Escape to a space that feels like home, only better! Perched on 17 acres of lush lawn and with 400 feet of lakefront property right on the majestic Lake Champlain right in the backyard, this spacious home boasts scenic views of the water from almost every room. In addition to four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, there's a studio space above the garage for more privacy.
Roomy enough for a few families to enjoy a lakeside getaway, but secluded and intimate enough for a romantic couples retreat, this home on the idyllic North Hero is perfect for those who don't want to venture too far to enjoy the island's natural splendor.
Prepare home-cooked meals in the charming and fully stocked kitchen. Nearby, a formal dining table awaits by a large window, which overlooks the backyard and lake.
The living room is cozy and inviting. Brightly illuminated by a large bay window, this space features a handsome stone fireplace next to the TV, complete with a DVD player and cable. Guests can stay connected during their stay with complimentary wireless Internet access.
Three full bedrooms - one with a queen bed, another with a full bed, and a third with two twin beds - all boast stunning lake views. A finished basement also has a guest room with a queen bed. In all, 14 guests will sleep comfortably here.
Out back on the spacious deck, guests can recline on Adirondack chairs while kids play on the lush lawn. A picnic table and gas grill set the scene for outdoor dinners on warm nights.
Further accommodations include three full bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and a private sauna, where mainland worries and stresses dissipate with the misty steam!
Over the garage, the separate studio has two twin beds and two full-size beds, so up to six more guests can enjoy a little extra privacy while still staying close to all the action in the main house.
Explore the beauty of this lovely island by foot or bike. 400 acres of pristinely preserved flora and fauna await in North Hero State Park. Plan a day trip to the mainland for unique shopping and dining in the eclectic lakeside town of Burlington.
Secluded and serene, this lovely Home Away from Home has ample space to host your next family gathering or romantic retreat! With Lake Champlain beckoning from the backyard, you won't have to venture far to enjoy the bounty of natural beauty on the idyllic island of North Hero!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This was a great experience. The house was wonderful, the process for everything was smooth sailing. Would LOVE to come back and stay again in the future.
This is a beautiful home on the east side of North Hero, spectacular sunrises if you're an early riser. Home is beautifully decorated with plenty of room to spread out. We had 7 people in the main house and 4 girls in the bunkhouse over the garage. (Caveat - no bathroom in the garage so the girls had to use the (gorgeous!!) one in the main house.). Master bedroom on main floor is really nice, private bath, screened in porch, huge kitchen. Game room downstairs is great! We had my brothers who live in VT come for the day with their families for our annual reunion and we had lots of room to have our meals and our celebrations.
Downside: lack of lighting on the rocky front walkway and also on the back deck. Upstairs bedroom with double bed, VERY hard and uncomfortable! (Have mentioned this to owners - suggested they replace with Queen bed similar to the one we had in the first floor). Also - no bathroom in bunkhouse and only overhead lights, no lamps, over there. Be sure to bring kayaks or boats to enjoy the water.
Overall all, very clean, beautiful surroundings, nice spread out feeling to the property.
