About Ruth Brocko

Long-time residents of Colorado, John and Ruth both attended university in Boulder and met through friends after completing degrees in engineering and geology. Work keeps us in the Denver area much of the time, but retreating to the mountains is always appealing.

Ruth Brocko purchased this condo in 2014

Why Ruth Brocko chose Northwest

Skiing has been a major part of John's life and now plays a big role for all of us with both children taking ski lessons. We can ski all day or stop over for a few runs and still have time to do other activities. We enjoy the summer weather during hikes and biking around Summit County. Summer festivals, music at the Frisco amphitheater, and time with friends fill the days we spend in Keystone.

What makes this condo unique

We love that a hiking trail is just steps away. It is convenient to Keystone's base area, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. Information on Keystone Festivals available: http://www.keystonefestivals.com/

Great location to ski Keystone within minutes or a short drive to other summit county resorts. LOVED the heated bath floors 😀

We loved the condo!

  • 5 of 5

Very close to Keystone mountains and town.

We have 3 kids and it was enough room for us.

My kids loved the heated floor in the bathrooms.

Great Place, Great Time

  • 5 of 5

This is a good place to stay. It is a nicely appointed property, a nice kitchen with pots, pans, seasonings. It is no more than 2-3 miles from Keystone Ski are and right off the major road into the resort area. The place is clean and very well taken care of... there are two bedrooms, one with a queen and another with a full/bunk bed setup.

The place is smaller than some but very comfortable. We were three adults and did fine. It would be great with parents and two kids. Four adults could work but might be a bit close.

Ruth was available and great to work with. We used the hot tub three times on our March ski trip. It is nearby the condo and the water was genuinely hot! (Which I like.)

I'd recommend this place to friends and will likely visit Antler Gulch again. If you are in the area get a pizza and Jersey Pizza and breakfast at Mountain Lyon Cafe.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you had everything you needed. Jersey Boys' Pizza in Dillon is awesome and the Mountain Lyon in Silverthorne is one of my favorites! Next time, the Sunshine Cafe (near the Silverthorne/Dillon border) is another of my favorites for breakfast or lunch. Red Buffalo Coffee Shop in Silverthorne is a great place to stop on the way to or from the Ranger Station (if you need/want trail maps or information for hiking or snowshoeing adventures). Our place is smaller than some, but we try to keep clutter to a minimum so the people have more room. Thanks so much for alerting us to the light that was out and the sticking lock on the ski locker - they've both been fixed. :-)

Great stay for Presidents Day

  • 5 of 5

Condo is very clean and well appointed for a smaller unit. Fireplace is nice in the evenings and the kitchen was very well equipped. Quiet location except for the snow plow truck in the morning- due to some welcome fresh snow the night before! Two bathrooms were great for our group. Close to Keystone. Only issue we had is the master bedroom bed is very firm, which we're not really used to, and blankets were a little thin for my taste. A mattress topper and nice down comforter would be aces! Owner was responsive and considerate. Would stay here again

Owner's Response: I'm glad your trip was a success! Thank you for the constructive suggestions. I'll definitely get a topper for the mattress and have extra warm blankets available so each guest can be comfortable.

Excellent Trip

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic trip. The accommodations were as advertised and the location was easy. Quick 1.5 mile drive up the rode and you are at the slopes in Keystone. Ruth went out of her way to return a phone charger we left within 1 day of the trip. We will be looking to return next year...

Owner's Response: We are glad your trip was a success! I hate losing track of my charger, so I notice when someone leaves theirs.
