Our 1-bedroom suite is a privately-owned unit inside the Royal Garden at Waikiki. This suite has 751 square feet of living space and comes with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Why stay in a small hotel room when you can have ample space to relax and have the comforts of home?

The bedroom has a 1 California King bed and an ottoman that opens up to a twin bed. The living room has a futon sofa bed and two additional twin beds so this suite can comfortably accommodate 6 guests. It has floor-to-ceiling windows so you can have unobstructed views of the water, mountains, and city lights. Enjoy the cool ocean breezes or watch the canoe races on the Ala Wai Canal from the terrace.

Wake up and cook breakfast in the kitchen or savor a delicious breakfast at one of the many restaurants close by, then take a leisurely stroll to the world-famous Waikiki Beach where you can take surf lessons, watch a hula performance, or just lay out and sunbathe on the beach. Along the way you will pass the Waikiki Strip and encounter dozens of world-class shops, eateries, and entertainment. There are also plenty of small shops where you can pick up unique souvenirs. With all the sights and sounds to take in, walking the Waikiki Strip could easily be a full day's excursion!

Everything is within walking distance, but if you choose to venture out farther there are major bus and trolley lines half a block away from the property. If shopping is your thrill, the island's biggest mall (Ala Moana Shopping Center) is only a mile away. The Hawaii Convention Center is less than a mile away, and Hawaii's historical sites like Iolani Palace, Chinatown, and Downtown Honolulu are less than 4 miles away.

Great location, property looks great and in a nice building. Only issue we had was not with the property, rather that parking in the area is scarce. If you plan on renting a car, expect to either pay or hunt down free parking.

Great Location

Location is great and so are amenities. Apartment has a strange bathroom layout. A few things in the apartment were in disrepair, but it's a nice place.

Peace, serenity, and beauty.

An ideal location - safe, quiet, and walkable. Away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Only steps away from the Ala Wai canal. Window walls provided beautiful sunrises and gorgeous evening skies.Enough space to accommodate four adults easily.It was nice to have a kitchen to cook family dinners. Free access to the laundry room, gym, and rec room. The Zen garden was a plus. Bed mattresses were of good quality.

Heart of Waikiki

It was our first visit to Oahu, and wanted to be close to the beach and restaurants. We loved how everything was within walking distance from the unit to shopping, restaurants and Waikiki beach! Our stay was comfortable and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Our kids loved going to the pool and the laundry room access was great! Would love to stay again!

Nice way to vacation

Condo is exactly as pictured and the building is much nicer than Banyan. Pool is basic, no frills, but heated to 86 degrees and great for taking an evening dip. Host was prompt in responding and was even kind enough to extend our check out time, Thanks again Hazel 😊 A/C was excellent and wifi fast…..will definitely stay again in future 👍👍

Just right

Our family of 6 needed a place we could all stay in without paying for multiple rooms at a hotel with soaring prices. This apartment was just right. It had enough beds, as well as a kitchen, which we used to prepare a few of our own meals, allowing us to be more cost-effective! The staff at the desk in the lobby were so helpful in recommending where to park or go along Waikiki. My only complaint is the window looking into the bathroom from the bedroom. We just covered it with a towel, so we could still have privacy while in the bathroom. Communication with the owner was easy-peasy, fast and smooth using the VRBO app. Thank you for helping make our trip comfortable!

January 2023 Parents bucket list

The facility was top notch, though there was no parking, except $40/day valet. They were very prompt, however. We arrived 2 1/2 days late due to weather, no fault of our own and we contacted the owner to perhaps work out some compromise on price. He would not budge, not a care in the world about us. We took our parents on this trip for their bucket list. The room was not what we imagined from the pics. Dishes had food caked up on them. Wash clothes were old and ragged looking. Towels did not smell fresh. The bedroom was separate from the living room by glass doors, in which the curtains didn’t even cover up the windows. The only bathroom was in the bedroom with Louvered doors. No privacy. The shower and bath tub were rusted and outdated. We ended up paying for a second room to actually accommodate our needs. There were good points… the view was spectacular with sunrise view near partial view of Diamond head and partial ocean. It was within extended walking distance of great shopping and eats and beach. The staff was marvelous. And the Wyndham facility was appealing to the eye. They did have a pool and sauna which we really didn’t have time to use due to our delay. In general, if the owner just worked with us a little bit, if everything had been clean, and if you only have 2 people in your party then this could be 4 star stay. This was as honest as they come, no spite, just honest feedback… Happy Travels

Family vacation

We were able to have our own space in-between family get togethers with those that live on Oahu. Location was convenient for lots of activities. Amenities were fitting to our needs. Onsite staff were very friendly and professional.

Spacious and clean!

Such a great place for our family to spend a week! Love to have the space and all the bedding for all of us! A plus to have items to bring to the beach as well! Would definitely stay here again!

Mini Home away from home

Excellent experience throughout our stay. It helps to read prior reviews to know what to expect when booking a room like this. For example, there is a window in the bedroom that can view someone in the bathroom. We just placed a towel to cover it up when someone was in the bathroom. Also, it’s a courtesy for the valet guys to lend you a bellhop cart for your luggage. Make sure to tip them and they will be more than willing to lend you the cart. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and the host was graciously flexible with our departure time. Definitely recommend this host and this unit. Thank you!

All in all a good stay

We stayed 12/14-12/24, 2021. The property was fine. We did not have a working hot shower until the second day but they were quick to respond. The pros: good location easy walking distance to the beach, shopping and a number of good restaurants. We were only a party of three so the size of the unit was perfect. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to eat in. Full size refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker with filters already there and a toaster too. The beds were all very comfortable. Laundry was a great thing too. Just need to bring your own detergent. The cons: the carpet was absolutely filthy. If I had a young one crawling around, I would not select this unit until they clean the carpets. I was told they would be replacing with linoleum after the travel season. Valet parking was pricey and a pain. However, the valet people were great for the most part. The other big issue for me was since this is a privately owned unit in a Wyndam time share I always felt like a second-class citizen. I asked to use a pool towel and was told no. The unit does have towels to take to the beach but they aren't really nice. I would suggest the owner do a few minor things to enhance the unit such as: clean shower matt, soap holder in the shower. Overall, the stay was a good one. This wasn't my first choice, but it worked for us minus the few things I mentioned above.

Rental was spacious and for the most part clean. Could use a little maintenance on a couple minor things (patio door lock, couple of loose cabinet doors). But overall it had everything we needed! And it was in a great location...easy walk to the beach or shopping. Would stay in this unit again.

Royal Garden

From the time we arrived-we we’re amazed from check in to arriving to our unit. We were impressed by the size of the unit to the amenities provided. Being several years since we were back in Honolulu, Hawaii. The accommodations made us feel like we were at our own home. Love this place and would rate it a 10+ if I could!

This apartment provided a lot of cutlery and cookwares for a small kitchenette. Great for family of 2 Adults n 2 children or 4 singles person. If you have 2 couple I found it very uncomfortable in and out the bathroom, because the ensuite is in the main room, you have to go thru the room to access the bathroom... The Sofa bed very old and the linen sheet covered the Sofa bed very very old, We couldn't sleep with that old sheet.. I was thinking the sheet doesn't cost much, it need to change regularly so your guest could feel more comfortable sleeping on it... The sofa already rundown, then when we open out the bed we were more disappointed. Thankyou for your attention

Spacious condo with a view

Loved staying here. At 700+sqft this was by far the largest suite we found. The view from the lanai though faces the concrete jungle has a decent glimpse of the Ala wai canal and the ocean on either sides. Nice breeze courtesy the 23rd floor height. Location was good too - 10 min walk from the nearest beach and 10 mins from all the shopping on Kalakaua. The kitchen was small but adequate. Bathrooms and fixtures were recently renovated and looked nice and clean. Parking was a bit tight, but its the same in the neighborhood. Consider the valet parking 'resort fee' that you would see elsewhere. Highly recommend to stay

I love this condo! Just about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Public transportation near by. Easy check-in/out. Kitchen has everything needed to cook if desired. However kitchen faucet is loose needs repair. Was not provided with the key card access to the fitness center/laundry room but we did not need it. Sofa bed matress needs to be changed. As close to paradise as it gets

This is our third stay at this condo and we are loving every aspect of it -- the location, the property, the service. The property is spacious, bright and very well-maintained. It’s nicely decorated. It is also quiet – you don’t get disturbed by the street noise or neighbors (there are only 5 or 6 other condos on the floor). The bedroom is magnificent. It’s so large, it feels like a ballroom. The king bed is super comfortable and the linen is clean. The bathroom is luxurious and has a bathtub, a separate shower, and a lavish makeup vanity that’s all yours, ladies. The morning sun coming through the floor-to-ceiling-wall-to-wall humongous windows will gently welcome you to the day. A 10-15 min walk through a wonderful Fort DeRussy Park will take you to the beach. We love to swim and this beach is for us. It’s not as busy as other Waikiki beaches and doesn’t have lifeguards, but that was fine by us. The part we liked a lot is that the route to the beach goes through a very nice park as opposed to a busy street with shops, cars, and eateries. We didn’t see a single homeless person there – and there are plenty of them on the other side of Waikiki (Kuhio Beach Park area). Each room has its own air-conditioning unit, which is very convenient. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances and dishes you need. The fridge is large. The condo is in the Wyndham condo-hotel. You get welcomed by friendly stuff every day. The check-in is simple. You sign the form with the security guard, get the wifi codes and the gym/laundry room keys, and that’s it. The numeric key to the condo is provided in advance. Every time you return, you are greeted by the concierge who opens a door for you. They’ll be also happy to help you out with luggage/groceries. The gym is small but is never busy, it has enough equipment to keep us busy. It also has a tv, a sound station, and a water cooler. All in all, this is a great place! We are grateful to the owner, to the property management company and the Wyndham personnel for making our stays so enjoyable! We are already planning our next one.
