This place was amazing. Great location, walking distance to the ocean, and an overall great house. Our multi-families definitely enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future.

We agree that two families can enjoy comfortable accommodations in our home! Four bedrooms, all with their own bathroom, provides comfort and privacy for all. Three outdoor decks allow guests to spread out and enjoy the outdoors as well. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

The host was super friendly and helpful. This house was perfect for my small family and in-laws. However there were some issues that effected our experience. But overall we had a good time.

First time at Cape Hatteras - It's an amazing place. We had a great time!

The property was well kept and had most of the things we needed (appliance wise and beach wise).

Relaxing and Fun OBX Experience

We enjoyed a very fun and relaxing beach vacation at Marooned in the Outer Banks. The walk to the beach was easy and quick, the neighborhood was pretty and quiet, and the star gazing was delightful!

60th Birthday Vacation

Spent my 60th b-day at this wonderful home in Avon! House was stocked with everything we needed. Clean and only a few blocks to beach and pool. Would stay here again!

We had a great stay at marooned! Conveniently located to everything you need! The pool is very nice to have access to. Plus the four bathrooms makes it even better!

2023 Family Vacation

Amazing place

You won’t be disappointed everything about our stay was great. Close to beach and pool. Everything we needed was provided. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Avon our first time. We’ll definitely be back.

Great house for a family vacation!

The house was perfect - enough private space if you need it, a great gathering space for all to cook and play games! House is close to the grocery store and anything you might need. Nice decking on the house as well to watch beautiful sunsets.

Total relaxation at Marooned

The Marooned was an excellent choice for our family reunion of three generations. The cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location all added up a to superb week at OBX. Marilyn was an terrific host, with quick responses to all our questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to OBX!

Fun at the beach!

Our stay at Marooned was fabulous. We had great weather and the house was very accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. We really enjoyed the decks and the short walk to the pool and beach. The communication with the host was easy and she responded very timely. I would stay here again.

Absolutely amazing place. First time renting a VRBO on my own and didn't really know what to expect. The house has a classy beach theme with up to date appliances throughout. Washer and dryer, jacuzzi bath tub, TVs in every room, balconies for days....I really can't say enough good things. Walking distance to the beach, pickle ball and the pool. On-site Boogie Boards, beach chairs and a sun umbrella made beach trips an blast for the whole family. The house is around the corner from the grocery store, pier, duck donuts...the full Avon experience. Last but not least the owner, Marilyn, an absolute gem. She's a pro and had answers to my questions before I even asked. The whole experience left me feeling like my mom had let me use her house for the week. 5 stars all the way all day. Thank you so much for a great vacation!!!!

First visit to OBX

This was a great place to stay for an extended family vacation. There was enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities and the large fridge was great for our needs. The beach and pool are each about a 5 min walk which was also great. Overall I would definitely recommend this home for a nice family getaway.

Thanks so much for your kind review! The refrigerator was just purchased this summer and we decided to get the French doors so guest would have lots of spaces for trays or pizza and other wide items. I’m glad you enjoyed that extra space! Keep us in mind for your next beach trip!

Avon Vacation

This house exceeded all my expectations. Our week here was everything that I could have wished for. The owner was a delight to deal with and her home is beautiful maintained and contains all the comforts of home. Would definitely love to return someday.

Best vacation ever!

We had the BEST time at Marooned! The house was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated and just felt like home to us! Being close to the grocery store, and many beautiful beaches (our favorites were the Lighthouse Beach and Frisco Beach), was great! We didn't want to leave! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Summer Vacation

The house was perfect for 5 teens + parents. Everyone had a bed and bathroom. The decks were great and hammock was a nice touch as well. The homeowners were great to work with and very responsive. The location to the beach was great - 5 minute walk. It was nice to have the community pool as well.

This property is very comfortable and well equipped.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in a beautiful and comfortable home. The owners have thought of everything! My 3 generations of family had an amazing week and hope to return one day. The community pool had plenty of seating and tables in the shade. I hope your family will enjoy your stay as much as we did. Best Beach House Rental!!!

Marooned was, by far, the best house we have rented. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years and this rental was the nicest and most accommodating house ever. We had 2 families stay and it was more than enough space for all of us. The furnishings were amazing. It was very clean and was fully stocked! Working with the owners were fantastic, they checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this house.
