Texas Star Condo, Hill Country/Canyon Lake Retreat

Stay at our "Texas Star" condo on your next visit to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Our condo is located just a block from gorgeous Canyon Lake and just minutes from Guadalupe river access. The towns of Wimberly, San Marcos, Gruene and New Braunfels, are easily accessible for day trips or for dining.
Our recently updated one bedroom, one bath condo with a patio view of the lake, is a couple's retreat, furnished and scrupulously maintained to make your stay comfortable.

The space:
You will feel right at home in our cozy condo. It is furnished with a leather reclining sofa, fireplace, a large flat-screen TV, cable and WiFi, full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, range and coffee service. The dining area seats four comfortably. The bedroom has a flat screen TV and a queen bed with a quality mattress for a comfortable night's rest.

Guest access:
Swimming pool, outdoor grill, picnic tables and laundry room on site for condo guests. Also, boat/trailer parking available - first come first serve.

Other things to note:
Though condo is on the ground level, access to and from the parking lot is by a half-flight of stairs.

What a great place. Very quiet neighborhood with crazy, awesome wildlife especially at night. From coyotes, foxes, and lots of deer to kitty cats and turkey vultures. I didn’t have a car. Walking to the stores was almost a mile each way but a nice flat walk. Loretta is very communicative and a great host with a nice comfy home.

Always fun in the hill country of texas

Nice central location to San Marcos, Wimberley, New Braunfels, and Fredericksburgs. After long days of hiking and shopping the place was perfect to come back to unwind, grab a bite at one of many local establishments and sit out on the patio. Would stay again!

This was a beautiful place and very very nice!! Getting entry information was very difficult. I think it was more of an Expedia and vrbo issue. We were on the phone with Expedia and vrbo for almost 2 hours to get the door code. The owner sent it right away after Expedia or vrbo contacted her. So the time was really an Expedia and vrbo issue. I think the two recently merged and are not working well together. Our welcome letter could have had the info.

Really enjoyed this place. When we pulled up we were greeted by several deer. They came by every morning and evening. The condo was super clean and well decorated. This is an end unit which is nice. You only have a neighbor on one side and it is right at the bottom of the stairs.

We have raised 4 kids and have 7 grandchildren. We enjoy traveling and really enjoy staying at interesting properties rather than the usual hotels. When our kids were young, we came to the Canyon Lake/New Braunfels area quite often. We would take tubes or a raft down the river, go to Schlitterbahn, walk across the Canyon Lake dam, and just overall enjoy the beauty of the area.

Why they chose this property

This is a great area to enjoy the outdoors - kayaking, boating, river rafting, hiking. Live music in the summer at Whitewater Ampitheatre just a few miles away. Try the zip line in Wimberly, Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, shopping or wine tasting in historic Gruene or catch a show at Gruene Hall. All of these are about a 20 minute drive away. San Antonio is only about 45 minutes away where you can see the Alamo or take a stroll down the Riverwalk.

What makes this property unique

Our place has everything you need to make you feel at home after enjoying the great activities in the area. It is perfect for a couple's get-away or for families with one or two kids. We have a swimming pool on site, free parking including a few spaces large enough for boats or RV's. Relax in the evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine and enjoy the lake view or feed the deer that come around most evenings.
