About this property
ALMOST NEW! HIKER'S CABIN in West Glacier
This new 1110 sq foot log cabin sits in a perfect location. Out the back door is the Glacier View Golf Course and out the front door the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which offers excellent trout fishing. We are in West Glacier which provides the best access to all of the corners of Glacier National Park; including the famous "Going to the Sun Highway", the Alaska-like North Fork Road, and the backcountry roads into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
After a busy day hiking, rafting, fishing, or exploring the Park you will love coming back to this cozy home. The cabin is constructed with solid blue pine logs and post and beam craftsmanship. In the great room, there is a cathedral ceiling and wood stove. A loft adds space for kids to play or watch television on the flat-screen TV. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and cherry cabinets in the kitchen provide a great setting for baking a huckleberry pie!
The elegant yet rustic interior has hardwood floors and reclaimed wood stairway. There is a Queen bedroom upstairs with half bath and a loft area with a full futon to sleep two more. Downstairs is a Queen bedroom with a full bathroom. There are a washer and dryer on the main floor, as well.
Relax on the timber frame covered front porch with a beverage after a long day of hiking or barbecue in the back yard.
There are a ukulele and a classical guitar (if the strings are still intact :))

We enjoyed our stay in 2024, we came back again in 2026! This property is so conveniently located you’d think you were in the park. This cabin feels like home.

Thank you! We love having returning guests so come back again! Safe travels home!
The cabin was just right for us and it was clean and well equipped. Its proximity to the park entrance allowed easy access and its proximity to West Glacier allowed us to get to dinner and grab souvenirs easily. We could not have been happier with our stay.

I'm so glad the cabin worked out well for your family vacation. You were excellent guests and are welcome back any time!
Cabin was close to everything. Super clean and well equipped. Host was responsive and very helpful with local knowledge. I highly recommend staying here to visit Glacier.
The house was exactly as advertised, very clean, great location right outside the entrance. It was perfect for my family! If we ever make it back to Glacier, we would stay here again!
Great cabin & great location! Very quiet. We loved staying here. It is very close to the entrance to Glacier National Park. It has everything you might need. Mona is a great host!
A beautiful cabin in a nice location so close to the West entrance. It was sparkling clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We would book again!
Cabin is just as lovely as the photos suggest. So clean and well stocked. Beds comfy. Porch was the best for transitioning from active day to restful evening. Owner extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Thank you for coming out and staying with us while you explored Glacier! I hope the fishing was good! Come back any time!
If there weren’t so many more national parks to visit we’d stay here again with no hesitation and plan our trip around when it was available. Hosts were so friendly and made their cabin so welcoming. Perfect location close to park entrance and food/shops. Quiet street across from river. Was fun to see the rafting trip buses come and go. Perfect home away from home for a family.
Cabin was beautiful inside and out. Located very close to the west entrance to Glacier National Park. The cabin actually exceeded our expectations for our trip. Would highly recommend renting this cabin. Mona was very responsive during the whole process.

We love to hear that the cabin exceeded expectations so thank you! Please come back and stay another time!
This cabin is perfectly located to explore the West Glacier side of GNP. It was homey, very clean and well stocked. Appreciated the box fans too - not something you find in most VRBOs. Communication with the owner was great too.
We had a great stay for the holidays, complete with snow and cozy cabin fires. The location by the river and access to the park was perfect for us, thank you!

Glad you had a good stay! I wish you had a little more snow for the holidays, though! Come back sometime in the summer and explore Glacier!

The cabin was so clean and cozy, my family felt right at home! Easy and quick access to Glacier and nearby towns. Love it! Will definitely be back to stay!
Close to Glacier park, little more than walking distance and away from main traffic. Took me a bit to figure out how to optimize the temperature inside on hot days and some of the rooms stay warm (AC didn’t reach). But once I figured it out, it was good. Wish we could have stayed longer.

About the host
Hosted by Mona Cuthbert
Owners Mike and Mona are from Montana and Alaska. After 10 years in Alaska we wanted a cabin in an area similar to "The Last Frontier"..but better weather!
As avid hikers the North Fork Road towards Canada is almost identical to the Alaska interior-glaciated streams, grizzly bears, rugged peaks, and bad roads!
Why they chose this property
Mona is a wild berry nut and Mike spends as much free time as possible testing new fishing areas.
Huckleberries are found by mid July- as well as thimble berries, service berries, chokecherries, and many others.
The fishing can be excellent. Although most people travel to Montana for the trout fishing (which is walking distance); within 30 minutes of the cabin you can find bass, huge pike, lake trout, and pan fish. Golfing is relatively inexpensive here- you can walk to the club house. In the summer you can buy a drink and basic dinner food at the club house for a very reasonable price.
What makes this property unique
There are only a handful of properties like this one. Our place is new, rustic, classy, and what you hope for in a place like Montana. Although we are in West Glacier, we are a mile from the noise of the train and highway.
