This house was nice and we loved the location on the beach and the pool. The beds were comfortable. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues (garbage disposal did not work and outside lights around the pool did not work) but they did not impact our stay. The host was responsive and sent a maintenance person to look at the issues within a day. The house is right next to a public beach access and there was a lot of foot traffic throughout the day so just be aware of that. Also, the master bedroom is only accessible inside by a spiral staircase. You can also access it from the outside porch, but from inside, the spiral staircase is narrow and difficult to navigate. Overall, the house was as advertised and we had a lovely week.

Relaxing on the Beach

The house was a great size and layout, All the porches and decks were great. Pool and Hot Tub were clean and the property management was excellent and quick to respond to any needs. Beach was not too crowded and very clean. Bring Beach/Pool Towels!!

We had a lovely stay.....

Cute place with lots of spiders, and a wierd stale pee smell when we first arrived. The location was perfection. The pool was delightful, the ocean front was gorgeous, and we would defintely come back. The kitchen was stocked well with good quality items. The wine cooler was excellent to have and left us with plenty of fridge space for food. Grill was the perfect size for having 10 people staying in the place. Beds were comfy, but I think I will bring my own pillow next time. Be prepared for lots of steps....

The view of the ocean and beach was great. The pool and hot tub area were well kept. There was sand in the pool but it is right by the ocean so that was expected. The house was mostly clean but the woodwork and some flooring didn't appear as clean. The house had a very musty smell when we arrived so we got some air fresheners and that helped. I think the blinds on the windows held moisture and added to the musty smell. The king master on the top floor had a VERY small bathroom. The shower was small and had a big step up. The shower head didn't move and was OLD. The GFI in the top bathroom kept tripping and would not always reset right away. One of the downstairs bathtubs did not drain so you showered in standing water. The downstairs king room ceiling fan did not work. We had issues with the internet on two separate days but service replaced equipment within a couple hours and we had to have something reset again after that before it actually worked. The second day it was an error on our part as we did not expect to need to enter our personal email information to continue use of the internet.

Pictures of properties should really be updated on a yearly basis. Although storms happened up until our stay and a few days in the beginning. Pool area had so much sand around it was like a second beach. Inside of the house hasn't been cleaned well in who knows how long. Copious amounts dust on fans, lighting fixtures etc. The return vent filter on the HVAC sytem looked like it hadn't been changed in over two years or more. This property has a beautiful view of the ocean but it is not lovingly restored or kept up properly. The top floor sliding glass door leaks water into the home so badly the carpet gets wet up to a 3' radius around door and water damage is visable through ceiling to the main floor with kitchen. Grill made available is so rusty I wouldn't use it. Hot tub was nice but I was told the amount of sand visable in picture included is normal. Property management did send someone out to clean pool but no one is cleaning the errant sand from pool, walkways, outdoor showers or parking area under house on a regular basis. Would not rent this property or from this property management group again. Communication was good for check in and check out. However, no one is properly maintaining this rental home.

Millie, Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback on your recent stay. We sincerely apologize that the condition of the property and its immediate surroundings did not meet your expectations or our standards. Your experience, particularly with the cleanliness and maintenance issues, is certainly not the quality of vacation we strive to provide. We are actively addressing the issues you have raised: Property Maintenance & Condition: We acknowledge your comments regarding the need for updating photos and general upkeep. We update our photos regularly and have already scheduled a comprehensive review of the property by our maintenance supervisor to create an immediate action plan for restoration and repair. Grill: The rusty grill has been removed and will be replaced with a new one. HVAC Filter: Replacing filters is a necessary and important part of maintaining a property. Our maintenance logs show the filters were replaced approximately 30 days prior to your arrival with filters that are rated for 90 day use. We apologize this did not meet your expectation. Cleanliness (Dust & Sand): We are very sorry for the condition of the interior upon your arrival. What you reported here is not our normal industry leading cleaning standards. Exterior Sand: We understand your frustration with the excessive sand, especially around the pool area. Coastal storms and high winds which you alluded to in your review often deposit large amounts of sand quickly, especially on oceanfront properties, we agree that the regular maintenance schedule should better account for this. We appreciate you noting that communication for check-in and check-out was good. However, we understand that this does not negate the issues you experienced during your stay. We truly regret that your experience has led you to conclude you would not rent with us again, and we value your candid feedback as it helps us identify where immediate improvements are required. We are committed to ensuring that is maintained to provide the beautiful vacation experience the view deserves. Thank you again for bringing these critical points to our attention.

Recently stayed at Life is Good…. Had its good and bad points. Good communication with realty company. We were missing some bath towels and they made sure to get them to us in a prompt manner. Covered outdoor deck on top level was best part of the house! Nice to sit outside in the morning and not worry about sun bearing on you. The biggest con was the cleanliness of the house. It was very evident that this was not important, as dust was thick enough to write your name in and I don’t even know the last time under the beds were swept! The house just hasn’t been taken care of properly. Lots of sand around the pool area, a blown out panel on the walkway to the beach, batteries lying outside of smoke detectors, and certain lights not working are just a few examples of neglect. Also, saw ants here and there in the kitchen. This house is right next to a public beach access so the beach fills up fast. We had to get out there by 5:30 a.m. to get a spot next to our house so if you want to avoid crowds be aware that this may not be the place for you.
