Cabane en rondins historique au pays des chevaux!

Notre chalet en bois rond a Ă©tĂ© entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© et est situĂ© Ă  environ 30 minutes de Lexington, KY, juste Ă  l'extĂ©rieur de Paris, KY dans le comtĂ© de Bourbon. La cabane se trouve sur Stoner Creek, au cƓur d'un pays pur-sang. Il a Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ© dans des magazines et Ă  la tĂ©lĂ©vision.

Notre chalet se trouve sur les rives de Stoner Creek (qui est une petite riviĂšre). Il est idĂ©al pour le canoĂ«, la randonnĂ©e, la pĂȘche et l'Ă©quitation. Une belle vĂ©randa grillagĂ©e vous attend pour dĂ©guster un cafĂ© le matin tout en profitant du ruissellement de la maison de printemps et des sons de la nature. La cheminĂ©e en pierre est parfaite pour se rĂ©chauffer aprĂšs une journĂ©e passĂ©e Ă  profiter de la propriĂ©tĂ©.

Memorable in the best of ways! A piece of heaven on earth. Beautiful rolling meadows, a winding creek at your doorstep, and the cabin-in-the-woods you dream about. Oh and sheep, a llama, and herds of horses (September) to watch and take in. Chet, Diane, and AJ are the perfect hosts with special touches throughout your stay. We WILL be back.

Awesome Cabin!

This lovely log cabin/cottage was better than advertised. Cozy, quaint, attention to detail, rustic but modern amenities, turn table, wood for fireplace, kayaks, hosts are great, complimentary wine, views fantastic, cool animals and grounds, location is great to horse country and much more.

Just Peace

This is one of my very favorite cabins I have every stayed in. It was so beautifully decorated and had everything I needed. Chet and the farm manager went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. The farm was so peaceful. My favorite was that amazing back porch; but, I also loved sitting by the creek and watching the sun rise, visiting the animals and late night bonfires. There are other amazing farms minutes away to tour, and the Ark Encounter is only an hour drive. Paris, Kentucky is a quaint little town. I do wish they had more restaurants to visit. I would definitely love to return!!!

Very Relaxing

We were looking for a nice quiet weekend getaway and this place is perfect. Loved the area, my wife got to pet horses, what more could you ask? The record player and record selection was a nice touch.

Wonderful in every way

If you are reading these reviews for The Cabin and debating to stay - depress submit. Whatever your intentions for a getaway, this is certainly the place to relax, unwind, enjoy a most comfortable atmosphere or go out and about in horse and bourbon country. Chett and his manager, Robert, were very attentive prior to and during our arrival. Make the getaway what you want: enjoying the peace and solitude of the cabin or taking in the beautiful horse country and various farm tours. We look forward to our next visit- hopefully in the fall. Another World

Chet welcomed me to the world of Kentucky and horses in his historic log cabin. Cold nights were the perfect temperature for sitting by the fireplace and enjoying the quiet and dark of rural Kentucky. With little knowledge of horses, Chet arranged a magnificent tour of a local farm that gave me a glimpse into another world! His home is the perfect setting to explore the region.

***Absolutely stunning***

I can’t say enough about this place. We will definitely be back. The views are amazing! It’s like a little bit of Ireland in Kentucky. We went to the Kentucky Horse Park and Whispering Woods for some horseback riding. I think my favorite part was being able to roam the property and be in the fields with the horses. I can’t forget about our greeter, The Llama! Believe his name is Dr. Peoper. Chet and Robert were amazing hosts!!! Kept in contact with us during our stay for all of our needs. Thanks for such an amazing visit! This property truly is heaven.

Weekend Respite

I hesitate to write this review as I would like to keep this gem all to myself. If you are in need of unplugging and getting quiet, this is the place. Only 40 minutes outside of Lexington but a world apart. Darling cabin next to an almost river(you'll need to ask Robert, the caretaker, if you won't to know moređŸ€—. Horses, sheep, and a llama to visit with. Actual wood burning fireplace!! Plus all the modern conveniences! WiFi not the best but then I didn't go to stay connected. Needless to say, I highly recommend!!

Tranquility at its best!

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in a gorgeous setting, this is the cabin for you. We had a short stay over New Year's Eve. The cabin is beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The sunrises/sunsets are postcard worthy. Sitting on the porch listening to nature and the quietness was very relaxing. We spent a couple nights by the warmth of the fire as well. Chet is very welcoming and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities in the area. We can't wait to go back in the spring/summer when everything is green.

Lexington / Paris KY Country Cabin

I had another fabulous few days at Augustus Hill. The cabin has everything that you need to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty of horse country. Sitting on the back porch looking out on the river - rain or shine - is one of my favorite places. Chet and Diane have created a wonderful place to escape. Breathtakingly Idyllic

It there is a heaven on earth, it’s Augustus Hill Farm. We celebrated our 20th anniversary at the cabin. We walked, kayaked, read by the creek, listened to vinyl by the fire, watched each sunset, and breathed deeply. We talked, laughed, reminisced, pondered, and made plans for the the next 20! Beautiful farm and very unique log cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the log cabin! Chet was very engaging and informative. The log cabin was very unique which we really enjoyed. It was also cozy and very comfortable and really had anything we needed. The area that it is in is so beautiful, and the leaves were starting to turn. We would definitely book this gem again
