Did you ever want to live among the trees? This is the condo for you! 2 bed/ 3 bath unit features a wall of windows which looks out upon the trees. The breathtaking tree views are out every window (there are a ton of them) and are truly magical. It is a one of a kind experience!! A newly renovated kitchen and new living room furniture are just a couple of the amenities you will enjoy while staying nestled in the pines! This condo is located on the ground floor for easy access. Master bedroom w/king bed. 2nd bedroom w/queen bed. Living room w/murphy queen. 2 portable foam mattresses that you can put where needed.

It is a great place to relax after a day in the mountains! The living room and balcony have very serene views of the surrounding forest!! We hope that you choose to stay with us for your next Winter Park getaway!! You won't regret it!

This unit is located within the full service Iron Horse Ski Resort within walking distance to the slopes!

The Iron Horse Resort, is a full service Ski Resort which has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable right on premises. There is an indoor/outdoor heated pool for the kids and 2 large outdoor hot tubs for the grownups as well as a health club with steam rooms and showers. A full service ski shop centrally located on the property allows easy access from every Iron Horse Condo, and is only steps away from the elevator up to mountain access. You can rent all your ski or board equipment including helmets, buy ski clothing or get a full tune. A washer and dryer can be found in the unit for your convenience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious condo. There were three of us visiting for a couple days of bike riding at Trestle. We were close enough to ride back to the condo for lunch. The huge deck was a great place to hang out after a long day of riding.

Soon upon our arrival we identified two of the toilets to be clogged. The internet did not work throughout our entire stay. We tried to log in with a different cell phone provider and it still did not work. This can be a challenge when guests depend on the internet to do some work. The TV in the master bedroom is only for decoration, because it did not work either. By the time of booking I read that the unit is a ski in and out. We had to depend on the shuttles and because there were no staff around the whole area to answer questions about the commute, we had to walk a far distance back to the resort, in the dark, next to a road without any side walk, and with our little kids. The living room had a heat/ fire place exit not marked as dangerous by any means. We came back on the second day to enter a heavy smoking unit caused by a burning mattress that was placed next to the vent. The fire alarm/smoke detectors did not work, as a matter of a fact, it biped throughout our whole stay possibly for the lack of battery. I must say that I have been in many properties all over in the Winter park, but this stay was by far the most expensive and unpleasant stay we ever had so far.

Owner's Response: So first and fore most, there are 2 phone numbers posted on the refrigerator and every guest is encouraged to call either number if they have questions or concerns during any part of their stay. These numbers are also emailed to every guest immediately upon making the reservation. If this guest had called us as soon as they were aware of the problems, we would have immediately remedied all of them. We could have had the toilets unclogged whiten 30 minutes as there is always a maintenance person on call. The internet and TV both do work as we checked as soon as we read this review. Again, we could have talked the guest through fixing both of these issues or sent some one to the condo to fix them. The shuttle concern could also have been addressed as we would have informed the guest on the best way to get around. The smoke alarm blip could have also been easily fixed. In 2 years of renting this property, no one has ever placed something on the vent. We have placed a grate over the vent with a warning sign to prevent this from happening in the future. (and paid for a new mattress!) We encourage all of our guests to simply call us for any question so that we can make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Iron Horse Resort is a great place for you skiers. If you need to rent equipment the rental shop is right on the way to the ski trail. The unit we stayed in was a 5 minute trek across a parking lot, up an elevator, down a hall to the ski trail. From there you put skis on and ski down to the Zephyr lift. Super easy and convenient. You can also take the bus line to the bottom of the mountain at Winter Park. Iron Horse sits at the bottom of Mary Jane so you will need to handle a blue run to get back to Iron Horse. You could also get to the bottom of WP and take the shuttle back too. Our condo was nice and roomy. The kitchen was the jewel of this unit. The only negative is the condo is very dark as the living areas are around the back of the unit and sun comes around the front so lights had to be on even during the day. Everything was in working order and you could easily sleep 8 and the living area can easily entertain that same number for TV watching. Iron Horse is slightly dated but the cleanliness and quietness made it an enjoyable stay.
