In the Black Hills of South Dakota, this new log cabin is located four miles west of Lead on a private road leading to a meadow. The cabin sets on 7.8 acres with plenty of room to roam, park snowmobiles and a camper or two.
The interior of the cabin is log and sheetrock. Tongue-and-groove knotty pine enhance the cathedral ceilings. The cabin has a loft with two queen beds and a bathroom. Downstairs has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with bunkbeds), full bath, laundry room, open kitchen, and living room. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper. The cabin has a front and back deck equipped with a gas grill. Air conditioned and has a new dishwasher.
The cabin is also located in a snowmobile trail (#5) and is close to Deer Mountain and Tery Peak Ski Resorts. There is room to roam for nature walks, do some hiking, and watch the many deer that frequent the area.
Wedding party events will be based on an individual basis and is subject to higher fees.

We just returned from a very enjoyable weekend in the Hills. The weather was great for skiing and we truly enjoyed staying at your cabin. Thank you so much for sharing it with us and we look forward to staying there again.

We stayed for 2 nights with a group of 10. The house was perfect! Close to the ski resort and all the amenities that we needed. Clean and well stocked.
We stayed for 5 nights with two couples. Great place with wildlife to look at! A few miles out from Lead in the country. Good place to stay and ride to all the attractions! Close to Spearfish Canyon, one of my favorite places to ride!
This is the best little secluded hideaway in the Black Hills - without exception.
The cabin has everything a family/small group needs, and it is CLEAN and WELL-MAINTAINED. Every year the owners add something new to the cabin to make our experience there even better than before. They appreciate us as guests, and we appreciate them!
Sunrise over the quiet meadow is just like the photo - and then the wildlife starts to show up. This summer we watched a doe stand up and wait for her newborn, twin fawns to stumble to their feet and follow her into the trees. And all this happens within easy access and convenience to the many attractions of the Hills!
Whether close-by, or on a day-trip adventure, there are all kinds of fun things to do and places to go - for children and/or adults. Keep your camera handy. And don't miss The Great Faces (aka Mount Rushmore)!
If you want a break from using the cabin's awesome kitchen, there's a great burger and a pint; buttermilk pancakes or an Indian taco; or a trout dinner to be found at Lewie's, Cheyenne Crossing Cafe, or the Latchstring Inn respectively - all of which boast national acclaim. Our whole family, including the kids, has personal favorites at all three.
We have stayed at this cabin several times. I guess it is obvious why 'the cabin' is our favorite place for making memories with our family.
Our family of 7 had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. It was clean, quiet and had lots of room for us. We enjoyed walks and seeing wildlife. We were also very close to Lead and Deadwood.
The quiet and cozy cabin was lovely and comfortable. Our party included four adults and four children, and everyone had space to rest. The setting was peaceful, and we were able to do everything our agenda from this location. As a side note, we ate out at the Round House and it was excellent. We would highly recommend this cabin, and hope to return for another visit in the future!
This cabin is near perfect. Very clean and roomy with an excellent location. Wish it had a dishwasher and fireplace but that won't stop us from renting it again. Comfortably sleeps 8, 10 might be a little tight. Excellent value!
