Nice, roomy condo, close to Canyon Lodge

Each year we go on ski week for Spring Break, and each year we try to choose a different condo complex, usually as close as we can get to Canyon Lodge. This was our first time staying in Mountain Back, and we liked it. Terry's condo is an end unit, so it's got great light and lots of space. In fact, unlike most units near Canyon, this unit is actually bigger than it appears in the pictures, which is great! There was plenty of space at the dining table, and our party of 6 never felt cramped. On the furnishing side, Terry's place is rustic, but well kept. Sleeping quarters were as pictured. Beds were decent and the kids loved the sun room with the trundle twins. Was unsure how that leather couch would feel, but both the couch and the oversized love seat were super comfy. It had all the right cooking utensils, which we used each evening, and as is the case with most well priced units, the cookware has seen better days. Wifi worked fine, and it was nice to have the covered parking. The listing does not mention the clearance - which is posted at 7 feet, but we squeezed in with a roof box and were able to open it inside the garage, so actual clearance is closer to 8'. No sauna in the building (that we know of) and the hot tubs outside are small and aging. For those that value a good soak, this might be the only downside, though the our tub was nice and hot - a bit better than those at closer options like St. Anton or Chamonix. All in all, a great stay. Thanks Terry!

Mountain Escape

We absolutely loved this charming 3 bedroom townhome in Mammoth! We are frequent Mammoth travellers and we usually stay either in the Village or at the Westin. This time we booked late and decided to give this place a try, and to be honest we were nervous about it. To our surprise we realized we rented a total winner as soon as we stepped in the door! This spacious and immaculate 3 bedroom , 3 bath was perfect. It was decorated quintessentially cabin-risqué which made it warm and inviting. It was laden with thoughtful amenities, including fresh coffee beans and a bottle of wine to welcome us! What a classy touch’. You can tell a lot of thought was put into everything from ziploc bags, microwave popcorn, and a few common spices in the pantry to extra linens for really cold nights, this place was stocked for even the most finicky guests. We loved that it was immaculately clean especially in this day and age, and although it has cozy rustic decor everything was spotless with not a speck of dust to be found. Beds were comfy, and we loved the balcony with snow capped views, it was my husbands favourite place to sit with a cup of coffee. Location was great, close to all, and the one thing we really noticed that the air quality inside the unit was really great, which is something we have had issues with in other Mammoth rentals. Overall this place was perfect ,we are super picky, total clean freaks, and we travel often and if we could we would give this unit a 10!

Great Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of the best equipped condos I’ve stayed in. The kitchen had every appliance you could want, there were even placemats to use to set a nice table and the kitchen was very functional. The condo was very clean and the furniture was nice. The floor plan was open and very Roomy. The mattress in the master bdrm was comfortable. It was conveniently located just a few miles from Twin Lakes campground where the rest of our family was staying. We received excellent support from the office when the WiFi needed to be connected to the tv. This unit is right next to the pool and office. The only downside was the steps from the garage to unit and from the street entry to the unit. No elevator. A plus is the bus stop to ski areas and beyond is right outside the front door. We had a great stay and would definitely book this Condo again. It was also well stocked with firewood.
