A Gem in the middle of Paradise

We stayed at Dragon Cay for a small get away. The villa is as described, “very clean”and has a nice screened in area with two loungers. The villa is stocked with basic amenities (Shampoo, Conditioner, body wash)to make a quick back pack trip perfect. Kitchen has a full fridge, apartment size stove and was stocked with some coffee, sugar, cream and a gallon of water. To the left of the stairs is an outside faucet to rinse any sandy feet or beach clothes. We had a bit of an AC problem and reported it to maintenance early in the morning and was immediately addressed to have it quickly repaired. The restaurant was only open from 11-3 so we had to drive back to North Caicos for dinner. All in all, a little gem in paradise!

Perfect Getaway

From the the warmest smile and welcome from Evelyn when we checked in, everything was seamless and comfortable. Beautiful views and location. Wasn't too impressed with the Mudjin bar and Grill on site - we went for Sunday morning brunch. We didn't stay - the rap music in the back ground wasn't conducive to a relaxing Sunday morning by the ocean. Conch Bar Caves are a must visit, as is Seaview Café in Conch Bar - Judith who runs Seaview is lovely and has great selection of food and delicious cocktails. We ate at Seaview a couple of times. You have to Visit Big Josh Macintosh Bar in North Caicos (you'll drive past it on your way from the ferry). We made the mistake of only checking it out on our way home. Saturday nights are the night to party apparently. North and Middle Caicos are very sleepy - it was ideal for our getaway. Might not be the ideal spot for everyone, or indeed for extended stays, but it's great to get off grid a recharge your batteries.

Undisturbed Paradise

The week we spent here was beyond our imagination and could not have been more perfect. We fell in love, and can’t wait to come back. Other reviewers are not wrong in mentioning how peaceful this area is. It really is possible (even probable) that you can have an entire beach on Middle Caicos to yourself. The property is well located to explore all of North and Middle Caicos by car. We strongly recommend hiring a car to get around! We instantly fell in love with the Villa. It’s super clean, crisp and homely. It really felt like our home from Day 1. The beach at Mudjin Harbour (2 min walk from the villa) is absolutely stunning, and a lovely place to come back to for sunset after a day of exploring.

Cozy comfort & dramatic beauty

This was our first time to Turks & Caicos Islands and we made a great choice by staying in the Dragon View Cottage at Dragon Cay Resort. The location can't be beat with a view of the dramatic rocks of Dragon Cay, a spectacular spot whether it be a calm day or windy with large waves crashing over the cay. We loved having a fantastic beach a mere 5-minute walk from our cottage. We ate many good lunches (& had refreshing drinks) at the Mudjin Bar & Grill that is part of the resort. Our cottage was cool, comfortable and lovely, with a simple island decor. It was well-equipped with everything we needed; the kitchen was perfect for the nightly dinners we made there (restaurants tend to be open from around 11am-3 or 4 pm, so plan on ordering takeout dinners or making your own). The property manager, office staff, maintenance and housekeeping staff were always extremely friendly and ready to help us at a moment's notice. They were attentive to our needs and really bent over backwards to make our stay successful and enjoyable, something we really appreciated! We definitely plan to come back to Middle Caicos and stay at the Dragon Cay resort!

Dragon Cay Resort is a unique tropical destination tucked behind 2,200 feet of naturally preserved beachfront on Middle Caicos. The cottages and villas at Dragon Cay are an ideal base for exploring.

In the immediate vicinity, you will find the magical Mudjin Harbour, one of the most photographed and beautiful natural landscapes in the whole of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Many visitors to TCI come specifically to view the amazing beach formation around the Dragon Cay rocks.

The Mudjin Harbour Bar and Grill is just steps away and provides meals and refreshments. Check for the opening times of this facility. There are other resort buildings nearby as well as a shared BBQ location

The neighborhood is known as Conch Bar and is a small collection of resort buildings and private residences.

Crossing Place Trail is a few moment's walk away and leads through indigenous vegetation with stunning ocean views.

Conch Bar caves are also a short walk away. The caves feature stalactites and markings from early settlers.

Beyond the resort, you will find vast expanses of unspoiled natural landscape with indigenous tropical vegetation and a very sparse population. Perfect for exploring. There is much to see with other amazing beaches like Wild Cow Run.
