The best charcoal bricks to use are the kind with the lighter fluid already absorbed in the bricks. Otherwise, the coals take forever to get hot. I believe the high attitude might have something to do with this. The Siam restaurant is right across the street which has gotten great reviews plus, of course, there are many other restaurants to choose from around town. The Wine Mine liquor store is right across the street, too.

Just a Little Bit of Telluride History from the Telluride History Museum Website:
beginning in 1875 Telluride Experienced a Vibrant Mining Era Rich in Zinc, Lead, Copper, Iron, Silver, and Gold But Died Out With the Combination of the Crash of Silver Prices in 1893 and World War I. by the 1960s, Telluride Was Barely More Than a Ghost Town, and the Population Had Dwindled to Less Than 600 Residents.
Telluride Was Resurrected in the 1970s by Another Kind of Gold: White Gold, Or Snow. a Small Group of Locals, Led by Bill Mahoney Sr., Joined Forces With Entrepreneur Joe Zoline to Build the First Iteration of the Ski Resort On the Ridge Near Gold Hill. the New Ski Resort Reshaped the Economy, Revived the Telluride Community, and Put Telluride Back On the Map.
