This home is located in a prime location just a 5 minute walk to popular NW 23rd avenue near Thurman with tons of boutiques, home design shops both local and well-known stores, antiques, hiking trails (just blocks from Forest Park), parks, galleries, fabulous restaurants whether for happy hour or fine dining, European bakeries, local micro brews and pubs, coffee shops... just about everything for an enjoyable visit to Portland. It is very close to the street car for quick access to the Pearl District, Willamette River and Downtown also is within walking distance if you are a good walker! The condo is located on a quiet dead end street with lots of street parking plus a path at end of street for direct access to Thurman where the coffee shops, French bakeries and boutiques begin. Just a block away is a convenient health conscious urban grocery store for everyday necessities and stocked with local fresh produce. Close to public transit… makes this a great place to stay whether for work or fun! This unit is on the second floor with a view of the West Hills!

Home away from home

Our stay here was eight days and we really wanted "our place" to feel like home. And, this was indeed much like our little home in Portland. The location is excellent, within walking distance to a local organic co-op type grocery store, and also within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bank and streetcar stop. The condo itself was pleasantly decorated. The king size bed was very comfortable and we rested well each night. The owner was very proactive in answering questions and meeting our needs both prior to booking and during our stay. We would happily stay here again. Thank you, Becky!

Clean, good location

We appreciated the convenient location near NW 23rd, with all the great shops and restaurants close by. The unit is clean, light, and comfortably furnished. Unfortunately, due to poor insulation between floors (this unit is on the 2nd floor), we experienced quite a bit of noise from foot steps and conversations both above and below the unit. Not quite the quiet stay we were hoping for, but it was a good location for exploring the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! I am sorry you found the unit to be noisy. There is extra insulation between the floors (floating floor system) but as they are wood floors noise will carry especially with shoes. We ask guest to remove shoes to help with this. In addition have several area rugs with thick pads to help with this too. We understand that sometimes noise cam be an issue but felt the cleanliness of wood floors verses wall to wall carpet is a plus. Thank you, Becky

Very cozy. Loved the fireplace.

Nice property and walking distance to everything you need. Parking was a little problem but the parking permit was great. King bed and nine foot couch were great. Definitely recommend. Loved the balcony. Thought the lighting was poor until we realized they are all on dimmer switches...viola! Only downside ...the porch lights never go off all night. If you need total darkness to sleep... you may want to ask the property manager about that or bring blinders.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! Glad you found the little dimmer switch toggle as you can make the space any brightness you prefer. I so apologize for the bright outdoor lights. They are automated dusk to dawn light fixtures which we had removed the on/off switch to help with consistency. But, see this can be an issue! We are reinstalling the light switch so guest can manually turn off those lights at night! Thank you, Becky

Modern clean apartment with extra touches that are thoughtful

Extremely well equipped--including nice touches like terry robes --, comfortable apartment in walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Clean and comfortable . This is our second stay here and I'd recommend it highly.

Great apartment

Had a three night stay in NW Portland. This was a great one bedroom apartment in a safe area with no parking problems, with a short walk to stores and restaurants. Clean, roomy, and everything a couple staying in NW Portland would need. 5 stars.

Just a few blocks to Portland Streetcar .....Streetcars run on two lines, the NS Line and the CL Line. The first, the NS Line, is a 4-mile one-way route from Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital at NW 23rd Avenue, on Lovejoy and Northrup, through the Pearl District and on 10th and 11th Avenues to SW Mill and SW Market Streets, Portland State University Urban Center, SW Harrison Street, RiverPlace, OHSU, the Aerial Tram and to a terminus at SW Lowell & Bond at the South Waterfront District. The second, the CL Line, is a 4.65-mile one way route from SW Market along 10th and 11th to the Pearl District, across the Broadway Bridge, along Broadway, Weidler, 7th, MLK and Grand to the Rose Quarter, Lloyd District, Convention Center, Central Eastside and OMSI
