Cozy Cabin On 20 Wooded Acres In Vermont
This cozy log cabin in Tunbridge Vermont is the perfect getaway for a family or a couples retreat. Nestled in the hills of central Vermont by the White River, the cabin is set back off a dirt road on 20 wooded acres with trails, blackberry bushes and apple trees. The large lawn has ample space for games and running around, or just sit quietly and watch the wildlife wander by. A large fire pit is available for s'mores and staying warm on cool nights under the stars. When it is time to go inside there is a TV and DVD player with a large collection of movies to choose from, and wi-fi so you can stay plugged in if you need to. The cabin comfortably sleeps a family or two couples, with a double bed in the loft and a double and a twin in the bedroom.
In the summer their is hiking, with access to the appalachian trail, and fishing, kayaking, and tubing in the nearby White River(10min).
In the fall, just being outside is enough. The fall colors in Vermont are astonishing and should be on everyone's bucket list.
The winter brings Skiing, and from the cabin there are four different mountains nearby. Killington(55min), Pico(55min), Suicide Six(30min), Quechee(30min). There is cross country skiing at Mt. Tom and locally at the Fair grounds. For snowmobilers the Vermont Association of Snow Travellers (VAST) trails run throughout Tunbridge.

Very cozy cabin !We had a lovely stay.
Great, well maintained cabin. Perfect for a get away.
We were very pleased with the cabin and surrounding property. I was very glad we had our 4 wheel drive as we had numerous snow falls and close to 5 miles of unpaved roads to reach the property. Snowshoeing through the surrounding woods was delightful. The gas heating stove (thermostat controlled) kept the cabin more than warm enough (turned it down at night). The kitchen was well furnished. Not too much around for grocery stores, so was glad we brought the food and supplies that we did. Enjoyed great skiing at Killington (about a 1 hour drive).
The online descriptions were accurate, and the owner was prompt with response to our questions both before and during our stay.
Delightful place and I would highly recommend it.
Quaint, quiet, charming.
Overall this cabin had just about everything you'll need. It's definitely a little small for moving about but if youre a nature enthusiast that shouldn't matter much. Very homey and inviting. You can tell time was spent in some of the custom woodwork, very charming. There are trails marked on the property, that I thought was super cool. We had a lovely weekend away here. Would love to come back when the snow melts!
Had a lovely time at the cabin despite frigid subzero temperatures outside. The cabin is incredibly well insulated, much better than our own house, and has a lovely free-standing gas fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and a number of staples were already there. Feels remote but easy driving distance to many activities. We'd love to come when it's warm enough to enjoy the woods around the cabin!
Beautiful property - great amenities!
Stayed for a girls weekend with my mom. The cabin had everything we needed (and more). Thank you for supplying linens, it makes packing soooo much easier! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The gas stove/fireplace was great on chilly nights. Would recommended first arriving in the daylight since the property was hard to find (especially for us city dwellers) but once you get there it's absolutely worth it. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us!
