The great weekend getaway in Alaska
It was great, we had a great weekend. The place was big enough to accommodate our needs. And it was closed to downtown Anchorage. My family was really happy and thankful to stayed in good place that is quite and peaceful.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
The house was big and we enjoyed it every minute that we were there visiting our two sons.
The size was perfect, the trash outside was overflowing and had trash on ground when we got there, there was no extra paper towels and no dishwasher detergent. It would have been nice to have kitchen towels and a hand towel in the downstairs bathroom.
The house was clean and comfortable, and we had a lovely stay. The location was good, and check-in was fabulous. If you sleep lightly, bring something to muffle the occasional vroom from cars nearby or a very thick blanket if you like extra thickness. Overall, a great place to stay, especially for a relatively large family like ours!
I appreciated the quick response from owners. The house was large with spacious rooms. The house itself needs a little work, a couple of broken trim pieces and a missing cabinet door in the kitchen. All in all though, it worked for our group and we were happy about the stay and the price.
The home was easy to access from the airport and close to Costco for gas. The beds were comfortable. Spacious living room. However, most the hand soaps were empty, the outside trash was already full, I found beer bottle caps on the carpet (we don’t drink), and the plants were pretty much dead. One of the handles for the burners on the stove was broken as was the toilet paper holder in the master bath. The home worked for the 2 nights we were there but needs some repairs and care.
This house was amazing for our group of 8. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The one thing about the rooms is there aren't blackout curtains so definitely pack an eye mask if you're there during the long hours of daylight. Not every bedroom has a fan so the rooms can get stuffy but if you open a window it helps.
The kitchen has a few pots and pans, but we cooked a lot and found ourselves running out of items. I did purchase a drying rack and new sponge to be able to wash dishes.
Checking and out was super smooth thanks to the keyless entry.
Overall, a great place to stay and highly recommend this home!

Condition of the home
The overall condition of the house was disappointing. Trash piled up outside looked like it hadnt been picked up for several weeks. Trim missing with bare nails on the floor and stairs. Missing cabinet doors. Lights and ceiling fans didn't work. Broken toilet paper holders. Food and toiletries and personal items left from previous renters. Backyard unavailable which was fine, but would have been nice to sit on the porch or deck. Plants in the house were dead.
The house itself was clean. Nice beds and plenty of room and bathrooms. TV was great. Location was good. Lots of traffic noise however.
The home was not clean, the bathrooms were not clean. The bath in the hallway was plugged my husband had to clear out the debris clogging it. Floors were dirty when we swept we swept up old food that was left behind. The dryer wasn’t working, they did come and repair it. If you plan on preparing meals there is not sufficient cooking utensils, pots. The blinds did not go down all the way and there were no curtains on the windows. All we really did was sleep at the house.
This house needs a lot of tlc and cleaning. The cook top doesn't work. The showers had pink mildew and mold growingIn them. Trim was broken off around the door entryway exposing nail heads that could easily be stepped on. The cook top had one burner that worked well. I communicated that with the property manager and he was supposed to fix it on Friday, but we never heard from him again after the Thanksgiving contact we made. We were trying to warm up our Thanksgiving dinner. The oven still had oven cleaner on it that wasn't wiped off. The water pressure in the kitchen was terrible, no bigger then a pencil at best. The trash can in the kitchen was too small requiring us to change it multiple times a day. Both showers had mildew in them and were not cleaned. We felt the location was good but this property is very neglected. There's even notes from other people in the house binder detailing the same issues that we had. Another weird issue was that there was bear spray left in a lower kitchen cabinet, accessible to children. In fact, my 9 year old picked it up and showed it to me. in them.
