About Stacie

My husband and I moved to Beaufort after 30 plus years living in the Hamptons. We were looking for a slower pace of life and fell in love with the area. We bought our historic home with guest cottage as well as several other pieces of property in the area. We love our 2 dogs and rescue cats and enjoy leisurely strolls up to Front Street to catch glimpses of the wild horses grazing and the dolphin frolicking in the water.

Stacie purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Stacie chose Beaufort

We love our neighborhood and the quiet, friendly neighbors. Porch life is a southern tradition which we have fallen in love with! The large, fenced in back yard is perfect for our pets and has been fun to landscape with shade and sun loving plants. Our raised vegie gardens are a new addition and we encourage guests to help themselves to fresh basil, parsley and our tomatoes when ripe.

What makes this cottage unique

We are 1.5 blocks from the water! To the left is a community dock with easy access to the water. To the right is the bustle of Front Street shops and restaurants. If you are lucky, wild horses will be grazing early mornings or just before dark... often pods of dolphin swim along the shoreline as well.

Great relaxing and peaceful spot for a couple with dogs

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a week during the Big Rock Bkue Marlin Fishing Tournament, in which he was fishing and found it ideally located and very comfortable for the two of us and our two dogs. The fenced in and lovely landscapes yard is spacious and the table and chairs and umbrella provided enabled me to spend time reading in the garden whilst the dogs played. The decor and furnishings were lovely and the incredible library of books in the cottage provided a never ending supply of great reading! I also particularly enjoyed the very spacious and private outdoor shower. The cottage is located in the heart of old town, and just two blocks from the waterfront. A short half block stroll down the river path leads one to the town public dock and small boat launch that we used to exercise our retriever and to enjoy the lovely view of carrot island and the feral horses. It is also ideal to launch a paddle board or kayak. I can’t really think of any drtractions from the cottage .. it is just as described. And the owner, Stacy, was very helpful and friendly.

The trip was great but cottage needs some upgrades.

  • 3 of 5

It needs some repairs. The front door has a hole in the corner and I was afraid that something might crawl in! A few upgrades might be important to others, especially the bathroom. Otherwise it was fine and linens were pretty

Real nice, loved the cottage and owner Stacie. I rate it a 4 because we were two single adults sleeping separately and the sofa bed is comfortable but not as good as a regular bed for an adult staying multiple nights. The Internet was somewhat weak and one bike needed repair. But the well appointed cottage is a lovely vantage point from which to experience Beaufort, I would return.

Owner's Response: We also enjoyed having you visit! Most of our guests are couples as we make note of one queen bed and a fold out new sleeper sofa. We make every effort to make the sleeper sofa as comfy as possible... :) As to the bicycle, they are brand new and due to rough treatment from a previous guest, the air was low and an issue with the tire. My neighbor immediately came over when the guest mentioned it and the issue was taken care of within minutes...

:Perfect Beaufort Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

This quaint little cottage is located in Downtown Beaufort. It's close enough to have everything you need in walking distance, yet secluded enough to be quiet. One bedroom, one bath, a small kitchen and living area - it's all you need. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and even includes a delightful outdoor shower. We'd recommend this little gem and stay here again.
