Private Pools are open starting the first weekend in May through the second weekend in October. Pool heat is not an option for this property. Pets are not allowed in pools under any circumstances. An additional fee will be charged to leaseholder for the chemical balance, cleaning or damage that would cause the replacement of a vinyl pool liner. Hot tubs are available year-round. Fireplace seen in photos is non-functioning and not available for use. This property provides a $250 credit toward beach gear delivered to your rental property. *Delivery fees may apply.* Offer only good for full weeks booked with check-ins beginning between May 22, 2026 and September 6, 2026, and May 28, 2027 and September 5, 2027.

All Outer Banks Blue vacation rentals include bed linens, with beds made prior to your arrival for convenience. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant, and 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per sink. Kitchens include drying towels. We also provide a starter supply of paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and toilet paper.

The location and the space were great and as advertised. Some small issues A pool chair was broken, the spot lights near the grill was not working, the hot tub jets stopped working, and the dryer was not doing its job efficiently. A great memorable stay with family and friends. Highly recommend this place for large group stays.

The home was perfect! Us, our children and parents all had a great time. The layout of the house was great, the rooms spacious and clean. The only thing I could recommend (maybe because it was off season) is the trees/bushes along the driveway could have been cut/trimmed as we had trucks with surf rods. We had to take the rods off the racks to get in and out of the driveway. Also the trees and bushes near the fish cleaning table need trimmed. We could not even get to that area due to the overgrown bushes. But other than those simple things, the home itself, outdoor pool area and billiards room were all a lot of fun. We will definitely book this house again!

Tropical Dream was a Dream

This house was amazing and also the staff for the property kept in touch with us the entire trip. I really loved being in the obx and a huge part of that was because I felt safe and comfortable with where me and my family laid our heads every night. Since it was an all girls trip that was really important.

Family Vacation

House was perfect for our family of ten. Everything we needed to cook was there ready for us to use. House was exactly as advertised. This house was one of a handful that had enough master bedrooms for our family & significant others. The family had a wonderful vacation at this house!! We will be back again!!

Labor Day weekend

The house was in a nice quiet area and a very short walk to the beach. House was clean and spacious for our large family. Pool and hot tub were in good working order and there were nice areas to sit outside on each level. Having a refrigerator upstairs and down was nice. Short drive to two different grocery stores. Driveway was easy to park 4-5 cars.

The area is near a grocery store and shops which is good. The house is within walking distance to the beach but has multiple steps which make it hard to carry a buggy. The house is spacious but needs upgrades done. We had a problem with ants in the kitchen that kept getting into our foods. Maintenance came and put down ant traps to no avail and said he couldn’t do anything about the spiders. Dryer stopped working (very old). One of the doors doesn’t lock which made us uneasy. Cleaning crew needs to do a better job of cleaning floors. Would not be my choice to stay here again.

New Year's trip

A wonderful way to ring in the new year. Location is awesome on a quiet cul-de-sac, with a private driveway. We brought the whole family. The elevator was a must, and there was a handicap bathroom for my mom. The hot tub in the pictures is not operational, but there is one out by the pool. Everyone had there own room and bathroom. The dining table was large enough for all 11 of us to eat together (but it needs to be refinished). The pool table was a bit of a disappointment. The space is too small and we didn't get much use of it (which was a requirement for our family). The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and pans - and had 2 dishwashers! And there is a second refrigerator on the lower level.It could've been a little cleaner. The bathrooms were not all completely cleaned properly and the floors were not washed, but nothing so bad we couldn't clean ourselves before settling in. The beds and furniture were comfy, and there's a lot of outdoor space in the decks.

Mothers Day Family weekend Beach. Stay

The house is in need of a good cleaning. One of the bedrooms had Bedbugs. Which put a damper on the stay, The couple in that room had to sleep on cots in a common area, they had to remain out of the room for 24 hours and when another mattress was brought in, it had Bedbugs also, so the couple never had the privacy of their own bedroom or bathroom. The maintenance staff responded quickly when we reported the issue. Now why the second mattress was not throughly explained and the bed put back together by the staff I don’t know That’s when we found the next set of Bedbugs when I was attempting to make up the bed. There was a dead Frog in the Hot Tub. The pool needed cleaning and so did the Grill. It was not clean we were unable to use the outdoor grill. The downstairs tile floors were not clean I had to purchase a Swifter to clean the floors. There were sone positive about the house, it was large enough to accommodate my family and the other bedroom seem to work for the rest of the guests. Once we got home we put our clothes in a hot dryer for an hour and then washed them and put them in the dryer again. Just in case we brought any bedbugs back with us. Also we all had to leave the house when they were spraying for bugs the fumes were so strong.

As you stated we responded immediately, and the situation was resolved within 24 hours. The pool was cleaned on the day of your arrival, and again mid-way through your stay. Twice per week cleaning of private pools is typically adequate for our properties, and we apologize that did not meet your expectations. We would have been happy to come by the property and rectify any issue with the grill had we known of the problem during your stay. Here's hoping your next stay is less eventful..

Big house 🏠

Needed break, great for elderly

We were visiting with a grandparent that has difficulty walking, the elevator was a godsend. House was perfectly furnished and immaculately clean. Pool table was in great condition and got plenty of use. The option to leave perishables for food bank donation is very kind. A few minor quibbles: I understand not leaving anything in the fridge or pantry, but no salt & pepper? We left you some, I hope you put it with the shakers for future use. Unless we just missed it, there was no list of what Roku channels you have accounts with, so it was a bit of a guessing game. The hot-tub was on when we arrived with no instructions for turning it off or filling it as it lost water. I am sure all of these things would have been promptly answered if I had called, I would just suggest putting a couple of laminated sheets with channels and hot-tub instructions would supplement the check in and check out procedures. All that being said, its an absolutely wonderful property that we will definitely look into staying again next summer in the on-season.

Great setup but neglected.

It’s a perfect setup with everyone having their own bathrooms. Location is great too. Well stocked kitchen. But the place has not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. All touch points were grimy like doors and light switches. Woodwork and chandeliers were thick with dirt and cobwebs. Small things were broken like toilet paper holders and the front panel of the sink (my sister fixed that). There were cigarette butts on the porch and rotted out holes in places making me doubt the porch safety. The furniture was terribly stained. Master bed caved in the middle. Luckily there was an empty room we could migrate too. The thing is - it’s a fantastic house but very neglected. Hopefully it gets a makeover this winter because I’d love to rent it again if it were updated and cleaned.

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I, and two other couples stayed here for the weekend. It was the first time staying in the Outer Banks for most of us. The house was extremely easy to find and are exactly as the pictures show. The elevator was definitely a back saver. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. We had an issue with batteries in a smoke detector at 7:30 Friday night. I called the after hours hotline, left a message and my call was returned in minutes! The issue was fixed first thing the next morning. I recommend staying here or with this company! Will definitely be back!

Would stay again

Location is amazing! Felt private with a close walk to the beach. Pool and hot tub is nice and clean. The house overall needs some maintenance. There was a loose stair out front that was dangerous. Lots of spider webs. Could use a good deep clean. However, that being said it is pet friendly. My family and dogs were very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again.

June 2020 - Nice house but needs maintenance

The house proximity to the beach is good but nestled in trees on pipe stem and offers no views. The outdoor furniture needs updating - numerous pieces were broken. The over range microwave wasn’t working but another countertop one was provided. The range and oven take a long time to heat. Shelves in the fridge were broken or flimsy. One of the showers on the mid level leaked and a repairman had to be called. We felt it was early in the 2020 rental season to have so many things that needed attention. The house is nice and has potential. We would not stay here again.

Hi Julie, the only item we heard about during your stay was the leaking shower, which was resolved. We would have been happy to take a look and resolve the other issues you've mentioned. So far we've had two other families who haven't mentioned these items either, but we're sending someone to take a look and make sure all is good. We're very sorry this impacted your stay at Tropical Dream, but we hope you will come to stay again to see how this was taken care of. (Update) We did take a look at the outdoor furniture and agree. We have purchased and replaced furniture for both levels of the desk and the pool area. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Great home for multigenerational gathering

The layout of the house was perfect for our mixed age group. The young set took over the ground floor with the pool table and foosball, while the elevator was a huge help to our oldest member who has difficulty climbing stairs. The hot tub was a hit too, even in December. We enjoyed it!

Outer Banks mini vacation

Tropical dream was a fantastic place to stay. We loved the proximity to the beach while also being away from the crowds of other areas. Looking forward to a return stay.
