Close To The Lake - 5th Cleanest and Clearest Lake, study by University of MN

Beautiful privately owned lake cabin on 800 acre lake, good walleye fishing, swimming, skiing, tubing etc. This cabin is set on a 1 acre lot which allows for a more private setting, outdoor activities, bonfires and relaxation. WiFi included! Newly renovated bathrooms - full sized bathrooms, a master bath suite and second full bath off the hallway. The kitchen has been upgraded with all of the kitchen accessories needed to stay in and cook. New beds, linens and bath and beach towels. A 60' dock with 2 boat lifts, a Kayak and a paddleboard- all included.

You will see all kinds of wildlife including eagles perched above the cabin in the white pines. The view from the living room is spectacular through 3 - 70" windows, just 25 feet from the shore.

We are perfectly located between Walker and Park Rapids that allow everything from good restaurants, antiquing, shopping, fishing excursions etc - you can enjoy a variety of experiences.

The Heartland State Trail is right around the corner and wonderful for walking and biking,. Bike rentals are available locally.

It is a quiet setting with easy access to the city of Akeley, Park Rapids and Walker, MN.

Excellent Cabin experience, and excellent host

We had an amazing lake cabin experience. It was everything we had hoped for. We would definitely stay here again. Jon was a great host. The views of the lake with those nice big livingroom windows was perfect and the deck was perfect too. We loved the paddle boat. Such a relaxing time.

Awesome !!!!

The cabin and its property were absolutely perfect. Very roomy and comfortable for us-4 adults. The yard was great for relaxing, and the fire pit was great. But the view--STUNNING!!!! We did ride side x side's...there is access to miles of trails right off the driveway.

Up north at its best.

The week was wonderful. Weather could not have been any better. This was our 4th year staying there. Enjoy it more every time we go. Very easy to communicate with Jon. Lots of amenities. Can’t wait to go again.

Wonderful & Relaxing

We came back for a week in July 2024 after enjoying Jon's cabin on the lake for a week in July 2023. Jon is a great host, and the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay! We brought our boat and when we weren't fishing, relaxed on the deck at the patio table with umbrella. Caught some bass, big sunfish & walleye. For those with children, swimming off the dock is probably not feasible because it was somewhat weedy if you're looking for that, but we are both in our 70's I had no plans to do that anyway. Was sorry to leave!

Excellent cabin, right on the water

This cabin is very clean, and well maintained, we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s bigger than it appears in the pictures, and the second bathroom is a nice addition. The dock is excellent, I didn’t care for the weeds, but that was my only dislike. There are 2 boat lifts and I loved using the paddle board (it’s a nice one). The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. We have stayed many places and this one is a great find!

Nice Getaway

We stayed here for a week. We were 4 wheeling with friend, who were staying at a nearby campground. This place was extremely clean. Was nice having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well supplied. The only thing that I would recommend would be a crockpot and maybe a covered garbage can outside. It was extremely quiet and very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Week up north

This was our first VRBO experience and we were very pleased. The cabin was very clean and accommodated the needs of our family. It was welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed using the fire pit, the paddle boat and paddle board.The lake was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely think of coming again.

Another wonderful week

This is our 3rd time staying here. That in itself should say how great this place is. The cabin was clean as usual and Jon is a great host. Any questions we have, always right there to answer. Already looking forward to staying next year.

Best week ever!

Everything was perfect -- the cabin, the location, and the view of the lake. We were there to fish and relax. The walleyes were elusive, but we caught some monster large mouth bass and good-sized sunfish. We were there the week of July 4th, so also enjoyed fabulous fireworks on the lake two nights. Jon (the host) was very helpful, especially when we couldn't find the public access to launch our boat (poor DNR signage). We will be back!

11th Crow Wing Lake

Very nice and clean cabin that sits right on the water. Host is very helpful if you need anything at all. Beds were very comfortable and was nice to have two up to date bathrooms. We had a great week of fishing and dock was very nice. Only drawback is the truck traffic all night.

Immaculate comfortable lake cabin

The cabin is immaculate and comfortable, appliances all new and efficient. Everything you might need for cooking is there. Centrally located, close to Walker and Park Rapids. It’s not a secluded cabin, but Itasca State Park isn’t far away for fine hiking and biking, and the Eleventh Crow Wing lake is pleasant for kayaking. We REALLY enjoyed our week. Cabin owner is VERY responsive to questions. Thanks, Jon!

A week at the lake

Everything went very well from booking to checking out. It was a very clean and well kept property. It was nice to be able to use the boat lift, we were on the lake everyday, fishing and swimming. It's a very clean lake and not much boat traffic during the week

Perfect getaway

Beautiful lakeside property. We had everything we needed for a wonderful week of family time. The kitchen is fully stocked with great cookware & utensils to cook full meals. Great Get Away

The cabin was beautiful. It was spacious, clean, and well maintained. It sits right on the lake which was wonderful to wake up to each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect lake getaway

Absolutely perfect place for a quiet week at the lake. The cabin is immaculate and very well appointed. Big picture windows with screens allowed us to enjoy wonderful breezes off the lake. Extremely well maintained. Kayak and paddle boat were fun (SUP also there but we never used it). Thanks for an awesome week!

More than we expected!

This cabin is absolutely wonderful! We could not have asked for anything better. We had always stayed at cabins where we had to clean before we left. This was a wonderful thing not to do. Also they supplied the bedding and the towels, which made that great as well. The dishwasher and the washer and dryer were huge! I didn’t have to come home and do hours worth of laundry because I finished it up all up there. Having a boatlift was some thing we’ve never had when we rented other places and my husband absolutely loved that. The only thing We were kind of nervous about was not having air conditioning. We had had that elsewhere. But the trees around the cabin, kept it shaded. Still had some warm days, but it was manageable. Plus they had fans in every room which helped tremendously. 5 stars for sure!

Perfect Up North Getaway

Stayed here for a week in July 2021. Cabin was in perfect condition, very clean, really well done - newer appliances, washer/dryer, clean comfortable couches, chairs and beds. Truly couldn't have found a better spot for the money. My kids - ages 10 and 14 loved the lake, caught plenty of panfish and were so happy to be so close to the water! The dock was good, it is weedy however we still had fun floating on blow ups and swimming off the boat. Owner was great at communicating before, during and after. If you're looking for a to relax with a couple of kids, you won't be disappointed here! Highly recommend.

Fun with grandkids

The cabin has a great view of 11th Crow Wing Lake being close to the waters edge. The owner went above and beyond helping us cool the cabin in an unexpected heatwave and we were comfortable. The cabin and the area had everything that we needed and more to keep our grandchildren ages 11 and 12 entertained and having fun. The fishing was slow with the unexpected June heatwave but we did catch some fish and we had great family fun!

Amazing place to make memories!

The cabin is clean and cozy with everything you need to have a great vacation. Lake accessibility from the back door is a huge plus! Having a back deck with outdoor seating was especially nice as it allowed us to easily supervise the kids while they splashed in the lake. Having a washer and dryer onsite was also a great addition since, in our family, adventures often mean you're going to get a little bit muddy along the way. The owner was very responsive and quickly answered any questions that we had; very prompt and friendly. It is a wonderful, stress free get away where our family was able to create some wonderful memories. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to relax, unwind, and just enjoy life for a while.
