Pacheco's Hale is a beautiful two-bedroom, second-floor unit - nice and breezy with a private entrance. This clean, quiet unit is completely furnished. The two lanais have views of palm trees, lush green tree tops, Mount Olomana and the Koolau Mountains. The high ceilings and beachy feel make this comfortable unit perfect for your Kailua vacation.

Pacheco's hale is located within minutes of the white sands of Kailua and Lanikai beach, great shopping including boutique shops, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Target and fantastic restaurants.

Catch the sunrise over the Mokulua Islands, take a stroll on renowned beaches, and relax in the cool, Windward breezes. Or take an adventurous kite-boarding lesson, kayak to the Mokulua Islands, then enjoy an afternoon cocktail at one of the many fantastic restaurants. There are so many options!

There is a queen-size bed in one bedroom with its own lanai, and two twin beds in the second bedroom (king size bed available upon request). For your convenience, there is one full bath and a powder room. The nearly full kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, convection toaster oven, griddle, two-burner hot plate, coffee maker and more. All necessary cooking utensils are also provided.

We can accommodate up to five guests comfortably.

Equipment rentals are nearby and convenient including bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboards. Beach equipment including toys, coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. are available upon request.

About Kulia Boerstler

Our family has operated Pacheco's Hale for nearly 30 years. After a short hiatus, we have remodeled and upgraded our quiet, comfortable 2-bedroom unit. Our accommodations are always very clean and filled with Aloha. With a short walk to Kailua Beach and Kailua Town, you are within walking distance to everything you need to make your vacation a memorable one.

Perfect retreat for us in Kailua

We (2 adults and our 16-year-old daughter) just returned from a lovely 9 day Christmas visit staying at Pacheco's Hale. The unit is charming and looks exactly like the photos. As other reviewers have said it is immaculate and everything is practically brand new--and the beds were more comfortable than our beds at home! The décor has a beachy feel and we were immediately right at home. Kulia could not have been better to work with and was helpful and responsive. She even had an arrangement of fresh Christmas flowers on the table awaiting our arrival--such a nice touch. The location is ideal (in a quiet residential neighborhood but close enough for a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to both town and Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai beach). Don't be concerned about it being a garage apartment; it is private and very quiet. I would highly recommend for your Kailau visit.

Beautiful Spot

We just got back from our week in kailua. This rental was great. Everything looks brand new. There were two couples and this place suited our needs perfectly. It was a short walk to the beach or town. Kailua is a wonderful town to stay in. Nice enough that it has a good selection of restaurants, but not crazy and touristy like Waikiki. With two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, it was perfect for the four of us. The beach towels and cooler bags came in really handy. The fridge with the ice maker also really helped as we filled a plastic bag every day and kept the cooler bag cold. There isn't anything I can complain about with the property. Everything was in great condition and really nice. Fleet like I was at someone's house and not a rental property. Hope to be back again.

Beautiful, peaceful, perfect location!

This property was perfect for our group of 4! We had everything we needed in this beautifully decorated and clean apartment. Location was great. My husband and I set out early on a couple occasions. Our college-aged daughter and friend were able to languish in bed and get up according to their own schedule. It was then an easy walk for them into town and/or to the beach. Kulia was great to work with -- very organized with directions and details ahead of time and during our visit. The apartment is very private yet she and Erik were just next door if we needed anything. The welcome basket was very much appreciated and the invitation to spend a few hours with her family on Christmas Eve was truly above and beyond the call of a landlady! I recommend Pacheco's Hale with great enthusiasm!

Bright and Gorgeous

Bright, gorgeous and spacious unit for 4 of us (my husband, I and our two teenage boys). Kulia (the owner) did a beautiful job remodel the place. The unit is nestled in a quite residential area yet only about 10 minutes walking distance into town and to beautiful Kaikua beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Kulia was great and quick in respond to all our of requests. We loved the welcome basket and flower on dinning table. It was a perfect place in perfect location for us!!!

Beautiful unit in a quiet location with awesome owners

This vacation rental is a brand new remodel (we were only the second tenants). The unit is a 2 bed 1.5 bath in a sleepy residential neighborhood that is about a mile to downtown Kailua and in a different direction, Kailua Beach. It's a super quick drive or a good walk. The unit is on the second floor above the garage and there is a private entrance at the side of the house. It basically feels detached from the main house on the property where the owners live (no shared walls and we couldn't hear each other). The windows in the main open-concept living area opens to the street so there is some suburban street noise, but completely tolerable. There is no AC in the unit, but between ceiling fans and other open windows, a cross-wind kept things comfortable.

Our total group was six - family of four with two young children, aged 3.5 and 1.5, plus in-laws. The unit was very comfortable for us and met our requirements - family friendly away from the city, reasonably close to beaches, and a few things to do nearby. Some days we mostly stayed in (having a kitchen was awesome) and other days we just slept there having spent most of the day sightseeing. The size was just big enough to not feel too cramped with four adults and two toddlers and if there was a nitpick, it would be that the couch could have been a bit more comfortable to sink into after a long day.

Kulia, the owner, was also amazing to interact with. When she heard that we were bringing young children, she (free of charge) installed a child safety gate at the top of the stairs of the entrance, child-proofed the unit, and provided sand toys, a stroller, and a pack and play. She even invited us over for drinks and snacks on a free afternoon. Kulia was always available if we needed her or had any questions, but mostly stayed out of our way. Essentially, if you have any extenuating circumstances or specific requests, Kulia is very reasonable and pleasant to work with. We went on vacation and ended up meeting a new friend. We would definitely stay here again.

I read your comment about the distance to Kailua and it surprised me a bit because my daughter and I make the walk to town & the beach a lot, so it got me curious and I googled it - turns out we are about 1/2 mile to Kailua Town (0.6 mi. to Starbucks to be exact At least that's what Google says)- phew! We are looking forward to seeing you guys again soon! Mahalo!

Gorgeous and bright, in the perfect location!

We just returned from a two-week stay in this beautiful home and are missing it so much! We highly recommend this rental for the follows reasons (in no particular order):

1). The unit was gorgeous, spacious and immaculate. It was infused with sunlight and had high ceilings, making it bright and airy. All of its amenities, such as the bathrooms and kitchen appliances, are new and modern. It was also spotless, which was very important to us because I have dust allergies and can smell mould and mustiness a mile away. I had nothing to worry about with this unit! We also had our ten-month old baby with us and we had no problem letting her explore every nook and cranny of the unit because it was so clean. It was also quiet, especially at night, which made for many peaceful sleeps.

2). Location. The unit was in the perfect location for us: in a quiet, safe and treed neighbourhood that was an easy ten-minute walk (pretty much a straight line) to beautiful Kailua Beach. We loved getting up every morning and ambling over to the beach for our morning swim. It was also a short walk to groceries stores, like Whole Foods and Safeway, and the shops and restaurants of central Kailua. That worked out well for us, because we were always able to quickly pop out to buy things like food for dinner or more sunscreen! We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location.

3). The owners. Kulia and Erik were such wonderful hosts. They were responsive, always available and incredibly thoughtful. For example, they knew we would be arriving in Oahu late at night after a long flight, so they stocked our fridge with a late night snack and some breakfast items to tide us over the next day until we could go grocery shopping. Kulia also found us a pack n play for our daughter so that we didn't have to lug our own along with us on our trip and even provided us with baby shampoo and soap. So thoughtful! Kulia and Erik also had us over for dinner on our last night in Hawaii so that we wouldn't have to worry about cooking while trying to pack and get to the airport. In the end, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

So to sum up, we had a fabulous time in Hawaii and that was in large part because we had such a beautiful and comfortable place to call home while we were there. Five stars, for sure!
