The setting is magical, very peaceful, with plenty to do right on the property. It is close to town and to Tonto National Forest.. The apt. has all the amenities, comfortable beds, cute decor and a great layout. The problems we had, which we did not contact anyone about, were lack of screen on master patio door so couldn’t leave open at night to hear the creek and cool the apt., had to run A/C all night, the blinds were broken in 2nd bedroom, the bathtub has a continuous drip and we had to put a washcloth in it at night so stop noise, refrigerator extremely noisy running, and kitchen sink the faucet has to be put in just the right spot, not completely turned off, to not drip (would think owners would want to fix those few items to save money in less electricity and water usage), and it was not very clean when we moved in. We realize people moved out a day earlier but it looked like sheets and towels were washed, kitchen counter wiped down and floors vacuumed only. I spilt some water pouring from a bottle to a glass when we first got there. When I wiped it up the paper towel was dark brown. We had to wash both coffee makes before we could use them as it looked like the had not been properly cleaned in a while. And the water is so highly chlorinated, we had to run out on the first day to pick up more bottled water and ice. And the little gravel in the driveway was so annoying as it was constantly tracked in as it stuck in shoes and we were constantly sweeping or vacuuming. The vacuum doesn’t pick those rocks up well so we could not go barefoot inside as we would at home. We left it cleaner when we left with exception of dirty linens, than when we arrived. All that said, we would stay there again because of the setting. It was a much needed stress relieving get-a-way for us.
