Welcome to Sister’s Beach Retreat a cozy and private home located in the sleepy town of Tierra Del Mar. You’ll find yourself enjoying the slow beach life when staying at this charming woodlined cabin.

The living room and kitchen are warm and stocked with games to fill the time when rain is falling; and when the sun is out, you’re just a short walk from the sand of Tierra Del Mar’s Beaches where the sunsets are out of this world.

Perfect for a family or small group of friends, the main floor features a full size bedroom with cozy wood lined walls. Upstairs in the loft, you’ll find 4 twin beds just waiting for a sleepover with friends. Sister’s Beach House really is the perfect spot for your next trip to the beach!

Pros and Cons

Pros: Proximity to the beach was wonderful—just a few steps. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. Cabin was cute and mostly clean (except for the carpet in the main living room which could use a washable rug). Cute bunnies frequent the area. Cons: Cabin smells very old and could use a fragrance. No dishwasher or washer/dryer for laundry. Pillows were so thin (2 inches) and hard that we ended up driving to town for new ones so we could sleep. In-betweens: The stairs leading to the second level are more like a ladder than stairs. Our kids loved this but it could be an issue for other renters as the pictures do not really reflect how steep these stairs are. On a strange note: Our family came to Tierra Del Mar with a couple other families (cousins/grandparents) who stayed in other houses a couple streets over (same date range). We happened to mention this to our host, and within an hour or two of doing so, our parents began receiving a number of somewhat sour messages from their host stating that Tierra Del Mar is a small town and "a little bird" had informed them about a large family gathering—talking to them as though we all planned to party the nights away and drive the locals crazy. Not sure how/why this happened, but it felt like an odd invasion of privacy to us. Our host didn't send us the same intimidating messages, but we didn't appreciate that information from our booking was somehow shared which resulted in a stressful time for our elderly parents.

Unique Older Cabin

The cabin was clean. Short walk to beach, but new two-story homes block the ocean view. It’s an old cabin with no updates. The nightly price is good, but with high service charges tacked on the total cost was more than I would have paid if I had known how small and old the cabin is. We will not stay here again.

Perfect place

It was a perfect place to stay. So close to the beach and hardly any people around. We had everything we needed. Very cozy!
