A large outdoor fire pit is perfect for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. The cabin is located on the north end of Madeline Island, about 8 miles from La Pointe. About Jon and Judi Sowl
We met on Madeline Island the summer of 1980. Judi grew up here and met Jon when he spent the summer here working. We were married on the island 4 years later and have spent many summers and vacation time here. Our three grown children have many wonderful memories of times spent at the cabin. We both have family on the island and in Bayfield. We now live in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and visit the island as often as we can.

CLEAN QUIET place on interesting island in Lake Superior.
PEACEFUL, QUIET LOCATION, 8 MILES from only village on the island. VERY CLEAN Cottage home, NOT A CABIN. Fully equipped as described; Comfortable Queen bed. Everything is as described & seen in the many photos provided by owners. Loved the screened-in porch. Nature watching on site. Enjoyed big yard and outdoor private shower (+regular stall shower & bathroom indoors). Many outdoor recreational opportunities. Friendly owners.YES Wi-Fi. No CELL PHONE SERVICE (Verizon), but YES some incoming texts on property at times. Landline for incoming calls & outgoing calls w calling card. We stayed 5 weeks. YES we'd stay there again.
Comfortable, peaceful cabin with a lovely screened porch
This cabin provides all that is necessary to enjoy a stay on Madeline Island. It isn't luxurious but it is comfortable and has a great porch and ouside shower. Plenty of kitchen utensils as well as puzzles and games. The grill and outdoor fireplace are also nice assets and the fact that the cabin doesn't lie on the main road is really great-it is so wonderfully quiet. We had a lovely time biking and hanging out. The only possible thing missing is access to the lake, but the town park is not far.
The description given to us was accurate and the property is clean and well-maintained. Customer service was great we would recommend this property to anyone.
Great cabin, it was as advertised
Ideal family cabin, very roomy inside; deck and screened in porch great for mealtime and evenings. Very private setting.
Private Nice Cabin
Property is nestled about 2 miles from Town Park. View of the lake from the nice deck at the cabin. Large yard and very wooded property. Huge screen porch and an awesome outdoor shower. A very nice Cabin getaway spot.
Perfect Cabin for a Madeline Island Stay
This cabin had everything we needed to stay on Madeline Island for a week. Our family of 3 plus a dog fit perfectly well. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, the perfect campfire set up, the outdoor shower, and the peaceful lot with a view of the lake. The home and yard have a lot of good vibes and you can tell many positive memories have been made right there with family and friends. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked and accessorized with just the right things you will need. Lovely place! Can't wait to visit again!
Madeline island getaway
very nice. Close enough town. Secluded enough for outdoor showers to work.
Very cozy, felt like I was staying at a relatives house. Hope to be back one day.
Our cabin is about 8 miles from the village of La Pointe. There are 2 small groceries stores, several restaurants, and gift shops in the village.
