About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath with Creek

Secluded 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 2 story frame house with knotty pine siding throughout on 3 wooded acres with a small creek. Access to the home is via a very level gravel drive and no four wheel or all wheel drive is necessary. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed, dresser and walk-in closet. There's also an open concept kitchen living area plus a large 2nd story loft with a TV/DVD player for family movie or game night plus two twin beds for kids. The two bathrooms feature walk-in slate showers, double hammered copper sinks and a comfortable soaking tub upstairs with a view of the treetops. Outside you can enjoy a huge front deck, two fire pits, hammocks, charcoal grill and two dining areas. The property has NO Land Line Phone, Internet or Cable TV service (though many cell services work on property) so this is the spot to get away from it all.

Our home is located off of a quiet country road yet within 15 minutes of historic downtown Dahlonega offering many restaurant choices and close to 7 beautiful wineries (Wolf Mountain - 9 Min; Cavendar Creek - 11 Min; Frogtown - 15 Min; Three Sisters- 15 Min; Kaya - 15 Min.; The Cottage -18 Min & Montaluce - 20 Min). We are also very close to popular wedding venues (Juliette Chapel - 22 Min; White Oaks Barn - 6 Min & Castle - 12 Min), gold/gem mines, waterfalls, hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail), fishing areas, and many popular scenic bicycle/ motorcycle roads (East Coast heaven). Motorcyclists: Very close to SR 60, SR 180, Richard Russell, several local twisty loops & a few hours ride from Deals Gap & Cherohala Skyway.

Perfect Place for Us!

  • 5 of 5

We had everything we needed at the cabin. It was also the perfect place for us to stay for our wedding week, and was really close to town and to local wineries where we had events planned. Patty was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this VRBO!

Great cabin to get snowed in with!

  • 5 of 5

We didn't get to enjoy the wineries as planned with the snow storm that blew in but we still had a blast. The roads were safe to drive on and we were able to enjoy a relaxing weekend with friends. Great memories were made:) the house is beautiful and close to everything:)

Perfectly Secluded and Wonderfully Accommodating

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED everything about this place! My wife and I took our 3 children here to celebrate an early Christmas. There was PLENTY of room for the 5 of us with no issues. The moment we pulled up we knew it was perfect! Was nestled about 1/2" mile off the main road (which was rarely traveled). First pulling in, we encountered a nicely done gravel drive. The house is so well hidden you don't see it until you pull right up, which is exactly what we wanted. Off the front deck (which is HUGE) is the horse shoe pit, a little further off is a nice fire pit with brand new wooden arm chairs and a few rustic benches just as seen in the pictures. As you walk inside you will immediately notice the gorgeous heart pine floors and wide open floor plan. It was very cozy, clean and had the wonderful smell of sweet pine. Everything about the place made us feel welcomed and right at home. We felt as if we were a welcomed guest in someones home... which I guess we were :-)

My favorite thing about the whole place, the master bath/ shower! I love slate showers! Was nice to be able to look out the glass enclosure into the forest while showering.

There are so many great things to be said about this place that I cannot name them all here, just come and experience for yourself!

Really nice and comfortable.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much. Thoughtful items were here such as plastic wrap and basic spices. Large gathering room that accommodated our large family games. Peaceful surroundings. A nice place where we could stay again.

Peaceful and close to the sites!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with another couple at Patty's cabin over the weekend and loved it. It was the perfect weekend escape. The cabin itself is very private as it's a bit off the road but still VERY close to a nearby Walmart, Gold Mines, and only about 15-18 minutes away from the square in Dahlonega. We spent most of our time at the cabin as there is a nice grill in the back and a big firepit in the front. Would definitely recommend this for any family / group give away where everyone wants a place to get away while still having an opportunity to go into town if they want!

Patty is also extremely fast with her replies and instructions!

Just a Reminder that we are a get away from it all setting with NO WiFi or Cable. This is not the place to spend time looking at screens. Our property is in the forest and Verizon and AT&T cell service is quite good but we've been told T-Mobile and Sprint service is spotty at best. May need to drive about 5 minutes closer to town to get better service with some providers.
