Beautiful, historic home in a peaceful setting!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your home - it was nice and remote, secluded on the lake yet close to the lodge and camp store. The furnishings and supplies at the house made us feel like we lived there, only sorry it was for just a week. We loved all the resources you left for us - books, maps, bear spray, suggestions on local restaurants, etc. The furnishings made us feel very comfortable and like we got to know what it is like actually living there. Thanks for the hospitality and making us feel truly welcome!

Great home in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We had three couples in our group and it was fantastic to sit out on the boathouse in the evening and have dinner and drinks after a day of hiking, rafting, and fishing. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Thanks Charlene for sharing your home with us.

Enjoyed the location and privacy of the homestead.

The little homestead was perfect to come back to after a day of traveling on the Going to the Sun Road, and hiking. When your exhausted its nice to settle down on a comfy couch and watch the sun set.

Thank you for our first Home Away Experience.

Super cool lake house, bonus incredible location

  • 5 of 5

This home is loaded with character- it would be a cool lake house on any lake. But the location on Lake McDonald is INCREDIBLE. We woke up with the most amazing views out of our windows. The deck was a gorgeous setting for meals. Our kids loved skipping rocks in the lake and floating on rafts. We could kayak from the house. You can also jump on the Going-to-the-Sun Road and beat crowds more easily from the location. The house has a sense of heritage in the park, especially once you learn the owner's personal connection to the park. Charlene was one of the most outstanding homeowners to work with- communication was fantastic. Would give this rental our highest recommendation.
