Local living at its best and easy access to all the attractions in the most walkable area of the Garden district and Uptown. This one bedroom, one bathroom condo with a pull out sleeper sofa (queen size). The unit boasts wall to wall granite floors, brand new furnishings, smart televisions in the bedroom and living room, a Bose wave blue tooth speaker for music streaming, luxury linens, and a washer/dryer. The kitchen has a stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and all the basics from glassware to bake ware. And true to its name, artwork from a local artist adorns the walls. The unit is gated with a private bricked patio to enjoy coffee and people watching.

Directly next-door is Hi-Volt that has some of the best coffee around as well as great breakfast fare with numerous options for vegans and raw vegans. Adjacent is Down the Hatch if you prefer a cold beer (hair of the dog) with your breakfast. They make a delicious Huevos Rancharos as well as some amazing Nachos. Café Roma is also adjacent if you are in need of a late night pizza. And those are just the options within 20 feet! Venture a few more blocks and you can enjoy District Donuts, Steins Deli, Juan's Flying Burrito, and Maya's Nuevo Latino. Keep walking and you will find another shop, restaurant or bar to enjoy.

This is your perfect home base to explore the city and enjoy all the parades and festivals. You will be only four blocks from St. Charles where the Mardi Gras Parades roll and the street car picks up and one block off Magazine if you join us for the Irish Parade.

About Lisa Stutz

Although we were not born here we fell in love with the city (and each other) in 2002 and decided to make this home. I am originally from Michigan and my husband is from Germany. I work in the luxury hotel industry and our shared passion outside of work is renovating homes. I thought that this condo would be a perfect home to share with those visiting our city. As a hospitality professional, I worked to put all the touches that would make sure you had everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. I live only a few miles away so I am easily accessible should you need anything during your visit.

Why Lisa Stutz chose New Orleans

Of all our properties, we chose this property to share with travelers because of the location. One of the great things about New Orleans is being able to walk to amazing venues with a cocktail in hand just outside your front door. Not to mention the parades! You are only 4 blocks from St. Charles for all the Mardi Gras parades and just steps from where the Irish Parade rolls on Magazine. With the street car and hop on/hop off bus just blocks away New Orleans is truly your oyster to enjoy. Unique to this condo is a private gated entrance just for your unit and a private patio. The open floor plan and modern feel made it a perfect home to display some of our favorite artwork and thus The Artist Loft was born. I know you will love it as much as we do.

What makes this condo unique

New Orleans is all about walking and outdoor living, which is why you will enjoy our location and outdoor patio. We also love the granite floors, built in cabinets, and walk in closet all of which make such a great use of space. We tried to think of all the things you might need during your stay for a perfect vacation from luggage racks and a hair dryer to a cocktail shaker and to-go cups. Rest assured you only need to bring your suitcase and toiletries to this vacation home!

Sofa Sleeper: Queen-sized sofa sleeper. Seriously the most comfortable ever. In addition, to a regular mattress there is an air mattress component. Once you pull it out, the electric pump fills the air mattress to provide a thick, comfortable sleeping surface.

Superb!

Conveniently located, spotlessly clean and a very accomdating owner. We were first time visitors to the Big Easy and we couldn't be more happy to have found this unit. Everything you need is there. Instructions for everything from internet access to using the coffee maker were very precise. Loads of reccomendations from the owner in the house manual for eateries, pubs etc. Beautiful home to stay in. Future guests won't be disappointed!

Great space in a great location!!

This clean and spacious 1 bedroom apartment had everything we needed for our long weekend stay: well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds & sheets and powerful AC! :) The Artist Loft is just around the corner from Magazine Street which has great shops and eateries. Our 4 year old son LOVED the streetcars, the Louisiana Children's Museum and District donuts, all very close to Lisa's condo.

Very Pleasant Stay

The Artist Loft was a wonderful home away from home for our five-day stay. I was in town for a conference, the suite is within walking distance to the convention centre, which gave me the opportunity to take different routes to appreciate the Garden District neighbourhood and St. Charles Uptown area. St. Charles streetcar was going-back-in-time experience.

The suite was clean, well equipped and colourfully decorated. Lisa was an attentive host who thought of all the small details. She was quick to answer emails and texts before and during the stay. All and all, 5/5!

Great property in fantastic location for exploring New Orleans!

What a clean inviting space to call home in the Big Easy Garden District. We found the location convenient to everything while enjoying exploring this safe and clean neighborhood with plenty of architecture, fun shops and eateries. I was traveling with three teenagers and it was perfect. Owner was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoy being located in the heart of the Garden District just a few steps from Magazine Street and only four blocks to St. Charles Street where the streetcar will take you straight to the French Quarter.

Magazine Street has is a perfect location for sightseeing, shopping or a pub crawl. With a large collection of restaurants to choose from you can sample the local fare from Po-Boys to James Beard Award winning restaurants all in walking distance.

A short stroll of 4 blocks will bring you to St. Charles Avenue to pick up the Street Car to the French Quarter, which is located only 2 miles from the home. You can spend the day shopping in antique shops, art Galleries, or enjoy a paddle boat ride on the Mississippi and of course, have a number of cocktails on Bourbon Street. Another option is to walk two blocks to the hop on/hop off bus pick up on Magazine which will provide transportation to various parts of the city combined with a tour.

This is local living where you take your roadie (to-go cup cocktail) and stroll through the Garden District taking in the amazing smells of gardenias and jasmine while enjoying the breathtaking architecture of the historic mansions. Every few steps there is a unique restaurant, definitely a bar, and always friendly and colorful locals to chat with. So come on down, make yourself at home and as we would say Laissez les bons temps rouler (Let the good times roll)!
