About owner/property manager

We have lived in Warren our entire lives and have always enjoyed spending time by the water. We love to kayak, fish and dig for quahogs, but quiet time on the deck watching the boats sail by is also something that we look forward to each day. Our deck provides the best way to start your day with coffee, enjoy your lunch between outings, and end your day with dinner. The view is amazing! We spend time on the bike path most days - and we enjoy walking or riding to local restaurants and shops. We love our little town!

Why owner/property manager chose Rhode Island

Location, location, location! Waterfront - spectacular sunsets - kayaking - bike/walking trail - close proximity to local restaurants and shops - centrally located between Newport and Providence. Boats travel to the local marinas past our house so you have the joy of hours of quiet entertainment just sitting and watching, but if you like to be active - jump in kayaks and paddle along the miles of shoreline, or walk or ride the bike path. All accessible right outside our door.

Stunning

  • 5 of 5

Our rental vacation was 7/15-7/22, 2017 and what a wonderful rental experience. The home was beautifully located along the water front. The home is decorated beautifully and spic and span clean. The views from inside the home was wonderful. There were three couples renting during this week and there was more than ample room inside the home. Everything that we needed was there. Kathy was there to greet us when we arrived to show us around her home. Kathy and Bob were so quick to respond to me by email or a phone call. So nice to work with them. The rental is located perfectly between the larger cities and towns and so easy to visit other attractions. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone who is visiting Rhode Island.

Thank You Bob and Kathy for a great summer vacation.

Beautiful House with Beautiful Views!

  • 5 of 5

This is THE house to stay in when in Rhode Island. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The interior is amazingly well maintained, designed and decorated. The view is awesome.

Kathy and Bob went out of their way to make us feel welcome at their waterfront house, showed us around their property and explained everything. They surprised us with very thoughtful welcome gifts, left us handwritten instructions on how to operate the entertainment and home appliances, and were easily contactable & responsive throughout our stay.

The house is very clean, secure, and provided excellent accommodation for our family trip to attend my daughter’s graduation at Brown University graduate school. The King-sized bed and the two Queen-sized beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious, with good water pressure. The living room is ultra luxurious with leather double reclining sofa & love seat and a huge TV with cable. We love that the house is right on the water.

We felt very much at home and relaxed. Thank you very, very much Kathy & Bob. We appreciate your kindness, helpfulness and graciousness.

Very comfortable house, with everything you could need for a stay, in a beautiful quiet setting.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this house, and found Kathy to be a very helpful owner. I agree with previous reviews, everything you could need is there for you, with so many gadgets in the kitchen, even napkins & coffee filters for the large coffee maker. And from the outset, Kathy was quick to respond and give us answers. The rooms are all very comfortable, and it is a very quiet area, with the theme 'away from it all' being very accurate. The position of the house, at the end of the street, up it's own driveway, means no cars pass by. The bike path can only be glimpsed through the tree's/bushes. Being 2 of us, we slept in the bedroom with the en-suite bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. We had extremes of weather during our visit, with very chilly weather to start, and were kept cosy with the central heating; then at the end of our stay, the temperature soared and we needed to use the air conditioning. Being British, we were unaware of the need for loft fans, and were concerned about the noise, thinking it was connected to the air conditioning, but a quick question to Kathy sorted this out for us.

The two bathrooms upstairs, with a shower and bath available were excellent, with plenty of room in the shower for your elbows. There were lots of toiletries available, and liquid soap in each bathroom. The downstairs bathroom saved running up & down the stairs all the time. We used the washing machine & dryer, which were easy to use. The Wi-fi was great, we had no problems using it on a few devices. We had daily visits from a swan who we fed, meaning we had to keep buying more bread. Most of the numerous geese were less tame.

We were in the area visiting friends who live nearby, and would definitely love to stay here again. Sitting on the deck for breakfast, and watching the sun go down on a warm evening was heavenly.

Thanks Kathy & Bob.

Lovely waterfront home!

  • 5 of 5

Such a wonderful experience we had staying for a week at this lovely home. We used it as a home base for our many day trips to Boston, Harvard, RISD, Brown Univ., Providence, Bristol, Newport, Block Island, and Rose Island. They were action-packed days with our 2 teen girls, and it was so nice coming back to this lovely home to relax and watch the summer Olympics. (The sectional and big screen TV were much appreciated!) The screen porch is a great way to start the day with breakfast and a view. We had planned to kayak from the house (Kathy provided an extensive list of things to do and rental facilities), but we simply ran out of time. The entire house was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need; I felt like I was visiting a friend's home. The coastal-style decor is impeccable and charming. The neighborhood was quiet. We used the path behind the house to walk to the weekly farmer's market. Bristol is a quick drive for cute gift shops, nightly ice cream cones, and walks along the pier. We initially planned to have my parents join us, but last-minute health issues prevented it; the house would have easily housed the 6 of us, and it would have been a perfect place for them (79 years of age) to spend the days while we were out sightseeing. Kathy & Bob were great hosts in welcoming us at our arrival, showing us little helpful things to know about the house, suggesting places to get food for that night's dinner and additional fun places they thought we might like, and were never more than a quick text away if we had additional questions or interesting adventures to share. We feel so lucky to have found this cute home. I would recommend it to anyone, and hope that we have the opportunity to visit again.

Amazing waterfront home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay in this beautiful waterfront home. From my first contact with Kathy about our interest in renting her house, through our entire stay, Kathy was always very responsive, kind and helpful. And the place itself was absolutely stunning! So clean and beautifully decorated - we felt at home as soon as we got there and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous gift of wine that Kathy had left for us. And the water view is amazing. My husband, mother and I spent most mornings enjoying the view with a cup of coffee on the lovely back porch and many evenings watching the sailboats cruise by as we discussed all the fun things we had done that day and awaited the amazing sunsets. And there’s so much to do nearby. There is a wonderful paved walking/biking path virtually right outside the door which goes for miles along the water past beautiful homes and gardens. This path also makes the walk to downtown Warren very easy and scenic and this small town, along with nearby Bristol, offers many wonderful waterfront restaurants and unique shops. We were also able to take quick and easy day trips to Newport and Block Island - both definitely worth the visit. I’m not sure when we’ll get a chance to get back to Rhode Island but if we ever do we’ll definitely make every effort to stay in this beautiful home again!
