The property was clean and beautifully decorated we enjoyed our stay.

The property has a 3bdrm 2 1/2 bath upstairs and a 3bdrm 1 bath downstairs. We rented both units. Both units have pool tables, which is a plus. It is secure and in a good neighborhood. Every night there's a firework show that you can clearly see at the end of the driveway. Close drive to beach access or you can walk down the street to an access. We enjoyed our stay and plan to rebook. Mr McCarty is a very pleasant person to speak with. Thank you.

Beautiful, clean, very well maintained and setup just like being at home!!

We absolutely loved our experience and our stay. The owners had great communication, very fast communication. The property was in a great location, very roomy, very homey and we will absolutely stay there again. We would recommend this to anybody.

Not as advertised

This property is portrayed as a well equipped beach house, but it's really an ill equipped duplex with one apartment down and one up. There is only one bathroom in each apartment so if you utilize all of the sleeping facilities you will overwhelm the 1 bathroom. There is nowhere to sit comfortably outside (porch/patio) and there were no facilities to cook outside. The kitchen was also ill equipped for anything more than coffee and sandwiches. Tree roaches were everywhere inside and out. As a final frustration, the thermostat was programmed to turn off at 4am every morning so we woke up sweltering each day.

Owner's Response: I regret that this guest did not enjoy his stay. While it is true that this unit only has 1 bathroom, it is clearly pointed out in the description of the property. I am sorry he missed that. Because of the 1 bathroom, it is priced lower than the La Quinta where you only get a simple motel room. The upstairs does have 2 full and 1 half bath, so perhaps it is a better option for some (property number 706946). The kitchen is equipped with service for 12 guests, but is not a gourmet kitchen (another review stated "The kitchen was nice and updated. There were good quality dishes. Bring your own spices and more complicated cooking utensils, like a wine bottle opener"). My wife and I don't drink wine, so we didn't even think about this when we furnished the home. For the downstairs unit, there is no outside seating, unless you have lawn chairs, which would be a good suggestion to bring, so you can sit outside and watch the fireworks display. The upstairs unit, however, has two balconies for outside seating. We have tried to determine how/where to put a grill outside, but can't figure out how to secure it...we will work on that one. The "tree roach" issue really pains me and I truly regret that...I hate them too! Being a tropical environment, those pests are prevalent and regrettably will sometimes get inside. We have had the home fumigated to deal with this issue. We have state of the art Nest thermostats that are fully controllable by the guests, so feel free to program them to your liking. A note to future guests, I provide my personal cell phone and respond quickly to any issues you may have (as I did in this case). I have a maintenance person on the island who has always been very responsive to my guests needs. This unit is a great value for those who have a motel budget, but want to stay in a 3 BR home with full kitchen, laundry room, wifi, granite, SS appliances, etc. You get soooo much more than a motel room for the price!

Very good option

This is a ground unit condo.

The location is good. Although it's not on the beach, it is two blocks from Louie's Backyard on the Laguna side and one block from the beach on the Gulf side. IGA is about 2 1/2 blocks away. Everything is within walking distance.

The space was good. We had four adults and two kids. The master bedroom is very large. The two guest bedrooms are small. One has a bunk bed, which my kids loved. The other bedroom was a little cramped. The headboards bang against the wall. The linens were nice.

The condo has one bathroom. It'd be better to have two.

Couldn't figure out the TV set up, but it looks like it should have had Netflix, etc. The living area was spacious. The pool table might be good for people who like pool. For us, it was in the way.

The kitchen was nice and updated. There were good quality dishes. Bring your own spices and more complicated cooking utensils, like a wine bottle opener.

It also has a washer and dryer but bring your own detergent.

I give it 4 stars because: 1. not on the beach; 2. only one bathroom; 3. can be noisy if there are people in the condo upstairs (sounded like we were hearing people drop pool balls all night); 4. there were a couple of cockroaches; 5. the restaurant down the street was setting off firecrackers every night, keeping our kids up.

Still, this was way better than staying in a hotel. I could stay here again.

Amazing, spacious condo in perfect location

This is the ground unit condo. It's walking distance from everything crucial (food, beach, nightlife, etc.) Not to mention just a few blocks from Louie's Backyard (our favorite). It was nice not having to pay for cabs or parking the whole trip. There was definitely enough bed space. It was neat and clean, but we did have to provide our own toilet paper/hand soap/paper towels/etc so keep that in mind! Great place for a vacation to SPI. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be keeping this location in mind for any future trips to the island
