House was cute and matched description on listing. Unfortunately the hot tub was not heating up during our stay which was a let down as that was one of the main reasons for booking this house.

Run down, several health hazards, horrible lighting (way too dark)....bed was hard, pillows were flat and bad quality...Asked for someone to come help with the hot tub / jacuzzi but no one showed.Overall a very unpleasant experience....My wife tripped and feel due to uneven flooring on outside balcony and management didn't even care.My suggestion....look for any other place other than this one.

The property was beautiful and well setup..light in dining room wouldn't turn on and alot of dead spiders and bugs under dining table but overall would definitely rent again.

This was a great little getaway cabin for a weekend in the hill country with my boyfriend. Great space and beautiful setting! It was perfect. A few things I noted is that the listing shows this as a 2 bed/2 bath but the upstairs bed/bath were locked off. Not an issue for us during our stay but something worth noting if someone would like to use both bedrooms/bathrooms. Also, there was a truck parked in the driveway when we arrived and was there the whole stay.

Great House

We had an awesome time! It was weird to have no shower curtain or glass, and the house was not stocked with any toiletries, coffee, or trash bags. Minor inconveniences, but inconveniences none the less.

This was the perfect short getaway for us. The cabin was lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. Also some great restaurants were with 10 -15 minute drive.

Unexpected

The cabin itself was a unique concept which under better conditions could have been an excellent stay. The positive part of it was a quiet location, easy to find. The negative part was, it was very dirty. They had so much dust, that when my husband tapped the cushion on the chairs there was so much dust I thought I was in the Munsters House. The second part which was the worst was the infestation of daddy long leg spiders. There were so many dead and live spiders. We could not sleep in the bed because there were spiders crawling all over the bed. We decided to sleep on the sofa, but unfortunately they got on that as well, so we had to go sleep in our truck and we end up not staying the second night. The shower flows over , so that it keeps the bathroom floor all wet. The owners keep a truck park there which causes a problem for parking because there is just not enough room. They had a leak in the kitchen roof which dropped down on your head when you were trying to wash dishes. The stove did not have burner pan so that when you cooked the pots would move all over the place. IThis place could be a great place to stay if it would just be cleaned and these issues fixed. As for now , We would not stay here again.

Wonderful stay

It was such a wonderful experience. It was so excluded but at the same time not a far drive for groceries or gas. The cabin itself was so nice, very cozy and welcoming. The hot tub was a personal favorite, especially to star gaze at night. We drove into San Marcos for some good food and shopping. Totally worth it. Overall, the cabin exceeded expectations and the whole trip is a magical experience we will have for a lifetime. We will be back. Thank you!"

This cabon was perfect for a weekend reset from everyday life. It was very quiet with all the amenities. The hot tub was perfect with the warm cabin!

Cozy private cabin

Quite spot tucked away in the hill country. We enjoyed our stay there. There were a few bees that got into the cabin somehow since we had the doors and windows closed all time. We just leave them be and they die by the window sill.

Great cabin in a nice location, but there were issues

First of all, I want to say we really did like the place - it was great for a cozy weekend eating and drinking and catching up with friends. But the lack of hot water was a problem when the temperature didn’t get out of the 40s! Leaving aside that the dishwasher couldn’t really do much with only cold water, it came as a surprise when we tried to take showers after getting out of the lovely hot tub. We would have rented elsewhere had we known. There were a couple of crushed daddy longlegs around the place too, but we just called it “rustic” and ignored them, otherwise there wasn’t any glaring issues with the cleanliness.

Cute property but with issues

The property is cute and as described. However the spa took over 24 hours to reach 100 degrees and be able to use. Management responded promptly but was unable to fix the problem. We also killed about 10 red wasps INSIDE the house, including in the bedroom. Management supposedly sent someone out to fix the problem while we were out but we continued to kill bees in the house after that. They were swarming all around the eaves of the house. The beds are extremely firm and we felt like we were sleeping on concrete slabs.

It was good

Some good and some bad things. There was a lot of long leg spiders in the downstair bedroom. The hot tub didn't work though because it wasn't hot and it smelled heavy of chlorine. We were looking forward to it. At least there was stars and the moon was very bright. Overall it was an ok stay and location was quiet so that was a plus.

Romantic Private Cabin Getaway

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay in this charming rustic-style cabin. The lot is rather private in the midst of the neighborhood. Clean, comfortable, quiet, roomy yet cozy. We'll definitely come again!

Wonderful

We had a wonderful relaxing time. You can’t see your neighbors when you’re at the house. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. It’s wonderful. I go running in the morning, and the hills are killer! But I saw so many deer each morning. We could sit on the balcony each morning and watch deer walk the property. You are close to Fredricksberg, Wimberly, and San Marcos. We visited all 3! This will be our permanent stay whenever we visit the area again. AND it’s a smart house! Pretty cool!

Refund please!

Toilet STILL broken, even though apparently it’s been broken for months yet is still advertised as a two bathroom. Which is false advertising. I specifically asked management if the hot tub would be hot, they said yes. Well, it was not hot and took one whole day and all night to become semi warm. So, we only got to use it once for about ten minutes on the second night of our stay. We also slept on the sofa because there were so many daddy long leg spiders in the bedroom, and ON the bed, that there was no way in heck I was going to sleep in there. The cabin was dirty. There were spiders and bugs everywhere inside. The bedroom lamp wasn’t working. The bathroom drain allows all sorts of bugs to come in, so we had cockroaches in the bathroom, and more spiders! Also, the lights outside on the deck don’t all work, and it was extremely hard to see at night or enjoy being outside without tripping. There is no fire pit, it is completely rusted out and unusable. I was extremely disappointed. And I plan on calling to demand a refund very soon. This place is not maintained at all. Trash outside everywhere. Just a horrible experience overall. I have 8 huge welps from bug bites that happened while I was asleep, and my husband cut his leg on the trash can door which just falls straight out when you open it. Beware!
