE HERE ALREADY? 😉

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week in April 2018. This home is AMAZING - the location unbeatable . WE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE.

We've rented "ski in ski out" condos before (note the double quotes), but NOW we're spoiled. This home is TRUE ski in ski out. Anyone with basic skiing ability can launch slowly & easily down a mild path off the back deck onto a beginner run. This was heaven, especially for me, as I like nothing less than to face straight down a narrow, steep, icy hill for my first run every morning.

At Moosen Lodge, each of us skied as much or as little as we wanted. We'd take breaks as needed & eat lunch at home. My husband would wake early, beat his chest & leave the rest of us in bed as the lifts were opening. He'd ski alone while we rolled out of bed, fumbled for coffee & smothered pancakes in apricot jam. He'd then ski back onto the deck, sing the day’s ski report (uh, AWEsome) & light just enough of a fire in our inner snow bunnies to make us drop our forks & peel on our base layers. I will not soon forget the gleam in that exhilarated man's eyes.

Ski in/out SAVES TIME & HASSLE: no more packing lunches, waiting for all to eat, shower, find gear, dress, get in car, run back to condo for car keys, get back in car, drive, circle, park, trudge, haul, lock, find bathroom, un-peel, re-peel, ugh, thirsty again? find water & finally, awkwardly, moon walk for days to the lift line. Exhausted yet?

Owners Tracey & Joe thought of EVERYTHING when they outfitted this home. Our favorite touches seem small but made life so EASY - cellphone charging racks, wall hooks for clothes and ski gear EVERYWHERE, infinite stacks of bath & kitchen towels, in-condo laundry, fully stocked kitchen, ample dishes - we never ran out of plates, glasses OR forks!, an abundance of sweet firewood & tiny romantical lights that lit up the deck each night. A bit of wintry magic.

The final highlight of this lovely home was after a full day out on the slopes, we’d cozy into our apres ski boots, sip the bottle of wine they graciously left us & walk right back out that little lateral pass onto the now closed run. Standing there at sunset, gazing up & down, breathing in the peace & beauty & quiet & icy fresh air that only a massive, abandoned snowy slope could offer… that's when we’d break out the SLEDS! Our own private toboggan run.

We could not recommend this home enough. So grateful to Tracey & Joe for their excellent communication & the opportunity to stay. We will be back!

Great place for a family to experience Brian Head!

  • 5 of 5

The Moosen Lodge is awesome. The convenience of being able to roll out the back door to hit the slopes is unbelievable. My wife and I came with our two young boys (7 and 4) and we all loved it. The lodge is extremely comfortable especially when coming out of the cold of the ski slopes or the very nearby Sled Hill. It has all the creature comforts needed to relax as well as entertain the entire family. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing Amazing Amazing Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Brian Head 3 times, and this was by far our best experience. Tracey is so easy to work with, and the condo is immaculate. I work in the travel industry, and this is one of the few rentals I have ever had that not only met but exceeded my expectations. The location is amazing - right on the run. It was plenty of room for a family of 4. Most importantly, every single detail was attended to. You need a step stool? There's one there. Wondering if there are spices in the cabinet? There and labeled. Think it would be nice to have pretty lights on the deck? Already there. There literally was not a single thing we needed or wanted that wasn't there. The decor is so cute and cozy, and all of Tracey's red and Moose accessories are so cool and fun. (The crock pot, the scissors...even the GRILL is red!) The Rudmans are easily some of the best owners I've ever worked with, and we are so very grateful they were willing to share the Moosen Lodge with us. One note: Tracey warned us ahead of time to get a 4WD or snow chains, and I would second that recommendation if you're traveling during winter. The driveway to the condo is gravel and slightly hilly, and if there is fresh snow or ice it's very hard to navigate.

Thank you Rudmans for an amazing week with my family. We hope to be back next year!

Owner's Response: Hi Beth, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful review. We tried to think of everything we would want for our family when we chose the ski in/out location so near the ski school and the private sledding area on our property. It adds to the pleasure that other great families like yours can experience it too. We loved remodeling "Moosen Lodge" to bring it up to date but still giving it a rustic feel. I am glad you liked the red accents throughout, I had fun finding the accessories to add a pop of color. Thrilled you had all that fresh powder and that you came prepared in a 4WD, many have been stuck when they don't come prepared and end up spending their vacation time getting towed out. I hope you will think of us next season. If you do, ask about the returning guest discount. Warm Regards, Tracey

FANTASTIC!!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time! Skiing was awesome.

Moosen Lodge not only gave us easy access to the mountain but is extremely comfortable with its furnishings & decor. The attention given to every detail was spot on. It has all that you need.

Tracey and Joe are amazing. They went above and beyond for us to enjoy our vacation especially since our flights were cancelled due to the blizzard on the East coast.

We loved it here! Looking forward to our next trip.

Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

This place will not disappoint!!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed the feel of "Moosen Lodge" as we remodeled from top to bottom and tried to give it a cozy cabin home away from home feel. We are glad to hear you loved the location. We chose to purchase Moosen Lodge after renting many condos that said they were ski in ski out - but really were not. Being able to ski out your back door to the slopes is dreamlike. We look forward to having you back again for a longer stay! Since your trip was cut short beyond your control, if you book during the '17/'18 season we will gladly comp you one free night on your next stay at Moosen Lodge! Cheeers- Tracey & Joe

The perfect spot. Owners thought of everything. Great decor, fully equipped, quiet and cozy

We had an amazing time at this property. The location was perfect for getting to ski school for my kids, and just playing in the snow. The beds were comfy, kitchen was first rate, beautiful view, couldn't have asked for a better stay. I wish all Vrbo owners were as thoughtful and organized in planning a space for temporary renters. Will stay again for sure!!
