Southbay 43 - 2 BR Townhome

A dog under 80 pounds is allowed at this property for an additional $100 plus tax nonrefundable pet fee. Current shot records are required at check-in as well. Although Southbay allows pets, pets are not allowed on the beach. No beach in Destin/Okaloosa county is pet friendly.

Looking for your own private town-home with no streets separating you from the Gulf of Mexico, but don’t want to give your arm and leg to stay there? Look no further than Southbay by the Gulf, Town-home #43. Southbay is a private community of individually owned town-homes complete with all the amenities: 300 feet private beach, two tennis courts with shuffle boards, two pools (one heated with adjoining children’s pool), and 5 acre fresh-water fishing lake. Feeding the fish, turtles, and ducks from right off the deck is allowed.

Walk right into the townhouse from your car parked out front. The guest bedroom has a full bath with 2 Queen beds, flat screen TV with DVD player.  The master has a full bath with tub, king size bed, flat screen with DVD and a walk out deck over looking the lake. Upstairs is the living area with a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, half bath, Flat screen TV with DVD player. You will also  find a sleeper sofa and another futon at your disposal. Step out on the upper deck and enjoy both sunrise and sunsets.

Great location close to the beach, pool, restaurants and local shopping. Beautifully decorated condo, we loved the cool beach vibe. Very well equipped if you want to cook at home. Streaming services were excellent. Loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds. Excellent communication from start to finish. We really loved this stay and plan to be back soon

Property perfect for the price. I thought it would be a little closer to the beach, but it was a clearly marked path still. Beach area was really nice, we didn’t use the pools as they seemed small and crowded. Bed was comfortable and unit was clean. Only issues we had were that the dryer seemed to set off the fire alarm if you washed and dryed more than one load without waiting. Washer and dryer could definitely use an update. Also, the tv kept switching to Spanish randomly. We checked and it was not our kids playing pranks. Other than that, living room furniture could use an update but it wasn’t a big deal.we would stay here again.

The townhouse was wonderful. Enjoyed the upper and lower decks so much. Spent lots of time on both. We Will be back to 043. The only negative I would like to mention. The tub would not drain at all. I had to clean it out myself which was nasty. Lots of long dark hair. Second the front outer door does not shut and stay closed. We always had to keep the front door closed. Other then those 2 things we loved our stay.

Very nice property. Owner made a change to the spare room which actually worked out better for us! This was communicated with us well in advance. Well taken care of property. Just needs a deep clean from what was probably a very busy vacation season, but nothing to cause a commotion or complain about. It worked out well for 4 adults and our fur family members.

2025 Spring Break

We found the condo and as we pulled into town i received a message our room was ready so we went straight there and the girls changed and we went straight to the pool We enjoyed the whole week there and people around us was very friendly ! It was a beautiful place and my husband said i woukd go back there and stay again !

Rat Attack

1 st night I heard nosies in Master Bath room. upon inspecting I found a large Rat hiding behind the toilet. I closed the door and put towels under door to keep it there. This was 3:45 AM. the property manager was called at 9:00 am due to no Emergency number provided, After several hours the found a person that would get a LIVE rodent. 1:00pm he arrived and removed on unwanted Guest. I cleaned up the dropping and continued my brief Vacation. I will not book with this Group Again.
