Perfect for your next romantic getaway, this unit is perfectly outfitted for you to lounge on the waterfront deck, or stay indoors with a good read in the window nook. When the sun shines high, easily get out on the water thanks to this property’s provided paddleboards and kayaks. In the evenings, test your luck at nearby casinos, or savor a home-cooked meal before enjoying a nightcap in the hot tub.

The hosts, the fresh cookies by the tea and coffee bar. The coziest cottage and best window seat for morning coffee and bird watching. Place was an absolute gem. The jacuzzi at night under the stars and the lake views. We will be back in the summer.

Host was very nice and showed us around the place she was very responsive if needed but respect our space when we just wanted peace and quiet very pretty view of the lake absolutely love the salt water hot tub and the bed was super comfy the place was clean and we had everything we needed it's about 15 minutes from Wilkes Barre were we attended a concert there is a waterfall just down the street that you can view from the side of the road all n all have a pleasant stay thank you

The Perfect Oasis to Recharge and Reset!

An absolute gem! This lovely oasis was the perfect escape, peaceful, inviting, and just what I needed to rest and reset. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the serene surroundings to the spotless, cozy accommodations. The hosts went above and beyond to make the stay feel special and welcoming. It felt like a home away from home, only better. I left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already dreaming about my next visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Comfy indoors with everything needed and gorgeous setting. Lovely to walk around the lake; walk is on roads but vehicular traffic rare. Super responsive and helpful hosts. Plus hot tub.

Beautiful laid back spot

Beautiful spot on the lake. A little chilly for us to use the kayaks, but we made use of the hot tub. A great middle spot for other destinations.

Incredible Place

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Thoughtfulness at every turn from beautiful design of the suite, top notch furnishing, scrupulous cleanliness. Beautiful views, flowers and plants everywhere, great nearby inn and cafe, friendly household dog and cat, helpful host.

Very peaceful and lovely area, owners had all the comforts of home inside. Directly on a private lake with access to kayaks and a small island across the way. Very soft and comfortable bed. Soothing ceiling fans, streaming TV, air conditioning not needed.

A little piece of paridise

A rustic and serene setting right on the lake. Accommodations were clean and comfortable with all updated amenities included. Mary and Theresa were welcoming and always available and provided detailed information about places to dine and things to do nearby. A perfect setting for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy nature.

Exceptional Experience

This property is an idyllic slice of heaven, and the hosts Mary and Theresa go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway with hiking nearby and kayaks on the property with an easy launch area. We were often the only ones kayaking on the quiet lake. You will never want to leave the lakeside patio with the exquisite flowers and other plants. Everything you could need is provided in the kitchen. Thank you both for a great stay- we loved it!

We enjoyed a truly wonderful week of peace, serenity, scenic beauty & truly wonderful hosts who made our stay truly special. The space as all you could need for relaxation - the calm peace of the community, the warmth & comfort of the hot tub, scenic views of the rippling lake, and the occasional eagle soaring by. We enjoyed our stay & felt so very much at home. Close to restaurants & grocery just a short drive away, or a well equipped kitchen where we cooked most of our own meals. A great space perfect for a couple & a place we know we hope to return to in the future. The kindness of hosts Mary & Theresa made the time truly extra special. You will not be disappointed by a stay here on Bear Creek Lake.

Bestie and I picked the perfect spot to celebrate our 46th bdays! 15 out of 10! Our hosts clearly arent novice BB providers as the space was fully stocked with all of our needs; including the most delicious cookies and little tarts for our arrival. I was grateful for coffee and tea options. We were greeted by a wonderful pup and given a tour. We loved the porch and the deck. We enjoyed the kayaks daily as well as the hot tub multiple times. Within an hour we were to Bushkill Falls, Jim Thorpe, horseback riding, mini golfing. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Water pressure was fabulous and the bed was beyond comfortable. The couch was too. We did hear our hosts one night as they had friends over for what sounded like a game following dinner. It was comforting and familial to hear "Yahtzee" or whatever muffled word was occasionally being yelled out. We didn't mind at all. Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing retreat to stay and enjoy or using this gem as a hub to explore the area, this one is not to be overlooked. Thank you so much ladies, we will be back

Idyllic getaway, exceeded expectations (which were high).

We've stayed at VRBO properties many times, including other lakefront homes. This one tops them all. The moment we stepped out of the car, we were struck by the profusion of flowers in the garden surrounding the home. We were welcomed immediately and given a tour of the apartment, including the spa. The view from the living room and the deck is sublime. A small island, just a short swim or paddle away, had children swinging from a rope and dropping into the lake. Close enough that you could watch and hear them, but not so close as to be intrusive. As the sun dropped behind the mountain, we watched swallows darting through the air, and later a bat. Serenely peaceful sums it up. The apartment feels like home, comfortable in every respect. A very well appointed kitchen had everything one could possibly need. The bathroom is compact, but has good water pressure and hot water aplenty. The linens and towels were like new and we enjoyed the fragrant imported soaps. The bed was a bit soft for my preference, but I slept soundly. Back to the spa: very clean and perfect for an evening after a long day of hiking to relax the muscles and soothe tired feet. Blissful! We hope to return in the winter to experience this tranquil location again.

Heaven on Earth!

Mary and Theresa are truly the best hosts! I was given a full tour of the property upon arrival, and was also pleasantly surprised with two batches of delicious cookies waiting for me! They really go out of their way to make sure that you have an enjoyable, relaxing stay. The house itself is beautiful and historic. It was wonderful to fall asleep each night with the sliding glass door open in order to hear the nature sounds. I was able to use their kayaks and spend some time on the lake; the scenery was well worth it! They have magnificent gardens that are very well-kept; this added to the magical ambience of the cottage. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who is looking to spend some time enjoying nature and the water. Do not pass up the opportunity to stay here! You will not be disappointed! I can't wait to come back! Thanks for a great stay!

A MUST STAY :)

This property was amazing, seriously the pictures DOES NOT DO JUSTICE!!! It exceeded my expectations! The home was lovely & comforting. Beautiful wall decor, very clean, slept like a baby in that wonderful brass bed, soothing shower head, firm couches I could go on. What I love the most is the beautiful lake scenery, peacefulness, & serenity, which by the way you can enjoy while relaxing in an incredible outside hot tub, I mean seriously so good could not get enough. Don’t let the serenity fool you there’s plenty to do such as walking the trail such as I did & taking a 10-15 min ride into town to grab a bite to eat from various restaurants. All I have to say I enjoyed myself tremendously & can not wait to book again. I want to thank Mary for her friendly warm hospitality & the delicious cookies which were made for us :)
