This condo includes internet access, as well as bath and kitchen towels provided for your comfort. During your stay, you’ll have
access to a fantastic selection of on-site amenities, including a heated pool, two lighted tennis courts, a BBQ grilling area, shuffleboard, exercise rooms, saunas, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Guests will also enjoy complimentary beach service (March–October), which includes two chairs and an umbrella set up for you daily on the beach. A convenient towel-exchange
laundry service is available during your stay—simply check with the front desk for scheduled days.

The kitchen has peeling paint on cupboards, bathrooms needed updating but the worst part was what looked like black mold on the ceiling of bedroom 2 and the kitchen. My daughter’s condo was so nice! Lovely views!

Staff was Great but...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked this without realizing there was no washer and dryer inside our condo. There are 2 laundry rooms in the building, so u think okay, no big deal.. Well if your lucky enough to get a working dryer! None of the washers or dryers have been maintenanced in who knows how long, the amount of gunk inside the washers, and the amount of lint and rust inside the dryers is insane. If you put quarters in they get released back to you. If you actually get the machine to take all the quarters then it doesn't even dry your clothes in the paid time, so you have to put more money in and either sit there for 2hrs till the stuff dries or go back and forth to check them. If you use your debit card, it declines every time but then still puts a hold on your account. The maintenance guy was nice enough to put our towels in the maids dryer to get them dry to get us through one last beach day. He was amazing! And the front desk ladies are so nice, but other than that, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you do not plan on needing to wash things while you are there, and have those beach towels that dry on their own really fast or bring enough towels to where you do not have to reuse them. The amount you pay a night, the laundry facility should be free or at least maintenanced and cleaned frequently. From what we were told by several staff, the company that owns the machines comes to collect the money and leaves...

Needs lots and lots of updating and deep clean and repairs

Needs lots and lots of updating and repairs. Looked like this was the only one that did not have the windows and doors updated. Inside was also very outdated. The ice maker did not work, they tried to fix but could not and had to send up ice bags. Fridge and freezer doors were broke and three of us hit our heads on the doors because they were broken and did not work. Also the shelf bracket on the fridge door was previous glued and came apart. Property was very dirty it seemed that no one has dusted in many months. Floor was very dirty. Chaise chair on balcony was ripped and no one could use it without falling thru it. Had surge protectors with wires all over very bad safety hazard for children which we had a two year old and 9 year old. Lamps looked liked they were all self wired not sure if they are just that old but definitely a safety hazard. Multiple outlets sparked when items were plugged in. Garbage disposal did not work they had to come up and change the electrical switch. Air conditioner vents had mold around each vent. Ceiling in master bath had large cracks in tub area. I have seen other condos in the complex and did not see any with these issues.

Our Week at the Holiday Surf and Raquet Club

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lot of issues with the room 317 we stayed in at the Holiday Surf Raquet Club. The refrigerator did not get cold when we arrived there, causing a lot of the fresh and frozen foods we purchased to spoil. The microwave sparked and crackled the first time we used it, preventing us from using it the majority of our stay. The DVD player did not work and would freeze no matter which movie we tried. The master bed creaked and squeaked even when barely moving. It took several days to get these problems addressed, despite mentioning it several times at the front desk. I would like to say that I would return and give you guys a second chance, but I highly doubt it.

Condo needs updating

We enjoyed the property, but the condo had tiny bathrooms, a really cheap door from the master bedroom to the balcony (worn and unsightly), and a small, awkward kitchen. The stove didn’t work either, so no cooking in the room, except for the microwave. For the price we paid, I expected more. The view was nice, but the noise from the pool limited our enjoyment of the balcony. The closets and storage areas contained too many items that were no longer usable…kind of junky.

Needless to say, Unit 317 could use a facelift. We have stayed at Holiday Surf and Racquet Club for decades and love it, but this was one of the saddest units we have ever stayed in.

The vacation rental is not high quality. Many issues were reported on the first day. The floors are dirty and sticky. The linens are stained with blood. The curtain over the sliding door is falling off. The bathroom has mold growing over the vent. There are water stains on the ceiling with the spackle failing off. In addition, I know that they had just sprayed but there were bugs on the floor in the bathroom. I have used this resort previously with newly remodeled rooms. This is definitely not a good choice. If I had not paid in advance I would have moved locations. Very disappointing. Was the vacation rental management staff helpful?

Reviewer Comments: We lived the beach experience with the short walk to the beach and chair/umbrella service. The apartment had a few upgrades but generally was well worn. Many areas hadn't been touched in a long time and the workmanship was marginal. There was also no washer/dryer in the unit (consistent with the listing). If we would stay in HSRC afain, we would need to be assured of a much nicer unit. Pictures can be deceiving.

All you do is exit the lobby and cross over the small bridge which makes it easy when you have small children. I did not like that the electrical outlets in the second bedroom would not make the proper connections to anything that was being plugged in. The iron would turn off because the chord would come loose. The cell phone would not charge properly, etc. The guest bathroom light fixture had only one light bulb working and any time you Would turn off the light, the non working light would flicker off. Other than that, we enjoyed the condo very much.

Family beach trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rentals here at holiday surf are great. Been coming for over 20 years and will continue. My only complaint is the smoking policy. We used to be able to smoke on balconies and have coffe in the am and wine in the pm. It is completely wrong that this has been taken away and we find that we could just pitch a tent in the grilling area to be able to smoke and socialize. We pay the weekly rental just as non smokers do but are treated unfairly for something we choose to do. We do NOT and have NEVER smoked in the condos but feel we should be able to on the balconies given the fact that there are absolutely NO covered smoking area. Please please change the policy as it used to be!!!! Also toto be thrown into the back row ON the beach??? Why do non smokers have all the rights????? Put THEM on the back row!!! Talk about discrimination!

Loved the location, would not stay in 317

Reviewer Comments: The staff was great, loved how close we were to the beach and the beach views. The room was below average. Place smelled musty like no one had been there in years, toilets were old, countertop stained, cabinets old and dirty, bathrooms outdated and dirty. I'd come back to the Surf & Racquet Club but not room 317. It needs a lot of attention. Wish I would have known the condition when booking, pictures are deceiving. And it should say there is a screen on the balcony, that was disappointing.
