amazing stay, view, and condo
Loved our stay- the condo was spacious, amazing view and very convenient location.
Great place to stay in Waikiki
We had a 2 bedroom room with a sofa bed in the lounge for our 3 adults and 2 children stay. The place worked well, and was well equipped. You could easily call for any additional supplies. Having a laundry down the hall was good. Staff were friendly. We stayed for a week so had one service in the middle of that stay. The fridge and freezer were large and we could easily cook in the kitchen for the kids and have fresh fruit and veg at our disposal. The view from the room (lagoon view) was stunning and having a wee deck was nice. That said, our room was above the big lawn and also looked back at the space used for the luaus and we had a number of functions and weddings below us, so that was a bit noisy at times. The place is crazy busy. No-one told us that we needed to go to the lagoon building to check in so we wasted just under an hour queuing in the hotel queue. Others we know who stayed at the hotel also said the checkin queue was far too long and just unacceptable. We used the carpark which was handy for a few days. Restaurants around are really expensive and we wouldn't eat at any of the Hilton restaurants again as you can get much better quality meals at better prices outside the hotel. Having the ABC store onsite was useful, but again was higher priced than other stores not in the village. The pools and lagoons were great, but there is little shade (unless you pay for an umbrella) and all of the chairs get towels on them very early yet people don't really seem to use them. The resort does their best to try to manage this, but it's not enough. Expensive to hire chairs and umbrellas at the lagoon - and boats etc. All very expensive. The village is ridiculously busy, but we didn't mind it too much as we spent a bit of time exploring the wider Oahu Island where there were great beaches and it was nice to get away from the crowded resort. We would probably stay here again, as the location to the main elements like shopping (Ala Moana, Royal Hawaiian) and main strip for eateries was great. Rental agents were excellent - great to deal with and very helpful. Would def use them again.
Although we did not get the room that the realty agency told us we were getting, we got one that was comparable. Actually, 2 separate condos with a door between them. Worked out fine for us as we also had a sofa bed which was very comfortable. Great location, wonderful view. Refilled everything on request. Since we were there for a week, we had maid service in the middle of the week. Staff were all so friendly and actually acted liked they enjoyed serving you.
This amazing Hilton complex boasts a 5,000 square foot aquatic playground, hosting Waikiki's longest water slide. The Duke Kahanamoku salt-water Lagoon is a spectacular oasis amidst this resort. There is a two-tiered heated, freshwater swimming pool, four slides including a 77-foot lava tube slide, three waterfalls and two heated spas.
