Nice place close to UT

Perfect spot for what I needed. Had a weeklong event at UT and it was less than a 5min drive and 15min walk. Super convenient.The house has everything required. Kitchen was stocked, beds were comfortable, WiFi works, plenty of streaming apps on the TV. Door code is for the front door if you are like me and try the back door first!

Short day trip

We went to a concert at moody center and avoided the traffic by being able to walk. It is in the other side of the highway from the venue but very doable. The house was perfect for our short overnight stay. Very comfortable beds.

Race weekend in Austin

Can’t say enough great things about this house! Location, size, and amenities were all fantastic. They even had a first aid kit which was so helpful after scraping my knee up.

UT football trip

Nice little place to stay if needed to hit up UT. 1 mile from football stadium but an easy walk or uber. Place clean and nice 2br/1bath. 2 full beds, nice linen and very comfortable soft mattress. A few small changes would make this place 10/10 but it was still a great stay. Got hot at night so bring a fan if you get hot. Some ceiling fans and a different coffee table would make this place 10/10 fyi no laundry tho was not needed.

Frustration

We could not check at the time stated in the contract: 3.00 PM. This was a time sensitive issue as we were attending a life celebration event at 4.00 PM. The internet did not work for Friday and Saturday. Contact with the manager of the unit was frustrating. It sees as if she could not be bothered and asked if we could be there on Sunday between 12.00. to 2.00 PM to meet the AT & T person. Then he arrived at 9.00 AM while the rental unit person sat in her car. I kindly let the AT & T person know that he should talk to the property manager as we were guests. Fortunately the internet was fixed although the rental property manager did not let us know of this status. That required me to reach out to her. I understand that these situations happen. I am a property owner and landlord myself. But this person was passive and appeared that she wanted us - paying guests - to handle these issues with the rental.

Would recommend but there were some issues

The door code did not work and we had to work that out with management on arrival. Frustrating but not the end of the world. They never fixed the back door code problem though, so we had to leave thru the front door to make sure the house was locked. I let them know we had a toddler and a baby with us, and of course we were watching them closely, but—there was a fully accessible cabinet in the kitchen with paint, glue, wire cutters, sharp broken tiles piled up. Just hanging out there. Kind of a bad look. The couch is one of those suck you in couches that’s kinda low to the ground and deep. It’s comfortable but requires a foot on the coffee table to get comfortable since there are no ottomans. The coffee table was just a sheet of glass on a piece of metal that was not secured. We were off and on the couch over a few hours time and then I heard this loud crash and ran into see my husband sitting there looking at the sheet of glass on the floor (it didn’t break thank God). I guess it got nudged one too many times and just fell off. I recommend replacing this with something more sturdy! It’s especially not safe for kids. The couch and pillows are comfortable but both need a thorough cleaning. The whole place could use a deep clean, with the cobwebs in the corners and the pipes in the kitchen that smell terrible. The living room rug needs a pad or grippy thing under it so you don’t slip. I like the simplicity of the house and the back yard.

Small House near UT / Moody Center - Austin

Very nicely updated small house with lots of character. Good location near the Moody Center as we stayed there for a concert on a weekday. Comfortable beds, clean kitchen. Very cute little house.

Cute place–needs a few small repairs

Super convenient location for what I needed. We enjoyed a quiet stay and felt safe. The house has obviously had a major overhaul, and they did a lovely job with design! I did inform ownership of some minor repairs needed, but otherwise, we were comfortable.

Our stay was good and the management was very responsive. We didn't have enough towels or a bathmat, and when I let the management know, they brought more towels and a bathmat to the place, which we greatly appreciated. The home is very centrally located and close to downtown. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Also a good place to park a car that is shaded and has a gate. TV was very big and lots of options. For a 5 star rating, it would be nice if the kitchen were better stocked with good coffee (not Maxwell House), and the basics (salt, pepper, oil, sugar). Also the yard needs some attention. There were construction left overs in the back yard and no place to sit. Otherwise a very nice spot.

Oleander stay

It was a great place and great location to some food hot spots as well UT campus. Minor note if you are prepping your own food the dishes pots and pans are much better than other airbnbs I have stayed at. The TV had all the streaming services which was awesome. If I am in Austin again I would gladly rebook!
