Romantic Studio Get Away with a Spectacular Water & Mountain View!
Ravens Landing Studio is really away from it all. High atop a hill with views west of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. It faces west so it catches the sun late into the afternoon. We finish the day with spectacular sunsets. Miles of walking and biking trails. Fishing, kayaking, beach combing, exploring and just minutes from the Olympic Peninsula. Bainbridge Island and Kingston ferries thirty five and twenty minutes away. Excellent space for writing, painting, relaxing and dreaming. Raven's Landing Studio is a 400 sf studio space with a cozy full size bed. The space is great for most but if you are over six feet it may be a bit of a squeeze. Most love the beauty of the space and the size has not been an issue.
There is a large deck with barbecue out the French doors. Eating bar, mini kitchen complete with microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, toaster oven, electric tea pot, kitchen sink, dishes, coffee, tea, honey, cream, etc. Small bistro table in front for morning breakfast. A kayak and mountain bike are available. Granola, oatmeal, milk and fresh fruit are complementary. Hiking and biking trails are minutes away. Point no Point Beach and Light House five minutes away. Buck Lake swimming park five minutes away. Grocery and restaurant three minutes away. Nature Preserve five minutes away. Excellent fishing, mushroom hunting and crabbing in the fall and summer.

About Darcy Herrett
I am an artist that loves to travel. I enjoy going to new places and meeting new people. I have traveled using Airbnb within the US as well as overseas. I love to get away for just a weekend to reset my outlook on life. I have hosted travelers in my studio in the past and loved the experience. I just opened a new Airbnb getaway, Raven's Landing this year. I am excited to welcome new people to our beautiful area!
Darcy Herrett purchased this Studio in 2015
Why Darcy Herrett chose Hansville
I chose this property because of the west facing view of the Olympics and Hood Canal. I love that it feels away from it all while it really is only twenty minutes to the Kingston/Edmond Ferry and forty minutes to the Bainbridge Island/Seattle Ferry. I designed this home and love to share the private studio with travelers.
What makes this Studio unique
Raven's Landing Studio is only minutes from Point no Point beach with miles of beach walking, I am also minutes away from Buck Lake for swimming in the summer as well as the Nature Reserve just down the road for a brief walk through the woods opening up to a drop dead gorgeous view of Hood Canal. There are also mountain bike and walking trails just up the road from my home. Fishing and kayaking are just minutes away. I have a hybrid mountain bike as well as a kayak that guests are welcome to use as well.

Calm, Relaxing, Great View
The studio has everything needed for a get away. It’s location is surrounded by nature with multiple walking trails & beach access nearby. The new pizza place in town, Peninsula Pies, is also a great hidden treat.
A cozy place for a getaway
Darcy really loves hosting guests, and it really makes a stay at Raven's Landing something very special. I arrived late and tired, and Darcy and her friend were just sitting down to dinner. Some hosts might have been annoyed - instead, Darcy invited me in to eat with them! That is just the sort of thoughtful, kind person she is. The place itself reflects her artistic sense, and it makes you feel warm and comfortable right away. A truly relaxing getaway spot.
Cozy, intimate setting with fabulous view of the Olympic Mountains.
Small, but everything we needed was provided and it worked well for our 10 day stay. Lots of things to do in the Hansville area. The owner is extremely nice.
Nice place to unplug and relax - lots of inspiration - the view from the bed was spectactular, water, mountains and trees, ahhhhhh!
We booked Raven's landing while our floors were being refinished. As I have a broken leg I knew that I would not be out hiking and I just wanted someplace quiet where I could read, sleep and get away from it all. Raven's landing was perfect. A cute little one-room spot, where you can lay in a comfortable bed, surrounded by books and interesting art, and look right out across the treetops to the islands. Probably two of the finest sunsets that I have ever see, then the ability to watch a storm roll in, followed by some cozy days full of drizzle (but still a great view.) The host Darcy, who lives on the property, was pleasant and unobtrusive. The space was charming, the view stupendous and the quiet...perfection.
Very Cute but a little tight
Great view, clean, new and cute inside. There are plenty of books to read and some chairs to relax in. Our host was very nice.
But I marked 1 star because the place is very tiny, I felt that I was bumping into things. And the bed is full sized and moves easily. I'm 6'2 and my SO is 5'8, we barely fit on the bed. I ended up taking the foam pad from the bed and sleeping on the ground. Hard to mark the host for my neanderthal size, but I feel that if it sleeps two, you got to have at least a queen size bed.
Other than that we really liked it. So if you're not an ogre, you'll probably like it.
It was a pleasure to host you and Shimima. So sorry to hear that the space was a bit tight for the two of you. I have only heard this from two guests over the past year and a half so for most it is comfy. That said, I realize it is a cozy fit. I unfortunately am unable to fit a queen size bed into the space without making it really too tight to get around. It has been a lovely space for most but a bit tight for a few. I will double check that the description says that there is a full size bed so that others are not surprised. As I said I have not heard this feedback from very many guests but I definitely understand. Thank you for your stay and you both were a pleasure to host!
Just minutes from my home are beautiful destination beaches, hiking trails, nature preserves, bird watching, fishing, golfing, beach combing, and mountain bike riding. Hansville is a great starting point for adventures in the Olympic Mountains such as cross country skiing, hiking and to the Pacific Ocean for deep sea fishing as well as surfing.
