About The Owner

David & JJ fell in love with Montana over 26 years ago and made the decision to raise their family near the mountains of Glacier National Park.

David found his way to Montana as a young man who left Atlanta, Georgia to build a homestead with his three college buddies in the remote Alaska wilderness. After building his Alaska cabin, David made his way back down to Montana and never left.

JJ has spent her entire life living in the Rocky Mountain West from Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and now Montana. She found her forever home in Whitefish where she met David at the Great Northern Bar, bought a small railroad house in town and now raises their three kids.

It's always a creative challenge living in Montana. David has been blessed by making a living doing what he loves which is writing and performing his original music. His music has taken him from Many Glacier Hotel to the Kennedy Center and everywhere in between.

JJ loves playing with her kids, hiking with her dog, and making websites - all in the same day! She started her own company, FlyGirls Media, to help small businesses harness the power of the web by telling their story online.

They own/manage two other rental properties centered around Glacier Country:

The StoneHouse at Duck Lake on the east side of Glacier National Park (

The Railway Loft in Whitefish is owned by JJ's sister and is managed by the couple. (

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2017

Why The Owner chose Glacier Country

You know that term - 'Love at first sight' - well, it's true, at least when it came to this cabin. We happened upon this cabin for sale and after meeting the wonderful owners, (we became instant friends!) we knew we needed to be the next stewards of this beautiful homestead.

It was obvious the cabin was impeccably well cared for.

The cabin was recently remodeled a few years ago with special attention to Montana craftsmanship and designed to enhanced this little rustic cabin to a luxury mountain get away.

We are in LOVE with this cabin and thrilled to share this unique Montana cabin with you!

What makes this cabin unique

Unique Benefits? Where do we start?

• The Cabin at West Glacier is minutes from the entrance to Glacier National Park.

• We are located across from Glacier View Golf Club - three season golfing and winter cross country skiing.

• The Middle Fork River is literally across the street. You can put in a river raft, kayak or small boat at the access point down the road or just walk across the way to sit by the river, fish, or take a quick swim.

• If blustery weather has you inside, the cabin is a warm, comfortable retreat for reading books and relaxing by the wood stove.

• Our kitchen is fully equipped, so delicious meals can be prepared easily.

• We also have an indoor "spa" bathroom - a beautiful tiled shower and jetted bathtub perfect for soaking after a long day exploring Glacier.

• Wildlife is right outside. Possible visits from bears, eagles, deer, elk, moose, & even locals! :)

• Down the road are incredible outdoor activities - white water rafting, helicopter sight-seeing tours, guided hiking, great restaurants, distillery!, water park in Columbia Falls, zip lines, golf courses, horse back riding, swimming holes, and the list goes on!

Highly Recommend this Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at this perfect cabin. We were seeking a little getaway with relaxation at the top of our list. That was easily achieved in such a well appointed and comfortable property. The kitchen has everything you'd need to prepare meals. The entire cabin is absolutely spotless! We enjoyed cross country skiing right out the door and had another ski along Lake McDonald in the Glacier Park. The location of this property is fantastic for enjoying all that the Park has to offer. What an amazing place to rest after long days of exploring the area. We did not want to leave! Thank you JJ and David for offering such a wonderful property. We cannot wait to go back and highly recommend this cabin!

4th time in Glacier/Finally found an awesome rental!

  • 5 of 5

Look no further. This place was super clean. First time ever staying in a cabin, where there was not a single spider web indoors. Wow! The Owner's thought of everything you might need, to stay in a very well appointed accommodation. Left our mind's free to enjoy so much more of Glacier than our previous visits. Thank you so much! Hope you will let us stay again.

A Lovely Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in JJ and David's cabin for a winter escape with family. It was wonderful! It sits on the banks of the Flathead River just outside the gates of Glacier National Park. It takes less than 10 minutes to be inside the park! Snow shoeing in the park was beautiful and tranquil. We returned to sit by the wood stove and enjoyed the warm ambiance and great company. Everything about the cabin is well thought out. It is cozy, well-appointed, extremely clean and very comfortable. We stayed with another couple and it provided ample privacy. It is a pleasure to cook in the kitchen. All the books and movies are perfect for the setting. JJ was very available to answer questions and checked in by text just to make sure we got in and had everything we needed. We loved our time in West Glacier and hope to return soon!

Cozy Cabin In Glacier Park!

  • 5 of 5

The Go Fish Inn is a well crafted Log Cabin located just inside Glacier National Park and within hearing distance of the Flathead River. Very quiet, warm (good wood stove), with plenty of comfortable space for the capacity. The owners thought of everything and we had a great time experiencing the Park as well as what the Flathead Valley has to offer (skiing, shopping, dining, and more). Even as we snuggled into the soft relaxing beds, the soft sound of a train could be heard off in the distance as it made it's run eastward through the Park. The decor in the Cabin is excellent with Log Beds and rustic furniture, as well as a large bathroom with a jacuzi tub/ shower (I used that!). All in all we couldn't of asked for more and recommend this awesome cabin to all!
