Hermanas en la arena es una casa de playa renovada de 3 dormitorios, 1 baño y es una excelente opción para vacaciones familiares. Ubicado a pocos pasos de la playa, tiendas y restaurantes, el muelle Tybee y el Centro de Ciencias Marinas. Disfrutará de la conveniente ubicación en el extremo sur mientras que aún ofrece un entorno único de cabañas. Además, toda la familia puede acompañarte en tu viaje, ya que esta casa admite mascotas y ofrecerá a tu compañero peludo un patio trasero completamente cercado para disfrutar.

Hay un porche cubierto amueblado en la parte delantera de la casa que ofrece espacio para relajarse y disfrutar del hermoso clima de la isla. Dentro de la planta baja, encontrará una sala de estar con TV de pantalla plana, un comedor con una mesa con capacidad para 4, junto con una cocina muy bien actualizada, baño completo y lavadora / secadora. El dormitorio del primer piso tiene una cama doble, un sofá cama doble y un televisor de pantalla plana. El gran patio trasero cercado incluye una ducha exterior cerrada, terraza amueblada y una parrilla de gas para comidas al aire libre.

Arriba, hay dos dormitorios, uno con una cama doble que ofrece un televisor y otro con 2 gemelos. También hay una pequeña zona de estar con TV adicional. Hay acceso a la relajante terraza descubierta, también. ¡Aquí podrás disfrutar del sol y del aire Tybee! Relájese y descanse y disfrute de la brisa fresca y del cálido sol.

Hay aparcamiento en la calle para 2 vehículos. Sisters in the Sand admite mascotas para 1 perro de menos de 25 lb con un cargo adicional.

The property is a 5 min walk to the beach and the beds were comfortable. However, we flew in from another state and the property doesn’t provide beach towels or a few beach chairs for guests. The TVs didn’t work but then we were able to fix one TV. The outdoor shower is not in the best condition.

Make sure you have your tetanus shots

Check in process is relatively painless. You’ll have to go through the prop management’s portal to access pertinent info which is kind of a pain. Their communication isn’t great; I personally wouldn’t recommend them. The house was meh. No actual driveway. Grass is overgrown. Decor is a bit tattered. Ceiling fan downstairs makes an annoying noise and doesn’t have a working light. Refrigerator has a weird leak underneath it. Knives are painfully dull. Bathroom outlet trips if you try to use a hair dryer. Toilet runs nonstop if you don’t jiggle it just right. Check your windows because we found one that wasn’t even locked. Deck outside has screws sticking out and a completely broken board in the outdoor shower area. Dryer door handle is broken and you get your fingers stabbed by a screw when you go to open it. The outlet in my room wasn’t even secured to the wall and the other one looked questionable. The door to the balcony wouldn’t open and the keypad/handle to the one downstairs is needing to be tightened up before it falls apart. There was also a random extension cord doubling as a tripping hazard right outside the side door. Provided salt, but no pepper? We were given plenty of towels, enough dish soap & tablets for the dishwasher. No dustpan but there was a vacuum. The stairs do not creak at all which is awesome. AC keeps up with the Georgia heat which is impressive. Prop mngmt company said they’d reach out after survey but never did.

My complaints- my family and i traveled by plane and we arrived at 10 instead of our later time of 12 because our flights changed and no one was replying to us regarding if we could possibly arrive at the property an hour earlier because our arrival time was 4pm for the property. no communication besides an automated message reminding us that our arrival time for the property was 4. We decided to wait in the porch when we arrived at 3 and just wait but someone showed up at the same time to clean and inspect the cottage. I thought this was weird because you would assume that they would inspect the property at least a day before and not just a whole hour but whatever. Another complaint is that since we flew, of course we didn’t bring any beach chairs, etc so we called to see if they offer any on the property or at their office and they claimed that they didn’t and that other people complained about the same issues. This is so stupid in my opinion because if others complained… maybe you would do something about that. Other bits is just finding shoe prints on my bedroom wall and just dirty walls and some blood stains on the blankets. There was also black mold on the shower head and the toilet seat felt broken. I took pictures of all of these but we were highly disappointed with this and will not be staying with sisters in the sand again.

Better than we expected!

First impression was our delight in the fresh and clean appearance of the home. We loved it. The front screened in room was the evening delight. The fenced in yard gave our family pet the freedom of safe play. The location was within waking distance of anything you wanted to do yet the actual neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet.. The home exceeded our expections by far.

AC does not work correctly!

Pros: Cute house in a quiet neighborhood, great screened porch and backyard. Cons: We do NOT recommend staying here in the summer as the AC doesn't work correctly, and overall we did not have a great experience. When we checked in we were told that the dishwasher was broken and wouldn't be fixed during our stay. When we arrived at the house, we noticed that it was hot and that there were "how-to" instructions for the AC, as people have obviously had previous issues with it. It cooled down enough to deal with it the first two days, but by our last evening it was 85 degrees upstairs where there are 2 bedrooms and our small kids were staying. Tybee Vacation Rentals offered to send an HVAC tech, but there's nothing wrong with the AC unit other than the fact that it's undersized for the house/GA heat. We ended up leaving a night early.

Great stay!!!

This place was an absolute delight!!!! From the amazing back porch area with comfy chairs, along with a fenced in backyard to the upstairs deck/ porch to lay in the sun or the front porch, the living space at this house is incredible!! And when we were ready to leave the house, we LOVED the location! Less than a mile walk o the beach or restaurants for dinner. The car sat in the driveway/ grass area for a good portion of our visit because so much was within walking distance.

Great Outdoor Space!

We really enjoyed our time in the house. The screened porch was fantastic especially during the rainy nights! It was so close to the beach , able to bike or walk within minutes. Really able to enjoy the island and super easy to get into Savannah. We had a great time and the rental company was very communicative !

Loved staying there!

We had no issues with renting. Rental company called prior to our stay to confirm we recieved the information we had been sent; very friendly customer service. Check in and check out was easy and we absolutely loved our stay!

Cozy Cottage

This was a great little house in a nice neighborhood with easy walking distance to restaurants. It has a lovely rooftop deck and wonderful fenced in backyard for enjoying the outside.

True Island Beach experience! Cottage cute and beach colors and decor.

Great stay at Sister in the Sand! Easy self check in. 3 great areas of cottage to enjoy the beach weather. Screened porch with table for eating. Enjoyed morning coffee out there. 2nd floor sun deck with lounge chairs. Fenced backyard with patio, table and grill. So close to beach and activities. Great area to ride your bike. The best part was the outdoor shower. No tracking in sand from the beach. Cottage even has a wagon for you to use to bring all your things to the beach. A nice easy beach getaway!!

Difficulty checking in after hours

We notified after hrs arrival, packet was to be left for pick up. No packet. After an hour of phone tag and different codes, finally able to get in. Had to return to office the following morning for new code. $25.00 gift card for local restaurant given. Gift card was appreciated, but meant we had to visit restaurant to use. Second issue was the number of emails and texts we received regarding our check out process the day before checkout. Seemed like an intrusion on our stay. House has little amenities as compared to airnb places. Wished we would have stayed in a hotel instead. Less worries.

May 2017 Stay

This was our first trip back to the Beach Bum Parade in many years and it was fabulous!!! Sisters in the Sand was perfect for our group...the upstairs was the teenagers hang and I loved my master suite. My favorite places in the house was the screened porch and the outdoor shower!!!!! We will definitely be back!!

June 2016 Stay

We had a great trip and enjoyed our stay at Sisters in the Sand. Despite tropical storm Colin making our first day rainy, the kids were able to keep entertained with the board games they found in a cabinet. The screened-in front porch was our favorite place to sit back and enjoy popsicles. The walk to the beach was easy. Our only suggestion would be to replace the dryer. It works, but is rusty and squeals when running. We would definitely stay again!
