About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

A Great Secluded Woodsy Cabin by the River
Overall our stay here was great! The hot tub is nice and tucked away with beautiful views of rivers and it was very well maintained.
The kitchen does have everything you’d need to cook a good meal, and the stocked laundry room came in handy.
Our only complaints follow those of others before us. The fireplace seems to have a problem venting/pulling the smoke out. While the place didn’t fill with smoke (at first), over time we noticed the accumulation of smoke in the living room. This made for some sinus issues/headaches in the mornings and we had to air it out a bit.
The only other complaints: the furniture is well loved, but could be much more comfortable. It’s that weird leather recliner sofas with bars in between them. Lastly, the water has a strange sulfur (fart-esque) smell.
Overall, it was a great little cabin and we will come back for sure. It’s going to be especially fun in the summer time!
Fantastic weekend getaway!
Had an absolutely wonderful time at this property. It poured down rain most of the time which was perfect weather for having a fire going the whole day and mixing in trips to the hot tub overlooking the Sandy River. Stunningly beautiful!
Perfect getaway! Great way to disconnect and not far from home.
Daughter's birthday trip
We had such a great time at Hunters Haven. It is only 30 miles from our house but a world away. The beds were comfortable and it was cozy. You might need to clean the chimney as when a larger fire is built smoke starts to fill the room. We loved our stay and hopefully will be back in May for my birthday.
Great cabin, but very Smokey fireplace
We had a fantastic time at this cabin! Everything was perfect except for the fact that the fireplace flew needs to be cleaned out! Every time we had a fire, the cabin got extremy Smokey.... and yes, the flew was open. We found if we turned the heater and it’s fan off while having a fire that the smoke wasn’t quite as bad, but it was still bothersome. Anyone with sensitive lungs shouldn’t stay here until they clean the flew. Otherwise, great cabin, clean and hot hot tub, comfy beds, etc!
A nice surprise
Finding the property in the dark was a challenge. I suggest arriving before sunset if possible. Not much wow factor from the outside, but entering the great room gave a nice lodge feel that was not expected from the exterior. A nice fire in the fireplace finished off the effect for us! We enjoyed our stay.
