I**VRBO Premier Partner** In the many years we've been able to host families from all over the US including guests from Hawaii and California & there have been less than a handful of guests of whom we as the property owners could not please... First, our family hosts church groups and friends of the family and many times (especially if these guests are older) these guests do not have an email address to utilize when booking; thus, their stay is listed utilizing the owner email. When those families submit a review they submit through VRBO and the email username then lists on the booking which in one case showed up as the owner's name due to this very situation. I appreciated the notification by the guest of the clogged kitchen sink and I was able to have our plumbers come out to the property immediately upon notification. I am unaware as to how the kitchen sink plumbing became clogged during this guests stay but this was the first notification of any drainage concerns---(Note: our personal family stayed at the property in May prior to the "busy" season and had no sink drainage issues). Our prompt plumbing crew was able to unclog the sink resolving the issue. I want to make note that I personally arrived to the property myself to make sure all accommodations were satisfactory for the guest which included personally hand-washing the guests used dishes as well as purchasing a few "extra" items for the kitchen as the guest aggressively requested upon our face to face interaction. While at the property with the guest I had my plumbers tend to any other concerns the guests shared as this guest did aggressively share a complaint regarding a toilet seat being loose and "having a smell". This guest pursued extortion, blackmail, and threats of "leaving a bad review" if their aggressive demands were not met. VRBO was contacted by the home owner during this guest stay to seek counsel regarding this guest and their means of communication with the home owner. A refund of one nights stay as well as the entire cost of the cleaning fee was refunded for any inconvenience of the kitchen sink drainage concern. This home is a beautiful Piece of Heaven located Lakefront on Douglas Lake TN of which we share with those who do not live in the area.This home was featured as listed on HGTV's Lakefront Bargain Hunt (see Episode 7 Taking Stock In Tennessee Treasure). It is a true jewel on the lake offering a paddle board, kayak, and paddle boat & private dock.

Unfortunately this is one review (guest perspective) where the guest was inappropriately seeking funds to be returned after their use of this home. This review does not depict the property or reasonable guest reviews of the property. This property is listed on another rental platform with over 15 - 5 star reviews... A pest control company named Fortify Pest Control preventatively treats this property monthly. This guest was contacted by the owners of the property during her stay... upon review of the property by the pest control company there was no knowledge or opportunity of persistent ants on the premises indoor or outdoor. The owners were curious if the guest had spilled lemonade or some other sugary substance in her vehicle as mentioned and then brought those ants from her vehicle into the home on her shoes? This review remains a mystery.
