Quiet country setting with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions nearby.
Ready for a ”barn” good time? Relax in a quiet country setting or take advantage of the restaurants, gourmet grocery store, deluxe bookstore, library and shops in Mill Creek Town Center just 10 minutes away. We've worked hard to make this space a premium rental property in the Mill Creek area, paying attention to the details that will make your stay special. Outside the private upstairs apartment you’ll be surrounded by lawn and trees, and inside you’ll find “rustic chic” decor inspired by the popular HGTV show “Fixer Upper.” The open living space is filled with natural light and the beauty of reclaimed wood while the full kitchen and breakfast bar make mealtime easy. The separate bedroom offers a queen size bed, dresser, padded rocker and armoire for your clothes; the bathroom offers vintage details with a convenient laundry center. The great room sofa turns into a Queen sized bed and a twin air mattress and crib is available for younger guests.
During your stay, drive south for 20 minutes and discover the Woodinville wine country where over 140 wineries have tasting rooms, including Chateau St Michelle Winery; or grab a pint of artisan beer at the Red Hook Brewery. Travel north for 20 minutes and explore historic Snohomish, home to many quaint shops, restaurants and antique stores, plus the “Centennial Trail”, an exceptional 30 mile bike route through the countryside. Boeing’s “Future of Flight” Tour, Alderwood Mall, and Seattle Premium Outlets are 20-30 minutes away. Exploring the beautiful Northwest from our location is easy; The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal is a 30 minute drive and offers a 30 minute scenic ferry ride to the wonderful shops, restaurants and sightseeing of Whidbey Island. Exploring the wonders of Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle makes another perfect day trip; accessible in about 45 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

About Connie Baldwin
My husband Brick and I have lived in Mill Creek for 20 years and really enjoy sharing the beautiful area with friends and family. Remodeling a portion of the upstairs of our “barn” into a premier rental space was a fun and challenging project. We paid attention to the details to make it a place WE would love to stay. (Please note that although the apartment is in a building with a weather vane on the roof, this building has never had an animal or hay in it!) The building was originally used as an artist studio/gallery and the bottom floor is now home to our antique car and project car collection. My husband Brick is a programmer. He completed restoration of his 1938 Chevy at the age of 21 and helped his father restore classic Dodges they raced across the country 5 times in the Great American Race. Connie worked in high tech marketing for 12 years and ran an interior design business. She is currently involved in charitable and entrepreneurial opportunities. We have a son in college and a daughter navigating the joys of high school. On the weekend you might see us out and about working in the yard (it is a big job!) or on some handy/crafty project. We look forward to meeting you!

What a wonderful stay we had. The apartment is immaculate, very quiet, beautifully furnished and quite comfortable. We have used many VRBO's but this was the best ever in our experience. We plan to visit again and again on our future trips to the area. We were greeted personally, given a tour of the apartment and were treated to fresh eggs, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese for our first breakfast, saving us a trip to the store. Close to restaurants and shopping (10-15 minutes) but felt like we were hid away in the beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful, peaceful quiet place. Connie is so personable and was so accommodating. Super clean!!
We enjoy hiking and running and there are a number of trails in the area. The Mill Creek area is less busy and offers nice restaurants and places to just sit and relax. We look forward to staying here again.
The property is fabulous meets every need both for comfort and convenience.
We had a wonderful stay. Entertained our family for dinner and lunch, exercised the grand children on the front lawn and enjoyed the peaceful setting. Connie and Brick are great hosts and were there in an instant when we had a problem with the entry lock. The property is stocked with lovely dishes and cooking implements as well as enough snacks to keep you satisfied until that first trip to the grocery. This is our second stay and we hope to return!
A Peaceful Oasis Away from the City Hustle and Bustle
We have stayed in many different rental homes over the years, and few have offered the warm welcome we received on our trip to Seattle. The Baldwin family were very accommodating of all of our needs, and even left a welcome basket on the counter for us with a card and bath toy for our new grandbaby. The apartment was well appointed with everything needed, and the décor provided a comfortable feeling of home. We were able to fix a complete Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen, and there was enough space to host our son and his family to enjoy the meal. The location was far enough away from the noise of the city and traffic to be very quiet and restful, but close enough to be able to reach restaurants and stores quickly as well as the coast (which we visited twice to walk on the shoreline of the Puget Sound) and the airport. We have no hesitation in saying that we will stay on this property again when we travel to Seattle; it was truly a home away from home for us.
Stacey, thank you for the kind words...we loved being your hosts! You and your husband were such charming and gracious guests. You are welcome any time, but I must insist that on your next visit, we get to admire your new grandchild ! Hope your holidays are wonderful!
Fantastic place to stay with my family and a beautiful setting.
This cottage has been one of the best places I have stayed with kids. The decor and furnishings are straight out of HGTV! Connie thought of everything from an endless supply of coffee, to a s’mores making kit out at the fire pit as well as a mix to make chocolate chip cookies! So comfortable - it was almost like living in the home we wished we had! Thank you for such an enjoyable trip!
