David & JJ fell in love with Montana over 26 years ago and made the decision to raise their family near the mountains of Glacier National Park. David found his way to Montana as a young man who left Atlanta, Georgia to build a homestead with his three college buddies in the remote Alaska wilderness. After building his Alaska cabin, David made his way back down to Montana and never left. JJ has spent her entire life living in the Rocky Mountain West from Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and now Montana. She found her forever home in Whitefish where she met David at the Great Northern Bar, bought a small railroad house in town and now raises their three kids. It's always a creative challenge living in Montana. David has been blessed by making a living doing what he loves which is writing and performing his original music. His music has taken him from Many Glacier Hotel to the Kennedy Center and everywhere in between. JJ loves playing with her kids, hiking with her dog, and making websites - all in the same day! She started her own company, FlyGirls Media, to help small businesses harness the power of the web by telling their story online. They own/manage two other rental properties centered around Glacier Country: The StoneHouse at Duck Lake on the east side of Glacier National Park (https://www.vrbo.com/328654) The Railway Loft in Whitefish is owned by JJ's sister and is managed by the couple. Owner purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Owner chose Columbia Falls
You know that term - 'Love at first sight' - well, it's true, at least when it came to this cabin. We happened upon this cabin for sale and after meeting the wonderful owners, (we became instant friends!) we knew we needed to be the next stewards of this beautiful homestead. It was obvious the cabin was impeccably well cared for. The cabin was recently remodeled a few years ago with special attention to Montana craftsmanship and designed to enhanced this little rustic cabin to a luxury mountain get away. We are in LOVE with this cabin and thrilled to share this unique Montana cabin with you!
What makes this Cabin unique
• The Cabin at West Glacier is minutes from the entrance to Glacier National Park. • We are located across from Glacier View Golf Club - three season golfing and during the winter access to the best cross country skiing and snow shoeing. • The Middle Fork River is right across the street. You can put in a river raft, kayak or small boat at the access point down the road or just walk across the way to sit by the river, fish, or take a quick swim. • If blustery weather has you inside, the cabin is a warm, comfortable retreat for reading books, enjoying a beverage and relaxing by the wood stove. • Our kitchen is fully equipped, so delicious meals can be prepared easily. • We also have an indoor "spa" bathroom - a beautiful tiled shower and jetted bathtub perfect for soaking after a long day exploring Glacier. • Wildlife is right outside. Possible visits from bears, eagles, deer, elk, moose, & even locals! :) • Down the road are incredible outdoor activities - white water rafting, helicopter sight-seeing tours, guided hiking, great restaurants, distillery!, water park in Columbia Falls, zip lines, golf courses, horse back riding, swimming holes, and the list goes on!

Truly a Winter Wonderland!
This cabin is perfect! There were four of us and we had plenty of room. Everything you need to feel at home. David & JJ are great hosts! We had flight issues due to weather and they gladly worked with us. The location is very close to Glacier National Park and lake McDonald which was beautiful. About 30 minutes to the airport in Kalispell and shopping in Whitefish. We went snowmobiling, ice fishing and took a horse drawn sleigh ride. Being from Texas we have not seen this much snow ever. It snowed probably 12" while we were there. Truly a winter wonderland! Will definitely visit again.
First of all, you guys rock! What a great adventure you all had and we are so glad you enjoyed the cabin and we can't wait for your return! Thank you again for staying with us - David & JJ
Beautiful elegant cabin.
The cabin was in a great location very close to West Glacier Park entry. We had unfortunately bad fires and lots of smoke making breathing diffucult. Most trails on this side were closed as well as the Going to the Sun Road from here to Logan Pass thus we had to drive many hours to get to open trails on the east side. No fault of the cabin or owners! The cabin was beautifully decorated, absolutely spotless and in a quiet location. JJ was always responsive immediately to questions.
You both were very adventurous and we are glad the cabin worked out for you. , The wildfires and the smoke were definitely a challenge for all of us living here this past month. What a joy to see the rain and snow return! Thank you for staying with us and hope you will visit again soon. JJ
Beautiful cabin with everything you need
The cabin is beautifully designed, tastefully appointed, modern and clean. JJ and David are super helpful and responsive. We will be back!
We look forward to your return! JJ & David
Perfect homebase for exploring Glacier National Park
We spent an amazing week in this wonderful cabin located near the entrance to GNP. The Flathead River is just steps from the cabin and we had fun playing on the river as well. Great hosts, very responsive and thoughtful. We hope to return soon!
We are so glad you had an amazing time here in West Glacier. Can't believe summer has ended so soon and already snow in the mountains! We look forward to your next visit. Thanks for the review!

Exceeded our Expectations
This cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Golf Course backs up to the back yard and just across the road is the river--great for wading. Just outside the gate at West Glacier. The village of West Glacier is very accessible from the cabin. If I had known how convenient the market was to the cabin, I would not have purchased groceries in Columbia Falls.
The kitchen has all of the tools we needed to prepare meals. Beds are heavenly and the bathrobes were a nice touch.
Could not have asked for a better experience. JJ and David are super hosts.
We are beyond thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin and our West Glacier community. We hope you will stay with us again soon.
All the best, JJ
Lovely cabin, well-stocked, great location!
Enjoyed our stay here. Walked to the golf course restaurant for breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
Thanks for review Sonja. We hope your travels bring you back this way again, would love to have you back to the cabin!
