About this property

A lovely two storey home in a quiet area of town, bordering the Maitai River and only an 8 minute walk to town. There are 2 main bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds) and a further room and bed , to cater for a further guest, behind the kitchen area. There is a good sized lounge, dining area and kitchen with a shower room/toilet downstairs, plus a good laundry area with handy space for anything and popular to store bikes ! Upstairs there is a further shower room as part of the double bedroom and another toilet just off the landing.

There are small gardens around the property with a small private lawn, A lemon tree, and rhubarb are there to pick from all year round and a mandarin tree is absolutely full of fruit during the winter months

The house is perfect for any sort of guest, great for families, professionals, couples mountain bikers etc. within easy distance of all the town offers including the information centre , chemists , supermarkets , the Queens Gardens, the Centre of NZ walk and much much more .

Great location.

Near the Maitai and Downtown. Close to grocery store and Queens Gardens and very close to the center on NZ walk for morning Sunrise. Great spot.

Great location and a lemon tree!

House was a great location for seeing Nelson and the surrounding area. Alan was friendly and extremely helpful (confirmed we'd be able to view the World Cup final!). We even got to have some delicious lemons from the tree in the yard.

It is a really charming house in a very centre of the city. It's very clean, well furnished and its kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary stuff for cooking. The host is very pleasant and helpful guy. The garden around the house is just wonderful! We enjoyed every day of our stay here! Thanks to the host to his hospitality!

Nelson for a 99th birthday

Right from the first communication Alan has been extremely welcoming. The flexibility to arrival and departure time was very welcome especially as the weather was not Nelson's reputed sunny days. We would definitely stay again.

Location, Location, Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nelson at Alan’s property. Communication with Alan was a breeze along with check-in and check-out. The house was as advertised, well stocked and clean. The location was amazing, as you could be walking along the Maitai, wandering the Queen’s Gardens or brunching downtown in a matter of minutes. We will definitely be booking Alan’s property on our next visit.

Short walk to downtown and grocery stores. Close to the Maitai River and Queens Gardens. House was equipped with essentials- staples and laundry. We had five people staying at the house and we were very comfortable. Thank you!
