We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for my wife and I and the entire process was very smooth. We loved the neighborhood and would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a nice, small, cozy place to stay in Portland.

Apartment is in a favorite neighborhood. I enjoyed walking to local places...including Broadway Books, Helen's bakery, Pastini, and the Cadillac CafeI would have enjoyed havi ng coffee in roomI would have also enjoyed a tub which could have been used. It is advertised as electric fireplace and courtyard. The fireplace is antique. The courtyard was covered in overgrown weeds, moss, and not inviting to sit in.

A light came on through out the night outside in the garden and shined on us trying to sleep. They did not accommodate an earlier check and didn’t bother to respond to my messages sent before or stay. Two stars is generous of this place.

Mid October stay

In close vicinity to MODA Center. Easy Uber rides. My only comment is that it was difficult to find the property as it was off the main street behind the house. Especially in the dark.

House as advertised

We had a good stay. Everything in suite was as advertised. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was functional. The suite is behind the house and off the street, so it was quiet without much sound from street traffic. The kitchen is basic with a stove, but it has a microwave, water warmer, and fridge.

Spacious, but needs a boost

The location is great. There’s a nice, grandma quality to the place. The garden was lovely. It’s hard to let natural light in without omitting your privacy since the wall of windows faces more rentals and the street. The kitchen and bathroom need a little tlc and modernizing. The plastic electric kettle was filthy and worrisome since the plastic is old and worn, I couldn’t get it clean enough to use. The toaster albeit cute, is for one very small piece of bread, too small for bakery bread or anything else. It was comfortable otherwise.

Fine but needs a deep clean and update

This studio was perfectly located and felt quite safe as a woman staying alone. It is just as advertised in the pictures and was a fair price. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the natural light and the private garden entrance. I had easy communication with the property manager and she let me check in early after an early flight. That said, the inside is pretty run down and needs a good deep clean. Lots of spiders and other insects inside, and dust/cobwebs all around. The main surfaces had been wiped but lots of dust on fixtures, cabinets. The sheets and towels were fraying, and the skylight in the bathroom has some damage that is seeping into the ceiling around. I used the fridge but not the dishwasher. There were no garbage bags or kitchen sponge, but paper towels and soap was provided. I actually left a day early after finding carpet beetles on the bedding. I assume that was what was making my allergies act up, as they would ease up after I left to my conference location. I don’t think anyone was staying in the main house while I was there, and there is a for sale sign in the yard. I think the place needs better upkeep to really be comfortable.

We have been renting from VRBO, and AirBnB for the past 15 years in Portland, as we have family in Portland, and have never had a problem!I have complains about this place. First day, there were ants all over the kitchen area. We had not left any food out. The water coming out of the kitchen sink was trickling, no pressure from the faucet. We were supplied with only one spoon and two forks, one glass for water. I had to go buy more glasses (drinking and wine) and left them there. I had to ask for paper towels, hardly any on the roll.Something was off in the refrigerator . Anything left tin the refrigerator became frozen. i.e. milk, butter, cheese etc...Be sure to use a flashlight to get in and out at night. The light over the door does not always work. We were disappointed the owner did not do a better job with kitchen utensils. This place seems very "tired"! The only good thing was a comfortable bed. Very disappointed Clients!
