Gran casa de 4 dormitorios y 3 baños con un corto paseo a la playa de Sheridan.

Nuestra casa de vacaciones en Sheridan Beach fue renovada en agosto de 2015. Pusimos una cocina nueva con gabinetes de nogal, encimeras de cuarzo y una isla de carnicero. La cocina está abierta a la sala de estar y al comedor, lo que proporciona un área abierta agradable para que su grupo se reúna. Hay una cafetera Keurig además de una cafetera de olla normal.

La casa está a solo 0. 2 millas a pie de la playa usando el camino de la playa hasta Lake Shore Dr que está cerca de la casa. Las 2 habitaciones de arriba son enormes, con muchas opciones para dormir en cada habitación. Hay un pequeño balcón privado en cada habitación de arriba. Hay una gran terraza en el patio trasero con una parrilla y mesa de comedor. El amplio camino de entrada y el garaje para 2 autos ofrecen todo el espacio que necesitará para estacionar.

La casa está completamente amueblada y equipada con todo lo que necesita para el retiro definitivo de su hogar. Todas las sábanas y toallas están incluidas. La cocina está en el nivel principal y está abierta al salón y al comedor. Una gran sala familiar con un sofá seccional, televisión de alta definición de 50 pulgadas, futbolín, ping pong, air hockey y piscina (mesas combinadas) se encuentra en el nivel inferior. El nivel inferior tiene un control deslizante de salida al patio trasero y la cubierta grande. Disfrute de una cena al aire libre con suficientes asientos para todo el grupo. ¡Hay una zona de arena con muchos juguetes, un conjunto de bolsas y muchos otros juegos al aire libre!

Hay 4 habitaciones:

DORMITORIO 1 (Habitación Azul): nivel superior: dormitorio grande con 1 cama King, una cuna grande, un futón, 2 armarios y una cómoda (cambiador).
DORMITORIO 2 (habitación naranja): nivel superior: dormitorio grande con 2 literas, ambas con dos camas individuales (4 camas en total), 1 armario, una cómoda y una mesa para niños.
DORMITORIO 3 (Habitación Verde): nivel principal - Cama Queen, armario, tocador y escritorio.
DORMITORIO 4 (Habitación Amarilla): nivel inferior - Habitación pequeña con 1 cama queen y una cómoda.

Hay tres baños en la casa, un baño en cada nivel. Dos baños tienen ducha y 1 baño tiene una combinación de ducha / bañera.

Esta casa es perfecta para familias. ¡Hay una cuna completa, cambiador, columpio para bebés, área de arena, muchos juegos y juguetes!

La casa está equipada con internet inalámbrico y 2 televisores HD con TV por cable y DVR con funciones de grabación y grabación de TV en vivo. Tenemos un televisor de 50 "en la sala de juegos de nivel inferior y un televisor de 32" en la sala de estar, que está abierta a la cocina y al comedor.

Just what we needed

Was on a work trip. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and having lots of room. Would stay again if back in the area

Just okay

Property just as the title says, just okay. The home needs some TLC to be a little more presentable inside. Furniture inside and outside (patio) beds to be replaced. No gaming setup as described in the basement (foosball, pool, air hockey) as it was all broken, but still out. Internet connection was not as it was listed in the welcome packet. When I messaged the host asking for assistance on this I did not receive a response. Luckily, we were able to figure it out. Positives- kitchen and main floor bedroom were nice. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood and near the beach. House served it's purpose, just disappointed with the condition and inaccurate descriptions.

Spacious place to sleep, close to everything fun!

The property has a lot of room, was clean, in a nice neighborhood, and close to what we had planned. We really just slept here, but the home has everything you might need for meals, family fun, and a great getaway!

Convenient access to beach

We enjoyed the stay in general. Positive: easy and short access to beach; prompt response from manager; good size bedrooms; 1 full bath on each level. Concerns: some basic standard cooking utensils are missing (no toaster, only 2 burners in grill are working; only 1 shelf in oven; sparce cooking utensils )

Family reunion

Very nice house. We had a fun family get-together. Plenty of space for cousins to play. Enjoyed walking to the beach, even though it was bit cold in November.

Sibling getaway

Nice quiet neighborhood. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for 4 couples. Had a great weekend sitting around spending time with family. Met the host and his family ,nice family, as he had to stop in to take care of a couple of things. Enjoyable weekend.

Lake Michigan

The beds were comfortable, gas stove was nice, back deck was nice. The kids enjoyed their stay. The neighborhood was nice. It was newly painted a beautiful blue. The CO2 detector was alarming, but the fire dept said it just needed to be replaced. Good assortment of games, beach toys, wagon and outdoor toys. We did not mind the older furniture because we did not need to be yelling at the kids all the time lol. I had read other reviews, so we brought a few our own pots and pans. We would stay here again. Would like it if we could have figured out how to use the basement TV,

House not ready for guests

The location is perfect. The house needs finished and cleaned. The couches were both grossly dirty. The basement room is not a bedroom. The second floor was ok- nice shower, but duct tape on the toilet seat. Thread bare towels- dirty back deck. Just doesn’t seem the house is done yet!

Family place near the beach

The best part was having 3 bathrooms, one on each floor. The open plan living, dining, kitchen was very nice. The beach chairs were very useful. The host was very responsive and came right over to help us get the ac working. It was a pity that the nice deck at the back has inconvenient access and is not connected with the open plan living, dining and kitchen. The lower level was partially finished and does not have a ping pong table or combo pool/air hockey/pool table per the description.

Vacation 2023

Our family enjoyed how close the rental was to the beach. We also were there when the boat races were in town. It was amazing. It was nice to have all the bedrooms to fit our family. The washer and dryer were wonderful especially with needing to wash bathroom towels. ( Need to have more towels in each bathroom and wash clothes) Loved the gas stove for cooking. I was disappointed that there was a crockpot but no container for the inside to actually use it. Only 3 trash bags for the stay. Definitely needed more for our stay. If we stayed here again I would know what I would need to bring. Towels, wash clothes, trash bags, paper towels, crockpot, etc.

Great for large group

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here for a women's getaway weekend. There were enough beds for everyone and the back deck is lovely. The house could use some updating and a few things to make it more convenient. For example, we assumed that there would be salt and pepper shakers, but there were none. The toilet seat on the upstairs bathroom has a crack which pinches when you sit down. The coffee maker had not been cleaned since the previous guests and there was coffee and grounds sitting in the filter. However, these were minor inconveniences and in general, we enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach is lovely and we got a couple of great sunsets.

Good location!

The location was good! Short walk on a path through the woods to lake shore drive and the lake. Elementary school very close with a large playground in back. A few issues at the house were the dishwasher was not working properly. Also the refrigerator door had to be very carefully closed or we were afraid it would break. We were not able to start the grill. And there was not a can opener. If those issues are addressed there would be not much to complain about.

Fantastic location, poor support from host

The house is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the beach. The interior of the house would need some care though, with a few things that need to be cleaned (e.g. sofa) and others that need to be repaired (fussball, shower head). But overall we enjoyed the stay, with the exception below. The A/C was not working during our stay. We communicated the problem to the host and, while we stayed for a couple of days more, he was not able to send anyone to take a look and fix the issue. Communication was very slow -- I also shared my mobile phone number asking to be called but it never happened. We then asked for a partial refund (the house was advertised with the A/C), and contacted Vrbo to assist us. After 3 weeks, still no answer about our request. I look forward for a positive resolution of the issue!

Large Family Getaway

A large gathering place for our big family. The back deck has lots of seating for all. Great short walk to the beach with many beach chairs for us all to borrow. Various little broken things found throughout the home. Furniture was old and not very clean. No toaster. No dishwasher soap. Many soaps topped off with water or none at all. Many towels for all. Had difficulty with the AC not working with many people in the house and long delays of communication from the host with limited support and no direction of how it would be fixed - thus no AC for half our stay. Opened the windows to allow for airflow yet many screens had holes in them or no screens at all with bugs getting inside. Could use some updates of furniture, towels, etc for the amount of groups coming in and out and for items indicated on the list to be found in the home. In all, we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and appreciated the space for us all to gather.

a bit below average

The positive thing that I like about this house is the location and short walk to the beach. It also was available for one night as many places require a minimum of 2 nights or more. It could use a coat rack or someplace to hang coats. We had 12 people and just piled them on a chair. It had 3 bathrooms, but the one on the second floor we found to be out of order on the first use. One of the bedrooms with bunkbeds had some sort of crumbs on the fitted sheet. There were not pillow cases for most of the pillows. The ice maker did not work. There were only two kitchen towels and one washcloth for the kitchen. With 12 people, there could have been more. We were there less than 24 hours, so none of us 12 used the showers. There were plenty of bath towels, but not used. There was a cleaning fee, but it is stated to take all the sheets off the beds and place them on the washing machine in the basement. We also placed bathroom washcloths and a few damp towels in the washing machine and started it. It was requested if there were damp items. We also loaded the dishwasher, started it, and made sure the counters were clean. We had to call the owner as we could not open the front door with the keys provided. Three people tried, but all were unsuccessful. There is a nice deck and a sandbox, which would be great for warmer weather gatherings.

Nothing Exceptional

Pros: Close walk to the beach Plenty of bedrooms Crib for a baby 2 grills Kitchen decently stocked Towels were provided along with soap and toilet paper Owner sent back cleaners when we arrived and it still appeared dirty Washer and dryer were available Cons: Almost none of the doors fully worked. Knobs fell off, latches were lacking, knobs werent fully attatched to the door, etc. Knives in the kitchen were all very dull The couch and arm chair seemed dirty even after a 2nd cleaning Wooden chair on balcony was shattered All the chairs in the basement had holes on the seat and were not usable The basement couch was old and worn down Cracked toilet seat with a wonky knob Owner only responded to some texts The place is in desperate need of a deep, deep clean- not just cleaning what is immediately visable Honestly, the whole place lacked pride. With some extra love it could be a great VRBO and I hope the owner takes these comments into consideration.
