Why Owner/Manager chose Lawton Park

Each time we visited our daughter and her family in Magnolia we loved the area more and more! It is very close to all the fun that Seattle offers, and at the same time, so relaxed and friendly. When we found this house, which had been beautifully remodeled, we could not resist buying it. We discover an interesting shop or a great new restaurant each time we are there. There is nothing more beautiful than Seattle and Puget Sound on a sunny day...or on a wet one for that matter! We hope you will come to enjoy it as much as we do.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your house was certainly a 5 star experience for me and the guys. While the Mariners lost both games, we had a blast. Perfect neighborhood feel, the local coffee shop, and downtown with the markets, the Space Needle (after all, we're tourists) and the craft beers! We had a fantastic time and thank you for the great memories!

Lovely, clean and thoughtful for travelers!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of six (three generations of family) came to Seattle for a recital at Seattle Pacific University. Sally's place accommodated us so very well! The house is immaculate, tastefully furnished, with every amenity we could ask for! I personally loved the special touches (magnifying mirror in master bath, extra toothbrushes, lots of towels/linens, cozy blankets, electric teapot, plenty of hangers, Scotch tape in the kitchen drawer, etc.). We really felt at home! The neighborhood was extremely quiet, lovely, close to where we wanted/needed to go. We liked the layout, too (two queen-sized beds, two twin beds). A very thoughtful home and much appreciated!

Great place to stay in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best VRBOs I have stayed in. Great location in the lovely Magnolia neighborhood (only 15 minutes from downtown, easy access to Ballard, etc.). The house was immaculate, nicely furnished, had a well-stocked kitchen, and nice linens. As a group of adults in town to deliver a professional workshop, we appreciated having plenty of space to work as a team and in private.

We stayed in this lovely house for 3 nights before onboarding a cruise ship. The house was clean and ready when we checked in. It had everything we needed for our stay. Overall it was a 5 star experience and we would love to return when we come to Seattle again!

Neighborhood Gem

The house was comfortable and inviting. It was beautifully stocked and had everything we needed. The location is ideal, about 15 minutes from downtown but also walking distance to Discovery Park. We had the most wonderful vacation there

Owner's Response: Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed your reunion of friends at our house! When supplying the house I took a survey of many family members asking, "What would YOU want there?" That was very helpful when it came to stocking what guest may need. Come back and visit again!

• Located on a peninsula west of Queen Anne Hill‚ south of the Ballard neighborhood‚ and only minutes from downtown Seattle‚ Magnolia is a special place which retains its friendly, small town feel. It is accessible by three bridges or a lovely walk across the Chittenden Locks from Ballard.

• A short distance from the University of Washington (5 miles), Safeco field and Century Link field (7 miles), cruise line terminals (3-4 miles) and Seattle Center (4 miles). Once you arrive at the Seattle Center the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Experience Music Project, the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum along with theaters, restaurants, entertainment, and art exhibits are within walking distance!

• Our house is half a mile from Discovery Park, the largest city park in Seattle. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget sound, the park offers spectacular views of both the Cascade and the Olympic mountain ranges. There are two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as trails, open meadowlands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams. Catch the West Point Lighthouse at sunset!

• The Metropolitan Market is within walking distance, and it will meet all your grocery requirements in style! West McGraw street is the heart of Magnolia Village. Look there for great restaurants, pubs, coffee, bakeries, a lovely bookstore, services and specialty shops. Trader Joe's is just over the bridge. Nearby Fisherman’s Terminal is a 100-year-old working marina on salmon bay.

• Magnolia offers wonderful parks and playgrounds. The view of downtown Seattle from Ella Bailey park can’t be rivaled! The delightful Woodland Park Zoo is 3.6 miles away. Enjoy a visit to the lovely Magnolia Library on 34th avenue w.
