Welcome to Mountain Paradise. This is a new property that our family recently purchased in 2019, and that we are happy to share on VRBO. We have another home in Maui that we share as well. For reference (in terms how we treat our guests), please feel free to view this home at listing # 7301035 on VRBO/Homeaway's website.

Our Mountain Paradise home (VHR Permit number 072986) is situated high on the hillside offering panoramic mountain and valley views of the Angora Highlands area of South Lake Tahoe. You will be treated to all day sunshine and the beauty of nature is this retreat like home.

The house offers breathtaking views that are captured from nearly every room, as well as from the 2nd story deck which stretches the full width of the home.

BBQ or relax on the deck in the large 8 person hot tub with views of Mt. Tallac in the background and beautiful vistas of the valley below. Or enjoy the interior of the home with it's large game room, pool table, foosball, big screen TVs, gourmet kitchen, sauna, and more.

The location of the property offers unbelievable privacy yet it is still only a short drive to downtown, Heavenly Ski Resort, Sierra at Tahoe Resort, Camp Richardson, and Pope Beach. In addition, Fallen Leaf lake is less than a mile from the house and offers wonderful fishing, hiking trails, swimming, and a marina with boating, kayaking, and more. Our home is only 5 minutes from where hwy 50 intersects Lake Tahoe Blvd.

The house is perfect for families that want to have enough bedrooms and space to enjoy their time together. The upstairs portion of the main house has soaring ceilings, an amazing great room, a large loft game area, gourmet kitchen, and an expansive deck and hot tub. The open floor plan is perfect for relaxing together with family, cooking a nice meal, and enjoying indoor outdoor living.

The loft is is equipped with a mini-bar, pool table, Foosball, xboxes, and three 65-inch TVs. Perfect for gaming or watching a weekend of the March Madness Tournament.

The first floor is also very nice, with three bedrooms and its own living room area with large flat screen TV and a sauna. The bedrooms on this floor consist of a King size bed with an attached bath, a full bedroom with am ensuite bath, and bedroom with two bunk beds Full/Twin XL and Twin/twin XL

The master bedroom is Situated on the 2nd floor and is furnished with a King-size bed, a lounge area, fireplace, TV, and an attached master bathroom. The master bathroom is ensuite and spa-worthy with a Jacuzzi bathtub, walk-in shower, and dual sinks.

The 5th bedroom is also on the second floor and has a queen bed with an adjacent bathroom.

These 5 bedrooms fit 10-12 comfortably. That being siad, there are additional pull out sofas in the lower living room and loft area in case people want thier own beds or don't want to sleep in a bunk.

Please note: While we do not allow guests to bring pets to the house, we as owners do allow our dog to stay in the house when visiting. The house is always thoroughly cleaned after each stay. However, we wanted potential guests to know that this is not a 100% "Pet Free" home.

Long story short, this was easily the best property I’ve ever stayed at. My group was blown away — the pictures don’t do the living room justice! Our stay in this home was wonderful! We have 7 adults and each of us enjoyed the game room, the sauna, the hot tub and the spacious design to spread out. The view was magnificent! We rented snowshoes and took advantage of both the Dundee and the Angora Ridge trails - both within walking distance of the house. The location is perfect for restaurants, groceries, shopping and skiing. Chris was helpful and communicative before and during our stay. Highly recommend this beautiful and amazing property!

We had the most amazing girls trip at this cabin in Lake Tahoe! The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking, the beds were super comfortable, and the living space was perfect for hanging out together. The location was also ideal—close to town, hiking trails, and the lake, but still private and peaceful. The outdoor deck and hot tub were a huge bonus and made our evenings so much fun. This place is much more impressive than the photos do justice. Located on a dead end hillside, the view from the front of the house is incredible. The big deck provides a great place to take in the views with a cup of coffee or grill some dinner. Lots of natural sunlight in the kitchen and living room. Comfortable beds, plenty of sleeping arrangements and extra blankets and pillows. Game room loft was perfect for playing pool while watching sports. Location is easy enough to reach South Lake restaurants, grocery stores, casinos, etc by rental car. Ample parking space in garage and driveway. The hot tub, steam shower, and sauna make a perfect at home spa. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book this place again.

House was perfect for our family reunion. Great location near South Lake but off the beaten path to get some privacy. The pictures of the property surrounding the house doesn’t do it justice. Tahoe Mountain Retreat

The property and location were perfect! If you like to hike, there are numerous trails close by and one trail steps from the house. Fallen Leaf Lake is just a short drive, by bike or walk down the road. If you have kids, there's a fishing pond down the road for them to enjoy. Camp Richardson, Pope Beach, Tallac/Pope Estates are a short drive away. The house was beautiful with breath taking views of the surrounding mountains which you can enjoy on the deck. The property is very quiet and secluded. I highly recommend for family and friends.

3rd Time and Still Just as Charmed

We are three families who purchased this home in 2019. We have been coming to the South Lake Tahoe together for years. Given our love for this place, we finally decided to purchase a place of our own. This home is special to us, because it means our families can continue to come to Tahoe and enjoy time together. We hope you fall in love with this special place too!

Why they chose this property

The house is a one of a kind gem. Situated near Mt. Tallac the house offers unbelievable views of the Anogora Valley and surrounding mountains. Directly out our front door are hiking and biking trails that will take you all over the valley and up the hillside for scenic views of Lake Tahoe and the rest of the Tahoe Valley.

What makes this property unique

Within a few miles are the Angora Lakes, Fallen leaf lake, and Sawmill Pond (perfect for fishing with little ones). We are only five minutes from town, yet it feels like we are completely secluded. In 15-20 minutes you can be on the slopes of Heavenly or Sierra at Tahoe or cross country ski right out the front door. This place has an unbelievable peace and serenity that drew us in.
