About Carol MacLeod
I was raised in Arkansas a few miles from where this house sits. I love the flowers in the spring time, the hot summers on or near the lake and the beautiful fall colors as the leaves change.
Carol MacLeod purchased this House in 2015
Why Carol MacLeod chose Rogers
Before Beaver Lake was built on the White River, my grandparents owned a farm along the creek near Monte Ne. My dad and his siblings were raised there. In the early sixties, Beaver Dam was built on the White River near Eureka Springs and the valley filled with water. The lake buried Monte Ne and surrounding areas. This house was built on a piece of my dad's home place that remained above water. It is a great gathering place for families and friends. I hope you can make great memories here.
What makes this House unique
When I walked into this house for the first time, I loved it immediately. The large windows on the east side of the kitchen area and in the walk-out basement let in the morning sun. The large deck on the east and the screened in porch on the back of the house are two of my favorite places. The walk-out basement is perfect for watching movies and hanging out. I love the big yard around the house and all the trees with the deer and wildlife.

Very nice home, especially for the price!
Home is ideal for 2 families of 3 or 4 to share.
Better than photos
We so enjoyed our stay at this home. Very comfortable furnishings and beds and we loved the screened in porch where we spent every morning enjoying coffee. It was a great value for the money and we hope to stay here again in the future. We didn't even miss the lake view at all! Thanks Carole for making everything from the beginning to end so easy and effortless!
Thank you for the nice review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and I look forward to hosting you again in the future!!
Beautiful house. Lots of privacy. Had everything we needed.
Wonderful vacation spot
We had a wonderful time! Great place to stay. The scenery was great and the accommodations were as good as expected. The owner is very pleasant to work with. Overall it is a wonderful place to stay!
Everything was fabulous! Extremely well maintained and very clean.
Beautiful setting and immaculate house. We shared the house with another couple so we could visit our daughters attending the University of Arkansas. So much better than a chain hotel room for basically the same price. I honestly can not think of any suggestions for improvement. Thanks!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come again.
