Terrific fully restored two bedroom cottage in a fantastic central Austin location. Tons of light and charm. Great outdoor space. Very much an 'old Austin' vibe.

Excellent location in very high demand Clarksville area. Five minutes to downtown, 6th Street, Town Lake. 1 block to great restaurants, grocery, coffee.

Blazing fast with and direct ethernet (up to 1 gig service)

PLEASE ASK about longer term rates. Rates for March/October are much higher because of SXSW and ACL and F1 but if you are seeking longer term rental the rates may be lower.

Terrific little cottage. Tons of light. Quality, eclectic furnishings (including custom made reclaimed cedar living room furniture and kitchen cabinets).

Nice outdoor space.

Two large sunny bedrooms, each with a queen size bed.

Very walkable, friendly area. 1 block to grocery, coffee, great restaurants, grocery. Historic charming neighborhood.

High speed Level 2 electric vehicle charger in private drive (not shared with anyone else). J1772 universal compatibility - if you have a Tesla just bring your adapter).

Very friendly neighborhood. Walk to terrific restaurants and grocery and coffee. Fresh Plus Grocery, Medici Coffee and great restaurants a block away on West Lynn. Five minutes to downtown. Tons more destination restaurants and nightlife in the Clarksville neighborhod itself.

Yes. Bus line is one block away.

Uber is very easy to get here. In usually under five minutes.

Fantastic neighborhood in excellent central downtown location. Locally-owned (not a giant corporation). Austin is a boomtown and is undergoing unprecedented growth. You may hear construction going on in the neighborhood (generally restricted to reasonable daytime weekday hours but that's not a guarantee), there may be road closures for festivals, races, etc. Thank you for considering us.

If you are bringing pets please let us know detail about the pets prior to a booking request (number of pets, etc). Please also let us know info about who is coming (number of people, bedding arrangements needed, etc).

This cottage has brand new central air but during very hot periods such as when the temperature is over 100 the cottage will not cool into the 60s during the heat of the day. If this is your expectation please do not book this property. A temp of around 72 in the daytime if heats are over 100 is a more realistic expectation.

Amazing house and location

My son and I had a great time. We stayed for 8 days, and this place was perfect. We walked to dinner to the two restaurants the host recommended and they we excellent. The host has great communication, and we never had to question anything about our stay. WiFi was fast and the TV had every channel you might need.

Perfect location, wonderful house!

We would rent this house again. Location, space, furnishings, and comfortable. This place had everything we needed for a wonderful long weekend and reunion. We could walk to restaurants, easy access to all Austin has to offer, and parking at the house. We will be back and hopefully for a extended stay!

Everything was wonderful! Loved the house it reminded me of my grandparents old house. The location was great— convenient to everything. Even when driving around from the location, traffic was very manageable. Lots of cute homes in the neighborhood to see when walking or driving, & local eateries are only a block away. We met some neighbors while walking, they were very friendly & helpful with tips of places to eat & visit. Would definitely book again!

Quaint area, cute house. Very clean and well-cared for. A couple of restaurants within walking distance which was nice. Parking is a challenge with the number of cars that park on the street behind the driveway. House was a little hot and humid for April - can't imagine what the summer would be like.

Southern charm

We were so fortunate to stumble upon this listing! Charming, practical, functional and full of character, this cottage was exactly as described, but so much more. Such a sweet gem amongst this beautiful neighborhood. From morning walks through the pneumonal neighborhood, to walking to a local bar for a night cap, we were truly smitten. The host was beyond helpful and informative with the surrounding area and suggestions of places to go. Austin is always such a great experience for us. Unbeknownst to us, it was exactly what we needed to for our trip.

Awesome place and location!

This is an amazing little cottage. I emailed the owner at 4am and in that morning at 10. I stayed there for about a week, enjoying the great little local restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. Very quiet and comfortable. A couple of visits from some friendly nearby chickens made my mornings. Clean and well-stocked. Washer and dryer is in a little room right outside the door, which no one else was using durin my stay. I actually extended my stay twice, and Brian was very accommodating. Great and fast communication. Easy in and out. Highly recommend!! Family owned and run by a veteran. :)

Good spot to do Austin

Me and my friends travel to Austin a lot. Usually we stay with other friends but this time we stayed at this little house in Clarksville. The owner needs to hire a pro photographer because it's a lot nicer than his pictures show. Just a super charming place. The WIFI was blazing fast which was nice. You can be anywhere in central Austin in ten minutes or so. The neighbors were very Austin - sortof rich old hippies mostly. Very laid back. Got invited to a drum circle but it was the day after we left. I was surprised at how much light the cottage gets. Tons of windows. Morning coffee on the porch was great. Evening drinks on the patio out back were even better. Everything you need is there - towels, blankets, soaps, and such. There are three houses on this huge corner lot. The owner does a top job of landscaping. Really beautiful stuff and gave the whole place a really nice feel. I'd stay here again definitely. Good for I'd say three people tops. Many more may feel cramped, but then I'm coming from a massive house in the suburbs so anything downtown like this may feel that way for me. Great places to eat a block away. But whoa - $140 for a steak at Jeffreys? That's crazy. But luckily everything else is reasonably priced. The Italian cafe was the best - not your Mom's Italian - very trendy - but really really good. And not bad priced for what you get.

Cozy Cottage -- Quiet respite

This neighborhood is FUN! It is quiet at night, but mere blocks to several restaurants (Galaxy Cafe, Jeffrey's, Josephine House, Taco Flats, Nau's Drug Store counter), drug store, coffee shop (Medici), grocery store & dry cleaner! ;) And EASY access to MoPac Hwy! The cottage was supplied with everything we needed for our stay (long weekend). Beds were comfortable, towels thirsty, hair dryer (it was COLD this weekend!), even Keurig cups for the coffee maker & sparkling waters in the fridge! Cute front porch AND nice little area in back to sip our coffee. There's a washer & dryer in shed attached to house, but I was on vacation, so that wasn't used. :P Also, very important to us, our pup was WELCOMED and loved it there, as well. He made MANY new friends walking around the neighborhood -- and there's a GREAT dog park not too far away.

Charming is right!

Beautiful property close to Zilker Park!

We ended up staying in the studio for our 3 night stay but the cottage was quaint, quiet, and beautiful. The owner, Brian, was extremely accommodating and helpful with local recommendations. The location is perfect- very close to Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park, and Lake Austin. We will definitely be staying here again!

A charmer with an exceptionally comfortable bed

A quiet porch to a perfectly decorated interior with bedrooms ceilings I wanted to steal for my own house. What better weekend that Eeyore's Birthday! And we could walk there! Plenty of room for the 3 of us to enjoy the weekend and get out and see the sights. Less than $15 for a ride Austin to East 6th street, convenient to downtown. Definitely a place we'll be visiting again. Owner is amazing too, responsive and there is lots of great information provided to read about and learn about Austin. Special note, without a car we were able to walk less than 3 blocks to the grocery store and just carry back everything we needed.
